Hi all, i really wanna get the mighty but i'm unsure about the vapepath of it because for long term, i don't want any plastic in the vapour path.. would having this glass mouthpiece eliminate any plastic in the vap path?... https://www.vapefiend.co.uk/mighty-...path=mighty/crafty-easyflow-glass-mouthpieces if not, i may have to opt for the firefly...

also, please feel free too recommend me a high quality vape with a non-plastic vapepath.. thanks peeps

I can't speak for the Mighty, but I do have a Firefly. This is what I can tell you.

I recently did some investigation on the matter of a portable vape. I think everyone should have a portable vape first and then a desktop second if your home a lot. The portable can be used anywhere. The Firefly is a good portable. It's stylish and well made. Glass and metal airpath. The battery issues are mostly a thing of the past, but it can be a pain in the ass to keep clean and while vaping you need to keep prying the lid off and on. Many love their's. I say meh. I could take it or leave it. So this is where I am:

My desktop is a nano. No doubt about it. This is the best vape I've ever had. :brow: All glass airpath.

If I could do the portable thing over again. I'd pass on the Firefly and go for a Artizer Air or even the Solo. I'd get the glass gong so you can punch it into your water pipes too. They're pretty versatile, glass airpath, and I like that the Air has removable batteries. Much cheaper than the Mighty too ;)

(crafty, mighty) no... the so called cool7ng unit is made of plastic..? so before the vapor goes in the glass mouthpiece it passes trough the plastic cooling unit...

lotus, vapman, daisy, lily and esv are vape with no plastic in the vapor path as far as I know also zion, okin in my opinion...

Solo!!!!!!!

Many FC members have spent a fuck load of cash on portables like the Mighty,Crafty, ESV...

And guess what they still use more than everything else?
Back to their trusted Solo!

I've got one on the way, I simply couldn't pass up the deal they have on @VaporNation , plus lots of freebies.

I miss Medicating while laying down, once my Solo arrives... I'm dedicating a full night of laying on my bed, and Vaping myself into a coma.

I love the mighty but when i use it a ton the plastic path does start to irritate me.

Don't get me wrong I love the mighty and I read there's somewhere that sells a glass stem for it, then it passes thru the cooling unit but doesnt taste like plastic in the path or anything like that. I got a Solo again after craving the glass air path and just bought a second solo which is the setup i had before getting the mighty! still keeping my mighty no question, its the best for when i want to just get shit tons of vapor effortlessly, but the solo is great.

vapornation might have a good sale but i have got all my solos over time from @PuffItUp who has unparalleled customer service, 2 day shipping by default, amazing prices all year long!!!

i'm going to go with the Air so just to clarifty... with the Mighty, even if you get the glass mouth piece, plastic is still involved in the vape path because of it's cooling unit yeah?

You are correct sir!

You've made a wise decision, either the Air or Solo.

Every session I have with my new Solo is just getting better and better.
This is simply a beast of a portable.

I friggen love it.

Then there is also us FC members who have tried many vaporizers and realize the solo is nothing more than a beginners vape for people willing to make a lot of compromises on vapor quality and build quality.

Just my opinion by I could not disagree more. I have been at this game for 10 years, and started with Arizer v-tower and have owned every Arizer product many times over the years, as well as many vapes costing hundreds more (Herbalizer, Cloud, EVO, Mighty, Crafty, Plenty, Nano, etc) and i'm right back to exclusively using the Solo and consider it my favourite vape of all time.

@Hashtag46&2 is BANG ON.

You honestly prefer using the Solo over everything else you just listed?

I don't own a Solo, but have used one several times. It's a fine vape, and for the price, it's hard to beat. It's a proven warrior and wouldn't want to take away from it.

But when you're just comparing performance, and not performance to dollar ratio, I just find it can't hold a candle to the others you listed that I've tried. Too long to get a full extraction, too high of a draw resistance, etc

I'm not sure which Solo you have used, but the 2014 models onward have a very open draw, so much that I use it exclusively with a PV gong (non pvhes). I can rip .05 or .1 in one snap if I choose, and I have videos in the Solo thread to prove this. The other vapes mentioned are just a small sample of those that I have owned and then sold. For me, the Solo blows them out of the water but, simply because I want a small portable form factor (even Nano cord annoyed me), I want glass gong and heat from above with no more steel than a stainless screen. I can't wait for a super Solo! Honestly, nothing is smoother on my airways than the Solo...primary convection vapes kill my lungs. Been thinking about the Herbalaire as a super Solo...

I'd maybe make an exception for the Plenty and Mighty, but those vapes are completely different categories....sold them regardless, but kinda miss 'em. The Solo is just so much more efficient than both.

Agreed, my intention was in comparison to the thick milkshake airflow of the older models. Regardless, it can be as open as you allow with tilting, and I don't find it an issue myself.

It might be improved, but I'm comparing to other vapes like the Mighty and EVO. In comparison to those, it's still very restricted.

And I completely disagree with your assessment of it being more "efficient", but that's probably because we define it differently. I look at efficiency as extracting all the actives, in the quickest and easiest manner possible.

Idk, to me there's still no comparison if don't factor in price.

Mighty can't do .025 like the Solo can (efficiency), it can't sit on a gong hands free unless you construct a DIY muzzmod. I can remove the Solo from gong anytime I want and get more of a convective sesh if I so choose. I can have a purely glass path without all the plastic, and maintenance is a breeze in comparison. Furthermore, a much easier company to deal with for warranty, not that it's ever really necessary, especially in comparison to the Mighty. I still love the Mighty, but not if I can buy 3 Solo's for the price of 1 Mighty, and then the battery maintenance $$$$, yes money always is a factor for me as is bang for buck. Regardless, I can get just as good vapour out of my Solo as the Mighty, perhaps even tastier.

That's exactly how I define efficiency. I know others refer to the word efficiency in this context as the least amount of herb used. In other words which vape conserves your stash the best. That said, if the OP wants an all glass vapor path at a great price point then the Solo or Air would be fine choices.

As you know, I ordered the Mighty today and I'm not the least bit concerned with the plastic. I trust a reputable company like Storz and Bickel to source the finest components with more than adequate heat resistance ratings. On the other hand, a cheap vape with plastic in the vapor path from a company with no track record or questionable reputation would have me very concerned though.. All plastics are not the same..

@Chill Dude you won't regret it. IMHO the top vapes on the market are Desktop: Herbie / Portable: Mighty. Also both the most expensive in each respective category.

Best bang for buck still goes to the Solo.

Agreed, Solo best bang for the buck and a time tested winner. I'm still going to keep my Solo for traveling on business trips mainly because it's so easy to get absolutely clean for travel.. I don't want any dogs sniffing my suitcase haha..

It never stopped being an issue for me and I have had 2 different solos that were supposed to be the newer open air path.

Wow, you must be really sensitive because the design change was quite noticeable. Have you tried tilting the Solo? I use my 99% with gong, and literally it's so loose that I can just rock it back and forth. Take a look at some of my milk videos in the Solo thread....you'll see exactly what i'm talking about. Obviously it's not EVO airflow, but when you look at the hits you would think I was hitting an EVO.... but everyone is different.

I actually had to pass on the PVHES because of "too much" airflow, so i'm content with the regular stock stems and gong. @Bravesst is actually selling all his "non stock" stems and accessories as well. Some people need very wide open flow like an LSV, but for me it's too much and quickly irritates my airways, and the Solo is the perfect sweet spot. Surely the Mighty is much more open, but it also has restriction depending on how much you pack and tamp and what screen you use, cleanliness of CU, etc.

My experience with the Solo stems are as follows....

Stock = Draw resistance is strong compared to all other vapes I have tried, but you are rewarded by silky smooth and milky white tasty clouds. The stem is a little loose fitting and could be improved upon.

PVHES (Vortex Shorty) = Very little draw resistance which tastes amazing, and efficiently extracts the goodness, but is ridiculously loose fitting and 9/10 I end up with it in my mouth and a lap full of ABV.

EasyFlow (Long Stem) = Very little draw resistance like the PVHES, the sessions are longer to get full extraction, but still very tasty and milky white clouds, but the fit is very snug indeed (as is the EasyFlow WT GonG), I wish all the stems fitted this nicely!

I'm torn between the EasyFlow and the PVHES as my favourite and might have to try another PVHES stem to get a full comparison... I just wish my PVHES fitted as snugly as the EasyFlow stem seem to.

Both are nice and thick glass compared to the stock stems and I do prefer them over the stock stems.

I don't have much experience with many vapes, but I would definitely say that the draw restriction with the stock Solo stem is no reason whatsoever to be a deal breaker!

The stock stems work perfectly well and are very rewarding with thick clouds and as there are so many aftermarket stems available you are guaranteed to find your perfect stem to accompany your Solo / Air and your preferred draw resistance.
