butane exhausted through vacuum pump

Ive tried keeping temps low for that reason. I just seem to not be able to get this bad taste (that im assuming to be butane) still so ive gradually rise the temp. Is it bad that I stop the hotplate for periods of time (work ect) and come back too it. Because I think I have all together put in like 5 whole 24 hour days into this purge with temps up to 130 and vaced at 29.0

Just curious, what kind of butane are you using. How are you vaping the oil? If it is over purged you may lose most of the terps and kill the flavor. And in extreme cases boil off the actives. If you get it too hot, you begin to get into decarboxylation.

ti nail, im in med state and vape dispensary bho aswell of my ti nail
its still a snapy taffy, I have over heated a past batch to basically an oil, just turned to canna caps.

So you have narrowed down the burnt taste to your specific batch. Not related to vape method. Well it looks from the picture to be fairly clear. If you are getting residue left after vaping, maybe some plant waxes, etc in there. If all else fails, winterize it. Use a SS filter <25 micron. That may kill or mute the bad flavor. Also , worst case use a WP with lots of diffusion (+ an ash catcher if available). (More diffusion=less flavor)

It definatly seemed like an un plant like flavor, i still see few bubbles at a slow rate does this mean butane is slowly purging. At 125 and 29.

The bubbles stopped coming and i was left with one bubble. So i ran the pump till it popped and desided to taste. It didnt really taste until I exhaled. I think its getting better. I gave it the lighter test and it did spark a tiny amount.

So ive been filping and its been bubbling. I also read the extraction artist thread, thanks it helped. How long do you usual purge in between flips?Around how many filps till its finished purging?

A silicone rolling pin also helps out big time to get the last bit of butane out of a batch ... especially with larger batches at low temps. I usually vac purge, flip, vac purge then gather my run up into a ball, roll it back out fairly thin with the pin then repeat until my run is fully purged.
