Asking for a friend of mine since ive never been through chemo and such therfore only have so much to offer in my experiences with MJ in managing other health issues.
My friends has stage 4C liver cancer and this week began experimental chemo and increased radiation treatments. First infusion was yesterday doctors said to anticipate side effects to begin in the next 2 or 3 days. He already had a fair amount of pain just from the lesions causing liver swelling and they told him to expect itching, ulcerations of his skin and digestive tract, increased pain, nausea/vomiting, kidney damage, fatigue, and all that usual nasty stuff you get my trying to balance the line between killing cancer and killing you.
I mentioned RSO to him and the strains ive been through for nausea but after that im a bit lost on what else may help his quality of life. Any input for what to look out for is welcome. He is near San Fransisco so should have a good variety with all the growing and reasearch going on up there. I sent him the info on what he needs to get a card and get started and designating a caregiver. Im hoping to compile a list for him since his last experience was recreational and in the early 70's.
