Cloud Connoisseur Glass

I don’t know much about glass ash catchers. Could someone explain the two different offerings from connoisseur glass, advantages/disadvantages, etc?
Take note of the glass difference in the Protege proper, and the ashcatch. It keeps your bong very clean, helps cleanup, allows for just a simple swish of water & iso for your bongs and never needing to soak. The ash catch on the other hand can be left to soak overnight much more easily. I definitely always want one after this being my first ash catcher.

Spent a couple of days with the Protégé piece. I’m certainly not an expert but I love the diffusion on this, thousands of lovely cooling bubbles. I’ve never had a more sturdy/heavy water pipe. My dilemma is I do much of my vaping in bed. Is this highly unusual???
This glass calls for a flat surface. Hooked up a whip and turned it into an ideal bedside setup. It’s so study and secure it’s not going anywhere! Excited for the Prophet to arrive this week!!! Glad I discovered this thread.
Preorder will be starting on a bed friendly piece very shortly ❤️ You are not alone friend 😂 that is my primary sesh spot, some require a wooden area, nice coutch, a patio, all I need is that Cali King 😂😂😂

Hopefully end of this week I’ll have pictures up of the new products then in just a few weeks I’ll get to show off an Armored Zeal.

New plugs for the catches are in if any one is interested. Look almost identical just a solid glass button on top.

Really enjoying both of the current selections. The Prophet has quickly turned into my go to piece…dry, as it’s meant  Using the non drop ash catcher is a nice pairing and has kept it rather clean.

Any chance of the drop down ash catchers being left swing instead of right swing? Left handed problems I know lol.

It’s actually going to be placed middle front to appease both parties ❤️. The new rig is what I would call the middle ground of prophet and protégé. Aimed at flavor with a chuggy perc system. Whole lotta color work coming soon.

I have a suspicious feeling that some translation software is only half working somewhere...
It is hit or miss. I try to not use slang as much as possible when using them. I try to cut out words that have a lot of meanings to a single word too. English is a tricky one with translators. It’s usually enough they get the general idea though. I messed up saying photos when it should have probably been photographs to translate better. Always trying to practice and fine tune my translator use. Comes in handy quite often. The shitty part is I suck at English 😂😂😂

I specifically think that something is translating what Tots is reading into French but not translating what they are replying.

Yeah, he had a typo. The HHate was suppose to be HÂte. Haha thank you, google works hard to make me fluent 😂
It bothers me a little that I don't see it
I use google translate, they also have an app that’s what I use. Super convenient because I can aim my camera at foreign languages and it will translate on the spot.

Got my Prophet, Protege, and Drop-down ash catcher today all the way in Thailand. Everything was packed well and arrived safely in under a week.

iDB continues to be great answering all of my questions before and after he had my money. Unfortunately Fortunately this means he's going to be getting a lot more of my money in the future.

Now onto a quick review.

I got a Prophet Color. It looks amazing, the base is very sturdy. With the ash catcher and my B2 hanging off of it it was rock solid. It's my first dry rig so still figuring out the temperatures on my B2 for it, but no doubt I'll get it dialed in. The only problem is the Protege is a beast and I don't want to use anything else. So eventually I'll get around to figuring out the Prophet.

Moving onto the Protege, just buy one. It rips, I'm extracting way more than I was on my old piece due to its limited restriction. It's got just a lil bit and it's perfect. I can also hit it longer since it's super smooth. Probably wasn't super fair to the Prophet to try the Protege first. On top of this the Protege is just a large impressive piece to look at, and with the ash catcher and B2 hanging off of it I have to say I feel like a connoisseur.

Overall I'd rate:
Customer Service 11/10
Protege 11/10
Prophet 9.5/10

iDB really went above and beyond helping me out from great shipping rates, to fantastic advice and I look forward to continuing to work with him.

The Protege is just a really impressive piece of glass.

The Prophet isn't going to be for everyone but I see it making me a believer in dry pieces.

Imo if you're on the fence between the prophet and the protege id get a Protege, you won't be disappointed. 90% chance you're going to be happy with a prophet as well but the protege is a sure thing. 0 regrets about getting both here.

Oh ya the ash catcher is super cool and makes everything a lot cleaner. I noticed it helped a fair amount on the Prophet as well.

I've always wanted a piece specifically meant to be used dry. After getting my Prophet in and using it for a bit, I can say it's everything I could've hoped for; it's cute, sturdy, and extremely functional. It's smaller than I expected though (which is a good thing), so I thought I'd put a size comparison.

For how compact it is, it does a pretty good job at cooling vapor. It adds about 69cm of length to the vapor path, which doesn't include the turbulent air caused by the spikes. It's long enough to let me crank up the heat to taste flavors that I wouldn't be able to native, but doesn't have such a large volume that the flavor gets dulled or stale. Like some others have said, it even works decent in reverse with some water added.

My only complaint is that I wish both ends were 14mm, but at least the 14-18mm adapter is way cleaner looking than an 18-14mm adapter.

Teaching your kid about how to manage a "drop" when your product is in high demand, I see.😄
I’m hoping one day, then I’ll buy one, hate adapters, all my gear is 14mm…. :(
I wish both sides were 18mm like my Protégé. I have both sizes for all my gear. But I much prefer the 18 stuff. And I have a bunch of great 19 MPs.

I've used exclusively 10 and 14mm glass for the last few years and thought I was a 14mm guy. But with hanging an ash catcher and a heater off the bowl the 18mm glass is a lot more sturdy. Things just feel a lot more solid. I'm still using an adapter for my 14mm bowl but got an 18mm one on the way.

Haha yeah she’s around 10 feet tall right now. She’s always been shy and unsure of herself so this is amazing getting to see her gain confidence in herself.

I wish it was all 18 also myself too but it just looked so out of place with that big joint there. I’ve always found it easier/ more cosmetically pleasing to use a reducer vs a 14m to 18 female adapter to make it adaptable to different setups.

Oh yeah bro, that’s daddy’s candy right there. Nothing beats it 😂.

Never even thought about that aspect of it. If I used an ash catcher, I'd appreciate the stability of a larger joint. I can't really complain though, you can barely even tell the adapter is there.
