Well yeah, 60 years ago that $5 is worth about $110 today. Some decent coin there, how many grams you think you were getting back then for a couple joints. I don't really get red-eyed stoned, but I've only been consuming for a decade. But, tolerance is a B.

A "decade", heh, i smoked my first back in 1967.
Yanno, i don't remember. It's kind of an odyssey, really. For about a year of active
hunting, searching and buying smoke, then telling my buds it was really "good shit"
and our smoking it, and, hell, we really didn't even know how to roll a J back then, used a pipe, and
then saying things like, "did u get high?", and "I dunno, yeah, i think so," and "This
time I got some really good stuff, it's real!", and we'd try it and nothing. And then
hearing mythological stuff like, "well, you have to smoke it for a while before you
will really feel the effects of it."
So, yanno, we didn't even know what a gram was
back then. We didn't know any growers, and as far as I knew there weren't any. Figured
it was all bricks from Mexico. It came in sandwich bags mostly, lots w/no seeds,
finely ground and probably no more than a few grams at the most. I mean I got
a Prince Albert can or two, maybe, and a few match boxes of some stemmy, seedy
weed. Never really got high on any of it for most of my first year.
Then we ran into
Alex and BAM, we got high. I got this shit and smoked half of it and was in a trance
almost when i realized, "Shit i'm really fucking high!" And when I told my friends
about it, how, "this is the real thing, just u wait.." And they'd go, "yeah, yeah sure,
right." Then got totally high, and we laughed like i never laughed since. It was so cool.
Alex (i can never forget his name) was available for a year or two back then. It was
great. So high on that shit, so high. I asked him, and he said it's the "mota". It was
seeds, stems, just clean it, roll it, ahhh, what I'd give for more like that.
Ain't had any
stuff since legalization, 8 yrs or so, that's been that kind of high. And then since that
time in 1968, i've had some damn fine stuff, columbo, panama, gold, Kona, skunk,
white afghani hash, some Lebanese hashes but then I quit for 30 years back in 91, and
began again in 2015 or so, and since then nothing remotely as good of a high, or of taste since
those days. Shit today looks great, smells great, tastes ... kind of harsh mostly, and is
pretty much a mid-grade high to one degree or another.

Hell, i'd go triple. Yanno, about 60 years ago, i was paying $5 for a
