Best Ways to Vape Hash?

What are good or any new ways or equipment for vaping hash (presuming it's not full melt, has inert veg. material in it such that it can't be dabbed)?

Even fluffing the hash (heating slightly to soften and break it up), the small(er) particles and high(er) terpene/cannabinoid levels just cause it to gunk up, not vape well with either convection or conduction vapes.

Particularly if one wants to convection vape hash, how is it best done? Are there any alternatives to adding the hash into the usual broken-up flowers, whether by mixing or layering? For example, any vapes or accessories that allow spreading a controlled thin layer of powdered hash between 2 metal or ceramic filters/screens, with that then heated/vaped by convection and/or conduction? Or rather than mixing with pot, can one mix hash with inert porous ceramic or other beads? Or any dab tools suitable for hash? It looks like a Magic Flight Launch Box might work well with fluffed/broken up hash?

Déjà vu,

Which of the suggestions from YOUR previous thread have you explored?

I've tried grinding hash, cutting with scissors, chopping with a knife, making snakes, etc, etc... These days, I just use a ZX ball vape, a little vape cotton on the bottom of the bowl and just drop a chunk in as is. First inhale heats it up. Then stir it up. Doesn't need to be neat. I just take a stir stick and smash it all up, cotton and all. Next inhale will be full on. Stir as required until spent. All convection.

It's true that hash containing vegetable matter tends to melt and clog the screen during vaporization. But not always, it depends on the the screen and the device, I think.

For example, I'm currently using the Volcano to vaporize hash by convection. It doesn't clog. I simply add the hash to the filling chamber screen (and stir once after the first balloon).

With the Mighty, I use the method you've indicated: I stack a screen, the hash on top, then another screen.
With the Terpcicle or Quartz Cap I place hash on quartz beads (the hash tends to clog the beads and I make a tunnel in the hash as soon as I start vaporizing to let the air through).
With Starry I use dosing capsules, crumbling the hash directly into the capsule. I add a layer of vape wool to the bottom of the capsule with the oily-type hash.
With the Steamwhistle, I crumble small quantity of hash onto vape wool.
With the BakX or Rossner Tea Drug Vaporizer, I roll the hash in a flexible screen, prepare 3 and place them in a basket.
With the Phase 3 or the Couchlog, I deposit small quantities of hash directly on the screen, it doesn't clog.

I've never tried mixing ceramic or glass beads with the hash. Can you give it a try and report back in the thread ?

Happy hash vaping :)

On a bed of vape cotton in the Taroma360 or the Tiodw copy is my preferred method at the moment

The Quasar Petit Raas interests me but the hot shisha coals also worry me

I see "vape wool" and "vape cotton" mentioned in these threads and while I see vape wool is a specific retail product is "vape cotton" just whatever organic unbleached cotton someone would use to make ecig wicks with? I've been meaning to try with some of the cotton I used to use for that but want to make sure it's the same thing first. I've got organic cotton balls that I used to unroll and also those "Japanese cotton" (Muji, iirc) pads that I used to cut up.

In my case it is the same stuff...

I use this rayon cotton, specifically. Cheap and with 40ft it feels like a lifetime supply. That said, I want to try some hemp fiber because I never have before, but this cotton worked great in my Tafee bowl and Tempest(s) for hash.

Nice, thanks! I never used rayon but that's another material I remember people using. Since posting earlier I remembered that I also have a box full of degummed hemp fiber that I never played around with. Glad some of this stuff can be used in my other vapes; sounds like I got a few materials already on hand to try some hash with!
