Cannabis and Memory

If you are a regular user, do you think Cannabis has impaired your memory to any degree?

There was an article published about this relatively recently but it is not yet clear if either drug used as prophylaxis is efficacious in most cases... Or at what doses.

Cialis is available in a 5 mg daily dose for benign prostatic hyperplasia. With am Rx it can also be purchased from Canadian pharmacies online and shipped to the US for about 100 per 3 month supply using a Canadian generic or cheaper with an Indian generic.

I can say from experience, that i go from having a very sharp memory, to very forgetful when im vaping.
BUT...One of the main reasons i use cannabis, is to dull down my brain and just enjoy my evening. Without cannabis, Im pretty much always "On" and can never stop planning, thinking, worrying about things, big or small. Its great for being a perfectionist, but not so good for my blood pressure, hence why i use.
I do believe that it can negatively affect memory, especially the short term memory.

Although not scientific proof of anything, when I take a T break, my me definitely improves, and gets worse again when I resume vaping.

The folks who issue Maryland Cannabis cards put out a voluntary questionnaire covering many aspects of Cannabis use from type, and frequency...to yes, you guessed it....questions about the impact on memory. Obviously, where there is smoke there is fire and this question is of some importance to those conducting the survey.

No pun intended I don't really remember its impact during my teenage years up until I was 17 in 1969 when I stopped using it altogether.

When I resumed last year in September I was struck by its effects which I suspect are a result of the increased concentration and my age.
Back in the day, I had no problem functioning the next day but now, the effect does not wear off so quickly.

Since I was looking to relieve pain and severe cramps, I quickly switched to very low THC with higher CBD....Pain Killer XL and ACDC which have virtually no THC. I have found that only THC has an impact on my cognition.

I found by mixing these strains with others and keeping the THC percentage very low is helpful. But, that said, I have cut down my use markedly. That is just me. I suspect like anything else, experience is variable.

Recreational use is on the ballet here this November. IT will be interesting to see how this turns out. I don't know if there will be any provisions allowing people to grow their own. I certainly hope so because the legal stuff is about the same or more than it was back in the 60s considering inflation. But, like alcohol, the government wants its cut so I would be surprised if they allow this. Time will tell.

Anecdotal, but I regularly have this experience. Once I start firing up that vitamin THC in the evening, I'll randomly remember something I needed to know about some work problem from earlier in the day. It's like a door was opened to a memory bank I didn't have access to sober. Like everything else, I'd like to see some well designed studies on cannabis and the brain.

I started my cannabis use at 16 without any real breaks .... after 4 decades working in a career field that requires in-depth, multi-level thought and memory .... IMO I functioned at a high level while working. BUT.....I never got high when actually working because the one time I worked high it was a disaster.

Meta-studies? Good luck with that one. Stats are problematic as it is. Doctors are not statisticians, although they often "play one on T.V." Anecdotally, I was on the Dean's list six times out of eight semesters as an undergrad, while consuming as much weed as I could afford. No memory problem for me. YMMV!

Sorry for reviving this one. Want to start taking cannabis to improve my memory. Interesting to find out from where you all get yours? I mean, depending on the country.

Well, in the UK, we have lots of clinics. The best ones are described here. If you live in the UK, that should help you.
