:tinfoil:

so....ive wondered about this for a while (started looking into it after watching a bee documentary i think), have done some research but curious what others think about this and what you do about it if anything. i keep my smaht phone in my left pant pocket and if left for awhile i do notice a general discomfort that remains even when i remove it but often attribute that to simply having a rectangle of metal in my pocket.

when i checked cancer.gov and mayo clinic they eloquently cite (in a nutshell) the connection with cellphones and cancer is controversial or that there is no clear evidence. im skeptic about that currently so i keep my phone out of my pocket unless im walking somewhere, which means i leave it places sometimes!

Getting Lost
I'm incredibly skeptical of the whole thing. While it is true that cellphones use microwave transmitters, the power is super super low. You have to consider that the Sun, outputs massive amounts of radiation in the whole spectrum. Being outside in the sunlight for a few minutes would be the equivalent of having your phone in your pocket for a day lets say. The amount of danger is negligible, additionally cell phones sold in the US must pass FCC regulations for transmitter power which are based on well established studies on radiation in the relevant spectrums.

Including a relevant link to the FCC for info on the subject. http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/radio-frequency-safety
