CDC recommends to not use vapors with THC products?

I've heard the news about people having strange lung sicknesses from e-cigarettes, but this article from CDC clearly states "vape products" also.

I am no native speaker, so please clarify for me, are people using the vaporizers we normally use to smoke herbs and THC also affected with these "chemical lung burning" symptoms?

It was actually the chemicals being added to vape juice that were the culprits. And improperly purged concentrates as well, perhaps. Peoples' lungs were being burned by the chemicals.
