bubbler with solo vs F-bomb

Hey FC!

I've lurked through the threads lots here. Finally I didn't find a post with my question already answered. So here I am making an account and this post.

I currently have the Arizer Solo, I've loved it since I got it. But it's winding down into winter here. I find my throat gets irritated very easy with the vaper, gets very dry. I'm in the market to add some water filteration into my collection. I have two set ups that I'm looking into. (open to more suggestions as well) I'm here in Canada, I'd like to stick with PV if I can.

The first is the Blaze Glass Stemless Bent Neck Disc Diffused Tube Bubbler.
I really like the look of this bubbler with the honey comb inside it. I also don't have any glass pieces yet so this could double for my solo and my other needs. I'd pair it with the 18 mm PVHEGonG High Efficiency GonG with Turbo option. The total of this combination came to $143 after shipping and taxes and the promo code.
I'm planning to mostly use this at my house so portability isn't really key in my decision but it deffiantly helps.

My next option was going to be the F-bomb Jet Diffused Micro Bubbler Tube. I've read nothing but good things about it. It does seem like a little bit more of a task to get the water out than a bubbler but thats minor. I had it paired with 14 mm Shorty Turbo PVHEGonG High Efficienct Gong. (the only 14 mm gong with the turbo that is in stock) This combination ended up being $130 after shipping and tax with the promo code)


I'm looking for any input, and suggestions you guys/gals have for me.

Minitubes hit nice...bongs, bubblers..small recycler mabye? Aschcatcher and J-Hook is a great solution too.

Any recommendations for glass websites in Canada? How is blaze glass?

Yea, as a fellow 'BC' glasshead, there are many ways you can go.

As far as glass goes, there may be cheaper solutions. GBD (glassblowersdirect) offers a 8" hydrotube (a slightly larger f-bomb - same design) for $65 (i think), and Pinnacle has their version (exactly the same as the f-bomb) for $69 with decent shipping (http://thevaporblunt.corecommerce.c...-4-mm-Micro-shower-Water-Tool-Attachment.html).

As far as the bong choice goes, maybe the out of stock 8 arm might be better, but if you have the space for that type of bong, the blaze would work fine... I personally like a smaller piece for my vape as I like to taste the vapor a bit more...

It really comes down to budget. Blaze is production China glass that's on the higher quality spectrum of China glass options. However, there are many canadian and american blowers who will do much better (and more creative) work for a few more dollars. If you are looking to spend more than $100, I think finding a blower and having it shipped to you is worth it. Shipping a bong from the US or China to Canada is no problem (i've done it a few times in the last few months); it's what you put in the bong that is illegal.

Your best case scenario would probably be to splurge for a recycler of some sort. Great for vapor, gives you an oil rig if you ever go that way, and they're fun to look at to boot with that said, a recycler that you will be proud of is going to cost $150-200 minimum. I've had great work done by Colie Glass and I hear Jhanpixel (Aeon glass in the glass forum) is another great blower from colorado. I shipped up a piece of glass a few months back and it came without a hitch from Colie.

I see that colie's shop is currently down, but he does a recycler at about $160 or less (depending on what kind breaks he can give you).

Both are great options that are made with high quality glass. Plus, you'll be helping out a small business/blower

If you are into something more local, the head shops will have local artists, and then you can often find them through facebook or instagram and see if they'll do some direct work with you. That can usually save you some cash, especially if you're in the same area.

This is all for mid-pricing. If you want a really sick piece, there are a lot of black friday deals on the big glass websites right now (aqualab, high priority, etc.) so you can always peruse there as well.
