Here are the pros and cons for each:
Lotus
(pros):
- no taste of butane as the flame never comes in contact with the flower
- once you figure out your breath work, it can produce amazing clouds
- water adapter is great with any bong/rig
- pretty easy to clean
- very tasty vapors
(cons)
- little bit of a learning curve
- potential to combust
- not very discrete
Sticky Brick
(pros):
- people have complained about the taste of butane
- once you figure out your breath work, it can produce amazing clouds
- water adapter available as well
- pretty easy to clean
(cons)
- little bit of a learning curve
- potential to combust
- not very discrete
Vapman
(pros):
- no taste of butane as the flame never comes in contact with the flower
- very discrete
- doesn't have water adapter, if this matters to you
- pretty easy to clean
(cons)
- a little harder to use, pretty steep learning curve
- harder to produce big clouds
Hope this helps. There are other butane vapes you might want to consider; Vaponic (great little device, amazingly smooth, great flavor, and huge clouds once you master it ... however very steep learning curve), and the Mistvape Essence (similar to a Sticky Brick with respect to breath work, but a little bit more discrete)
Cheers,
Tiny
Thanks!
What makes the learning curve of the Vaponic so steep? Just combed their website and watched a vid. Looks like a really cool option
The learning curve is a little steep for the Vaponic as you need to count the seconds to heat things up... the time can be different depending on how dry your herb is, how you pack it, the strength of the flame (single flame torch vs. multi-flame), and how far the flame is to the chamber. Don't get me wrong I love the Vaponic, once you master it this vape will give you great flavor, and amazingly huge and smooth vapors. The issue is that this a quite a bit of trail and error of under heating and then combusting until you figure out with works for you. With a single flame torch lighter I heat the chamber for a count of 16 seconds, stop for 2 seconds, then heat 8 seconds, stop for 2 seconds, and then heat another 5 seconds.
