Best Vaporizer for me at $250? please give me your opinion

Hey ,

Im Juan Pablo. I need to buy a good quality vaporizer. Im 23 years old, I smoke since my 16's. I need a vaporizer because I understand the benefits. I dont want more crap in my lungs . I need to ask:

What vaporizer is the best for $250? my requirements are that the vaporizer must have a good heat path (I dont want to inhale plastic or anything but vapor), must be durable (good quality) and it needs a temperature control.

I have in my list of options the Arizer Extreme Q 4.0 but Im not 100% sure. I have read that some people said that it dont feel right on the throat and lungs.

All information and opinion are relevant for me. Please help me to choose the righ one.

As long as it doesn't stink or have flaking ceramic, I'd probably prefer the Solo to the DBV/SSV, because it hits just as well, can be used with water pieces more effortlessly, has no tubing, is portable, and IMO is markedly more efficient. If you are a super-heavy user you may find the battery life bothersome, and you maybe be pissed when you have to plug a unit in for 2 hours and have NO way of vaporizing during that time - but taken those problems into account, I'd rather have the solo. Now the Solo is a little more money than a DBV and a little less than an SSV.

I like my Herbalaire, and it's not a bad choice.

If you want to experiment before you take the plunge, there are many awesome, lighter-based vapes which work quite well for little money, such as the glass vapobowl for 30ish, the vaporstar for 25ish, and the vapocane for 40-65ish. You might ultimately realize a model like this is all you need.

there is no one "best" vaporizer, it all comes down to your personal preferences, including method of delivery, the way it heats the herb (conduction, convection, or IR), and whether you are looking for efficiency, or huge vapor clouds.

i know you said you wanted a temperature control, but i will recomend log vapes and the MFLB anyway because one is able to control temps with draw speed and variable power supplys/Power adapters

If you are looking for a hard hitting, herb conservative vape, and want something unique that stands out amongst other log vapes, i would recommend Underdog Aromatherapy. Though log vapes do not have a temperature control, Dave offers a variable power supply that one can use to achieve different temps. If stealth and portability are your biggest desires, check out the MFLBPA combo. Fairly efficient and hands down the best portable vape on the market currently, the MFLB is great for those who are on the go a lot. The power adapter is a must have if you are using it at home or in a dorm often, as it preserves your batteries for on the go, gives you a range of different temperatures you can adjust, and is much less of a hassle than waiting for batteries to cool down during intense sessions. MFLB also backs their products with a lifetime guarantee, an idiot proof one at that as they will even cover user error. It is not the best vape for super thick vapor clouds though, and there are better options if a heavy hitter is what you're after

if you must get medicated as quickly as possible in the shortest time possible, a heavier hitting vape such as the SSV or DBV or vapor brothers would be better suited. these vapes deliver massive hits, but at the price of herb usage, which is nowhere near as conservative as the previous two listed.

these are all the vapes i have experience with so i can't really comment on any others, but i hope this helps somewhat.

I'd 1st start by trying to determine the features i want most, then i'd try to pick my selection among the few remaining candidates. For example, i'm quite enthousiastic about convection heating implemented with halogen technology as it's fast and can be made pristine clean. At 250 $ i wouldn't be able to acquire an Oracle or an Aroma v4.0 but maybe i'd consider adding a bit of extra cash to reach the Venus price-tag range, if i were shopping around for a vaporizer, that is!

You're also going to have to find a seller that will ship to your country. If I were you I'd start there first. Contact some of our recommended dealers retailers to see if they'll ship to you. You could spend a while finding the vape of your choice, but if nobody will deliver, you've wasted some time for nothing.

I need a healthy vaporizer with a very safe air-heat path. I dont want nothing but vapor in my lungs. That is very important for me, health. It needs to have a temperature control, made of good quality (last years) and it needs to be thrifty with the quantity of cannabis.

At first I thought in the Arizer Solo but then in this great forum I discovered that the ceramic heating element have a considerable problem. I know that Arizer will put stainless steel in the affected zone but I contacted to Arizer about that and they dont replied my message.

About the SSV Im new into that model. Some weeks ago good folks in the chat recommended the SSV too. I investigated and seems very good. But I have read that you need to inhale very quickly (?) and it needs manual work. In what specs is better the SSV vs the Extreme Q?

I must admit that Im confussed. I have read many pages in the forum about the different vaporizers but Im not sure about what model pick. Im in Santiago, Chile. I dont think I will have problems about shipping.

Unfortunately, the Arizer towers have one thing regarding health that you might not like, and that is the airpath that goes through the electronics, when this is a problem, it cant be considered a clean air path. the DBV and the SSV, however, both have clean air paths, as its simply a hole in the front of the glass heater cover.

The EQ also has digital readouts and fans, that means more moving parts and things that have a better chance of breaking or malfunctioning then something simple like the DBV/SSV with no moving parts besides the temperature dial. Keep in mind that any digital readout giving you a number will never be an accurate measurement of the temperature of the vapor you are inhaling. its simply a better reference point and is by no means accurate.

The SSV is a very good vaporizer. It's some people's opinion that it requires a fast draw speed but I'm not one of those. Slow draw speed can work just as well, perhaps even better, you just have to adjust the temperature accordingly. It has one big shortcoming though, it can eat it's way through your stash like a freaking maniac. Conserving your product can be very hard with it and it's one of the reasons why I sold mine. There are some modifications you can do to make it a little more conservative, but if conserving is an important item on your wishlist I think you better look elsewhere.

The good people of Arizer promised us a Solo without a coated bowl within a week or two, I'd have no problem at all recommending you one of those. It's very easy to use which make it a perfect vape for a newcomer, but it's hassle free operation makes it really nice and effortless to use for the experienced vaporist as well. Battery life could be a downside if you're a very have user or want to use it in large groups, but otherwise it's a great devise.

Have you looked at some of the log type vapes already? (purple days, myrtlezap, woodies, underdog, toasty top, did I forgot one anyone?)

Those models are also highly recommended, especially for people who want to conserve.

I vote for the HerbalAire H2.1 Extremely durable and efficient, many modes of operation and brand new for under $200. I have enjoyed mine and will keep it after I get the Cloud.

Just my opinion, the concerns about the electronics being in the Extreme's airpath are exaggerated. They are in the airpath prior to the heating element. I'll admit it doesn't sound like the tidiest setup in the world and clearly most would prefer if they were completely separate but if you consider that "in the airpath" you might as well consider everything outside your vape in the airpath too. I don't think there's much chance of danger. I've used the Extreme a lot and I've never tasted anything but good vapor

As to the OP, a ton of vapes fall into your price range. Personally I find it hard to believe that anyone would ever be disappointed with the LB. When I first started getting into vaping I remember that the LB and the log vaporizers looked kinda silly and amatueish to me, so my first two vapes were an Iolite and an Extreme-Q. While those were good, now I'm pretty much exclusively on my Aromazap and LB because they're so convenient and work so well. I'd read about those two and try to imagine if they can fit into what you want to use them for because you will not be disappointed.

Ahhhh . . . I didn't like the MFLB. No offense but the box and I just haven't figured each other out yet. I still have it but it sits unused. I desperately tried to like it. They even sent me 2 more batteries to try but to no avail. I know the next step is a different unit from Blissville, and that they will take care of me, but I think I am just going to sell it instead. When I need to travel in state, or stealth medicate, I find cookies or hash caps work great.

My personal preference is no on air path electronics. imo, electronics in use get warm, are made with nasty things, and could possibly off gas toxic substances with regular use or during a failure.

Have you read vaporpedia, watched JDsupremes videosa on YT and asked for help in the MFLB thread here? If you havent done all those things then you havent exhausted your resources just yet. You need something to give you some hope in the little Box afterall! check out those 3 places and please try it again!

Thank you for the information. I will be honest: Im confused. I dont know what to buy. At first I liked the Q or the Solo but both have problems. The Q have the electronics in the air path (I dont like that) and the Solo has the problem with the ceramic bowl. I like the idea of the MFLB but for some reason it dont seems to me like a device for regular use in a daily basis. I use cannabis regularly and the device will be used by me and other two family members. Other thing that I dont like about the MFLB is the absence of temperature control.

I must add that I use small amounts of cannabis. I smoke daily just 5 or 6 hits and in two or thre sessions. That is only two hits for session.

What can I do? What quality options do I have?

The biggest thing for you re: log vapes is that there's no temperature control. While it is possible to raise the temperature slightly by using a higher voltage adapter or putting a beer cozy over the unit, the temperature changes are generally slow so it's not really temperature control during the vape session.

The MFLB does technically have temperature control even if it is unorthodox compared to your average variable temp. vapes. Basically you control the temperature by altering your draw speed. If I want a low temp hit I draw quickly which keeps the screen cool because the air is moving fast. If I want a big, heavy rip then I take multiple little hits while keeping the battery pressed in which keeps the temperature high.

Does this make the whole process sound a little cheap? Sure. But it simply works, exactly as well as you've heard. If you get the power adapter it'll be perfect for all the people in your house who want to use it, and there'll be no worries about batteries not being charged. Plus, you'll still be under $200. Like I said, when I started vaping I didn't think the MFLB could work for me, but now it's my favourite vape by far.
