It seems every time I make oil, the smell is so powerful, that it fills the room in seconds and lingers, even after putting the closed container in a drawer. I put the containers with oil inside a food container, and it still reaks. Do I need a small mason jar? I have my setup down to wear there's no smell when dabbing. Have a smoke buddy and take good sized dabs that I can always finish completely.

Are you running butane INDOORS. I hope not! That is a recipe for DISASTER. FORGET THE SMELL YOU COULD DIE!

At the least, it sounds like the oil isn't purged enough. It shouldn't smell like anything but hash. I really can't see the best, most potent stuff stinking up a room. I can leave an open jar and not smell it at all unless I put it up to my face.

Haha I'm not talking about running oil. Just storing it and working with it.

if you're dealing with good/fresh stuff, there are lots of volatile terpenoids (wonderful smells).

Have you thought of air scrubbers/filters for the room, like indoor growers use?

And euhmmm...if you can smell the terps you are probably using way too high temperatures! If you do a good job, in my opinion, it should not smell anywhere outside of your evap dish...

if your running it, it definitely has a tendency to smell up the place especially indoors ( which should never be done!), you may not even notice it. But if you walk outside, then come back in after 5 minutes, you'll definitely notice almost a growers smell to the place, not quite like someone is smoking, but definitely like there's flowers around.
