I am a noob and I am totally confused over this subject . Is Hash concentrate not a concentrate in the same sense as a wax or oil concentrate?
Apparently not. Apparently, throwing it into a pen vape is gonna waste it. I'd like to try it without mixing with herb, and I don't want to spend a load of cash on a device thru which to try this stuff out. What is the cheapest way of smoking or vaping hash concentrate for a most likely one time one gram trial run?

the difference is the use of a solvent.

a cannabisplant has trichomes as you may know, so seperating these trichomes, wich contain the stuff we want, from the plantmatter will make it mnore concentrated. this is hash. but it still contains plenty of stuff besides cannabinoids and flavor/smell.
but you can also use a solvent to concentrate it, so you choose a solvent that dissolves cannabinoids and taste mostly, and leaves the rest behind. so more concentrated as hash.
I never hads hash oil, nor do I have a pen vape, so I don't know much about those, but I would think that in this case the waxes that are still present in bubble(wich is made without solvent, you do use water but the water doesn't act as a solvent) cause a problem.

maybe the vaporgenie is something for you? I find it works very well with hash, and it's pretty cheap. and it's a nice bacxkup to have laying around for power outages, camping trips etc.

What do you already own for vaporizers (not pen vapes)? Possibly you can vape the bubble in your existing vape. I make a "bud sandwich" and vape it in my Solo, for example. :)

I just happened to come by this bubble and I am very eager to try it.
Puddlegum, all I have in my possession at the present is an Omicron vaporizer.

I haven't tried that vape brand. Maybe you can mix your bubble with some kind of e-juice? I'm not really sure.

If you are a combuster you can sprinkle it on top of a bowl or add it to a tobacco hand-roll.

And flame is the water. So I can just heat it up on a knife. Do that jar thing. ? Do people still drink that frozen orange juice?

Screw it. I'll just cook something with it. Is one gram enough to cook with ? Anybody have a recipe ? Should I contact Rachael Ray?

1 gram of bubble hash would translate to multiple edible doses, for most people's tolerance. Bubble hash is at least 40% THC, so 1g hash = 400mg+ of THC. To put that in perspective, the state of Colorado's new guidelines stipulate that 1 dose = 10mg THC, and a single package can contain no more than 10 doses totalling 100mg. So your 1g of bubble hash equals 40 (or more!) Colorado dispensary edible doses, which by law would have to be split into 4 (or more) individually sealed packages to prevent accidental overdose.

What is your level of experience and comfort zone for edibles? If you are a hash novice and/or an edibles novice, then I do NOT recommend that your first experience should be home made hash edibles! If you are smoking/vaping, then you can take 1 hit, wait 30 minutes, see how you are feeling, maybe take another hit if you want. You can't do that with edibles.

I've had 25mg THC capsules several times. I did have a few uncomfortable moments with that dosage. 10mg sounds like a more pleasurable experience. However, I am novice to hash. The info you've passed along is useful, I appreciate it very much. I will start reading up on the science of cannabis.

Yeah edibles really hit different people in completely different ways. There are lots of people out there who think the Colorado guidelines are much too strict. I personally prefer a dose in the 50-100mg THC range, and yet I've been criticised on the forums for my "weak ass edibles." ;) For many people 100mg isn't even a strong dose.

I tried an experiment. I grabbed a tiny piece of the Bubble. I mean tiny, like a crumb that falls off bread, with a few dust sized specs. Put it on a teaspoon with some coconut oil and then I put it over a flame for about a minute. Then I mixed it into some melted ice cream and sucked it down. Didn't really expect anything to happen considering the amount I used and it didn't seem that the bubble dissolved well.
After 2 1/2 hours I started feeling something slowly creeping up on me. 3 hours later I realized I was stoned. Still, the buzz increased, 5 hours after ingesting it got very intense with constant dehydration. 9 hours passed til normalcy began to dawn. Overall , it was more enjoyable than uncomfortable, though the intense part did get pretty dark.
As much as I may hate to admit it, I guess I'm a lightweight. Doing a smaller piece could be difficult without a microscope and tiny tweezers. Guess I may be better off smoking, as much as I find it tempting to continue experimenting with ingestion.
I have one question concerning the physical effects, namely the dry mouth, nose, sinuses. Felt like the air I was breathing turned into dust in my nostrils. Is the body becoming deficient of , maybe , nutrients and vitamins as the cannabis takes effect ? Besides the water.

Yeah. It's looking like smoking may be the best thing. Can anyone point me to a pipe or pipe type for smoking bubble concentrate straight?

Yes, I realize this but it seems the question I ask, whether it be for a vaporizer or a pipe, is a difficult one to answer. Also, smoking vs. vaping (of bubble) appears to be a point of debate over the web.

I think asking about meat on a vegan forum would be worse, a lynch mob would mobilize in search of me.

Sorry guys. Actually, I haven't combusted since shortly before I joined this site about a year ago. Been using oil and wax. I don't expect to have opportunity to again come into possession of Bubble. I don't have access to herb, at least not at the moment. I'm looking for a cheap ,compact, but efficient method. If I were to combust, it would be only as a last resort.
That last resort ,however, looks to be inevitable because what I seek appears to not exist. Unless I settle for mediocrity. It may be time to shell out some cash and get a taste of the good life.

Combusting hash is better than combusting flower IMO if you have no other option. A traditional hash pipe looks something like this:

but you could get away with a $5 glass spoon pipe and a fine screen

yes hash vapes fine, you have to know/try how to get good results, but once you're used to the differences between vaping weed and hash it vapes just as well, if not better(bigger/denser clouds, and lasts much longfer after each time loading)
I have had periods of multiple months that I only got hash, it was more economical, 10 euros of hash is a similar weight as 10 euros weed but lasts a lot longer. and I also like nepali/indian hash a lot, prefer it to the effect of most of the weed available around here.

One of the reasons I got my Vapman was to be able to enjoy more traditional hashes, without the meh I've had when using other vaporizers... I wanted to be able to mix it with the absolute least amount of flowers... none would be fine... and have an easily cleanable bowl.

This seems to be working pretty well with the VM. I now just need to get my pressed hash powdered down a bit more. :)

to powder it down I use a variation on the old lightertrick. I take some chunks and put them in my vaporizer, then I take a few inhales, so the hash is heated, just like the lighter does when you use a lighter to help crumble hash. and then I take my stirring tool(a metal stick about the thickness of the thread of a paperclip) and I gently push down onto the heated chunks of hash, then stirring it a bit, breaking up the larger bits as much as possible and spreading it out over the screen. that way even works well with soft hashes like nepal and afghan that you else wouldn't be able to get to powder at all. the only problem is the hash tends to stick to the stirring stick, but usually it's not too sticky so it still comes loose easily, but some more wax-like hashes can be annoying.

Guys hashes are great in all normal convection vapes. Don't use buds, they get spent way too quickly and you get the taste of AVB in with your tasty hash.

Simply get some SS/ti wool and put a decent layer over the heater of your convection vape, then another screen on top of it. Basically when you are done you will have a ss wool/screen sandwich.

Then put a bed of your favourite bubble hash over the top, make sure it covers the screen totally in a flat, solid layer over the top. Then put another screen on top and some SS wool and then use your vape as normal. This will prevent serious gunking of your vape/glass. It is the tastiest way to vape non-full melt hashes. I have had great success with this on the Crafty, Mighty, E-nano, Lotus and Solo.

If it fully melts though, just dab it my friends ;)

You just had low blood sugar. Next time eat a meal high in carbohydrates, a little protein, and the negative things you experienced won't be there.

As far as how to use bubblehash, just do what you did for ingestion(the same amount), and mix it with some type of herb like oregano or peppermint. Only use enough that allows the hash to melt into the plant fibers. You don't need much. A little tobacco is good also but, if you do use tobacco I recommend a good quality rolling tobacco from a good company like "American Spirits". Once the clouds get thin, break up the herb/hash mixture more, and you will get more clouds. Have fun.
