I know a couple people who have had full-blown grand mal seizures from smoking it.
Not sure exactly what this is (the grand mal seizure), but I had a HORRIBLE time with Synthetic Cannabis.
Just looked up some stuff on Grand Mal Seizures......I may have had a mild one? There were a few times when I was drinking and using "spice" where I felt I overdid it and "greened out" but there was one other time in particular that really stands out to me.
Had a legal situation, where I had to quit weed for a few months because I thought I would end up getting probation or some sort of punishment where I would be tested...I got 40 hours of community service, so I am pissed at myself for not being able to just quit weedy things at the time and also swoll that I never had to quit in the first place.
I bought a little chillum, this was my "spice pipe" didn't want to ever use anything else, and wanted it to only have spice resin as I didn't want to get a positive from weed resin. Worked well enough, but I was craving more. I have never done crack, but spice is kind of like weed crack....the high is very short lived is really what I mean. And I feel your tolerance increases quickly through the day.
So, to get a better/bigger experience, I made a GB, with my chillum as the bowl. Believe I used molding clay to seal around the edges and hold it perfect in place! Thing was pretty sweet for a man made contraption!
I smoked spice throughout the days typically. Just like I would do weed for like 3 months. Really regret it, feel I killed brain cells.
After a few months, I did one GB too many. I remember ripping it, and then sitting down with my roomates in our living room. I feel really weird. I get up.
My head, felt light headed. My vision, got almost pixelated? Tunnely? Its hard to describe...because I wasn't focused much on that.
But my body, my body is electrocuting. That's why I actually think it may have been Grand Mal, because I saw the stuff about electrical impluses getting screwed up to your muscles and brain. My WHOLE body felt like it was tingling like crazy, like when you have a numb foot and then blood gets back into it. But it hurt! It was so painful to walk! When I talked to my friends, my voice like reverbated my body and it hurt! I walked to my room and bed, when I sit on the bed, jolts! When I lie down! Jolts! When I shift any little way, just intensely uncomfortable pain shoots through my whole body. I close my eyes and try not to move.
I feel better in about 10 minutes. Don't smoke it much more after then. Found out everything was clear shortly thereafter and go back to tree
Scariest experience I have ever had with any drug and closest I ever came to calling 911 or seeking medical help because I took a drug.
I am a stubborn guy, and I'm stubborn medically. I don't really like going to the Dr. If I'm feeling ill or discomfort, I'll grin and bear it for a minute and try home/self remedies, rather then go for something that amounts to "small." And after 10 minutes, I was relatively fine, if not a bit out of it and just shaken at the experience. Me lying on the bed and waiting for it to pass, was me "grinning and bearing it," but I told my friends prior that I may need serious medical help, and they checked me and I told them I was feeling better a few minutes into laying on the bed.
I could wholeheartedly understand why someone would immediately call 911, or in his case, stumble to the police station, it was the weirdest and strangest and UNHEALTHIEST way my body has ever felt. Weed for the most part, or maybe we're used to it, doesn't make me feel off. Sometimes when I take uppers, I'm a little antsy and have sweaty palms/extremities, I feel a little off, but I don't feel unhealthy and its an expected effect (at least for me). This was totally different, 100% negative.
