Best vape to replace dug out

Status
Not open for further replies.
I recently quit smoking cigarettes recently and now it time to start vaping my herb. Problem is, on always on the go and have a rather high tolerance. My dug out has been at my side for the past 3 years. Its always been my go to because its very conservative when it comes to consuming weed.

I need recommendations for the most suitable replacement for my dug out.
One that will b gentle on my stash most of all, be easy to use and load on the go, and hit good, because wispy hit unfortunately don't affect me very well. (Gotta cough to get off).

Ive been eyeballing the flowermate and firewood, part of the attraction is appearing like an ecig box vape.

Well, there's not many options to simulate that quick single hitter kinda feeling, most vapes have a slower heatup time (1-5 minutes).

However, here is a list of some vaporizers I suggest you check out, these vapes have fast heatup times and can handle small load sizes. These are in no particular order

Firefly Vape, Vapman, Vaporgenie, Lotus, MFLB, Grasshopper (we hope, still a brand new vape, in the process of being released currently). I'm sure there are other suggestions but that's a start.

Personally, I'm hoping the Grasshopper will mimic a single-hitter instant heatup kinda needs so I can take 1 massive rip at a time. But that vape as I mentioned is brand new and untested (I don't suggest any newbie buy a brand new vape - too many unknown variables, stick with tried and tested vapes first).

I was gunna add something, but I couldn't remember what it was. But now that I'm typing this, I will add the hammer to this list. Along with Lily.

I must 2nd @Kidfated 's statement. Before I started Vaping My Dugout was my everyday travel piece.
The Hammer has been the closest thing I have been able to find to my Dugout.
And remember the Hammer Vaporizer's #1 saying "...No more wispy hits!"
I came from a dugout also. I called him Dougie. He was my little ninja. Wrapped it in electrical tape. :ninja:

That hammer seems like the ticket except I don't really see anything descrete about it. Like, if I saw a dude, driving down the rd in a jeep with no doors, sucking on a hammer with a little straw with green herb in it, I'd b like hmmmm..... Just IF. But the fact it loads like a 1 hitter and will hit like a 1 hitter, multiple times might be it.

Is butane really the best choice? I'd almost rather plugging it in over having to maintain butane levels, and flip a switch for heat over hold a trigger

The firefly is pretty much outta my budget and the launch box has always been on the list, just the aesthetics of have never really turned me on.

I wanted to add the Elevape to the list, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first vape.

I've only used the Vapman and the MFLB of the other ones mentioned, but I don't think you can go wrong with either. If on-the-go ease of use is really what you're looking for, I'd recommend the mflb of those 2.

I can't really comment on the other vapes, but after using and owning butane and battery powered portables, I find butane is extremely easy, powerful, and convenient to use.

You know, I think it sounds like you're on a bit of a budget.

I think I'd skip on the whole "instant hit" requirement and get a basic electronic vape, see how things go. I suggest you look into the Flowermate vaporizers, pick your favorite from the few on the market and start experimenting. Once you know you like vaporizing and have additional funds, you can invest in a better vape.

Trust me, there's nothing wrong with having a collection of vapes! You'll find you like switching them up from time to time

Yeah, I'm kinda on a budget. More like I have a budget. And its not really that I "want to try" vaping, I feel I need to. I recently put down cigarettes for an ecig, so I started looking into making weed juice for my ecig. After a few secussful runs and 2 days of almost no combusting weed, I felt so much better. But thats proving to be way to expensive than do solely over burning down since there is really no concentrates available where I live so I figured it would be time to invest in a vaporizer or 3 or 4.

I made an attempt a year ago. I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a firewood until I found a used flashvape for a decent price. I was using it daily until I lost the glass straw. It was working adequate but never really felt like I was getting a big enough hit to make it worth while. I kinda need something that's almost idiot proof and hit good, hits like a hammer, lol, when I first make the switch away from fire. After i lost the tube, I figured I would come back to that some other time. Lol.

Speaking of Firewood,
What ever happened with the firewood? A year ago when I was researching the whole "first vape" thing, it was mentioned in all of the threads. Not do much this year.

If you're on a budget, get a butane powered vape. They are usually cheaper, and provide "clouds" You'll certainly cough and get off.

None of them are going to be as stealthy as a Pen (for Oil) or many other electronic vape's that don't' require as much user interaction. I wouldn't worry about people giving you strange looks puffing on the Hammer when you're driving.....but if you think you're going to be driving and vaping often, something electronic would probably be a better fit so you could just turn it on and sip it. Hammer is actually more discrete then many portable butane vapes as you can do it all with one hand, many others are going to require a lighter in the other hand.

But if you're turning it on and sipping it, it's being heated through conduction more likely then not. So, it's not going to be as conservative with your stash as an on demand vape.

Firefly is out of your price range, but it's probably the most discrete, ease of use, handheld, on demand electronic vape. I can palm mine and hit it (YMMW, I have big hands). It's not cooking when I'm not holding the trigger either. And yes, I can get clouds from it (I too chase them)

Vapman is a nice portable and pretty discrete, but it doesn't inherently just chuck clouds IMO, not that it needs too, but if you need the visual aspect of vapor you won't get it with it really. Though, it visually stunning vape aesthetically.

Lotus chucks the biggest clouds for me. I'm using it through bongs and bubbler's though. So not really discrete or that portable at all when you're using a 15 inch bong. They do sell a version that is essentially a pipe that I can't imagine would be too difficult to conceal.

Hope it helped!

Firewood looks like its only available in walnut right now. Not sure if its really worth 135 dollars for you. It is a phenomenal vape especially when paired with Underdog accessories.

I think I have narrowed it down to 3.

Flowermate
Hammer
Summit

Just got done reading the thread about the Summit. It's appealing to me because its "rugged" and I drive a jeep. Lol. But the thread had mostly good things to say and everyone set its real easy and almost fool proof. Anyone care to comment?

Anyone got opinions on which one? This will happen most likely today, but definitely this weekend.

Not sure how the Hammer is on that list. It's a whole lot better than those conduction vapes.

Probably more like, how did those other 2 make it on the list with the hammer?

Well, its the battery over butane and more so the appearance. Sucking on a hammer vs sucking on something that would easier to mistake for a common ecig unit. At a glance, rolling down the road. It does seem like the hammer is expected to hit the best and easiest to load on the go. Just the butane thing. I think I'm worried I'm gonna over cook shit

You'll get used to it quick. Unlike other butane vapes you'll have more time until you combust. In the end to prevent it just don't heat it while inhaling.

How does the hammer do with multiple sessions from one packing? From the sounds of the instructions online, since you heat the chamber bfore adding herb, is seems like once it's cooled down you can either quit and save the rest for later or reheat and go again. Will one heating cook a whole bowl or will a bowl ussually last multiple session? Also, how many loads with it handle before needing to refill the butane?

Have you seen any of my videos?

I would say 4-6 loads, I get at least 5 every fill. You can heat it and take a huge rip and leave it alone for an hour and comeback to 10+ more hits. Pretty much once you're done heating it starts cooling and within 10 seconds of no heat you'll NEED to reheat it bring it back to vaping temp. But that's like a 3 second heat up after its cooled for a while. Otherwise you'll have to do a full 20+ second heat up depending on your style.

Where could I find these, said videos?

I have placed one in the "shopping cart" on the Hammer's site. Haven't quite pulled the trigger. I searched through the forum supporting vendors, most of them had the Summit, and one had the flowermate. I'm thinking fuck it. Y not both. Justin case?

Well, the hammer is on the way. Got the flowermate in the shopping cart at Puffitup. Might have to wait till Friday tho, as last night I had a situation that required Jeep parts, and Jeep parts come first. Lol
