Best vape to hit hard and fast

So I'm a long time joint (with tobacco) smoker that's been trying to make the switch to vaping for a while. Started off with the Pinnacle Pro which was a nice design, but in practice unreliable, had poor battery life and poor taste. Got a Da Buddha which I love when I have the freedom to vape constantly all day, but don't get to use much now back living with parents. Got the Arizer Solo which I really liked, great taste, good built quality and battery, but it just never managed to replace smoking for me. Found it takes too long/too many bowls to get me where I wanted and the stem means I'm not comfortable using it out and about. Felt like portable vaporizer technology just wasn't really there yet for me. I use the Arizer more to vape lightly throughout the day, then smoke a joint at night, whereas I'm more looking for something I can hit a session quickly and be nice for a few hours. Out and about I'm still finding joints the quickest most practical way to get where I want. Arizer Go and Davcinci IQ might be changing that perception though.

Situation/Usage: Living at home with parents, I'm older and so are they, so I'm not getting policed, but I don't think they'd understand and I don't want to rock the boat. So smell and discretion is a consideration, but not sure how much I'd compromise performance for that. Typically either walk the dog and smoke, stand outside my house, vape in a closed room out the window, smoke at friends house or chilling on the block. Sometimes on campus at uni. Usually around 2-3, 0.5-1g joints in the evening. Don't mind going for a walk, but winters coming and its a bit of a hassle, trying to cut down on lingering smell too.

Looking mainly for something that will hit hard and fast without too much smell in use and on the unit, then put away for a bit. I know the vapour will smell. If it can be portable even better but I know I'm asking for a lot. Here's what I'm looking at

Dynavap M: ~£50, love how cheap and portable it is,but small bowls and not discrete, look like a fiend. Probably buy regardless what I get.

StickyBrick Jr: ~ £150, seems perfect performance wise, on demand convection, cheaper than mighty, but wouldn't use outside and torch maybe loud

Haze Square Pro: ~£150, functionality seems perfect, 4 big bowls don't need to keep reloading, discrete enough to use outside, fast charge, but read about some performance and reliability issues, poor batter. Don't want to repeat pinnacle pro.

Crafty/Mighty: £200/£250, solid performance joint replacement, portable. But very expensive, crafty almost as much as mighty with battery/reliability concerns, mighty bit big to be used on the go

Arizer Go: ~£180, trust Arizer performance and reliability, truly portable can use everywhere, swap-able batteries, but small bowls might take too long to get me where I want

Davinci IQ: ~£180, likewise, and easier reloading

Plenty: ~£170, because fuck it

I know this is kind of a bullshit question becuase I'm asking for everything, but really I just want to get pointed in the direction you think I'll be most satisfied, and what vape will be the best compromise. Should I go powerful and semi portable, or compromise and go truly portable. Are they good enough yet? Or will I just be disappointed and still reach for the papers when I'm on the go? Am I better off getting 2?

tl;dr:

Want fast and hard hitting semi portable vape that can replace joints when I'm at home

you can stop looking ... you will NEVER find a vape to deliver all the toxins you are currently getting from a j. The j's side effects to the THC high are just not there with a vape.

my suggestion ... take a tolerance break, clean the receptors in you system with some aerobics, then commit to using a vape for 30 days. [rant] also, give up all processed foods and never eat sugar [/rant] (well, since i'm preaching, might as well go all in, eh?)

The best, hard hitting vape that I have tried is the NewVape Flowerpot Showerhead, it is simply amazing. Pure flavour, and vapor produced by heated titanium. There is also the V-Rod head which has a SiC or Quartz dish for better flavour dabs. The Showerhead also can be used for dabs, and I dont notice much difference between dabbing from the titanium and the SiC, except when dabbing really special concentrates.

I also have a Arizer Extreme Q and paired with a @DDave adapter kit, it is also a beast of a vaporizer! When paired with the DDave kit it hits almost as hard as a Flowerpot, just not quite as heavy hitting.

The Arizer solo 2 I also own its a great portable, its a slower style vaporizer that isnt quite as heavy hitting but I still enjoy it quite a bit.

The only downside to the Flowerpot is that its not portable. It is quite low maintenance and doesnt really smell any more than any other vaporizer.

Shit, guess I better close my account. Haha, I know what you're saying and I know deep down nothing will ever really replace smoking. I do know the difference between a smoking and vaping high. The Da Buddha can hit me really nicely if I've got the time to sit back and smoke 2/3 bowls at once. You don't think there's any portables that can do that reliably and quickly?

The FlowerPot really does look amazing, it's something I'd love to try, but its just too expensive and very 'professional' looking for me right now. I need that's semi portable and no more conspicuous than something like a sticky brick jr. I love desktop vapes but the one I have just doesn't get enough use as it is .

The flowerpot is great at home but portable wise, If you're in a legal state just get an oil pen, otherwise buy a rosin press and a wax pen if you want a true on demand hard hitting portable. Nothing else will really compare to that.

As already mentioned no vape high will compensate for combustion byproducts though. You really do have to fuck combustion to get the full vape benefits. The reality is that a joint delivers the least THC of any consumption method.

i don't have much experience with other vapes - my gf has tried a few, and even though she has her own Bud Toaster always within reach, she still prefers the toxin high of a j ... which makes her cough. i give up ... for me it's Bud Toaster or nothing.

This one really isn't suited due to size but going toss out the switch anyways. Mostly because people that enjoy combustion and are making a switch to vaporizer seem to enjoy the results it produces. Closes to smoking experience I feel you can find.

Also surprised no one has mention a on demand type portable vaporizer. For the style of vaping mentioned this be a good route to go I feel.

Theres the Milaana, lil bud and Nomad that would fit the bill for unregulated. If have box mods or want something with regulated with temperature control. The iheat splinters/splinterZ and stempod all are fine choices.

I was going to recommend the Milaana 2, but don't have mine yet and don't want to speak for something I have not tried... but I will have it in a couple days! Respect! -YaMon

Wow, thanks for all the help and advice guys. Give me a lot to think about. I think the main conclusion I came to is that I'm just not going to be able to get everything in one vape and have it be portable. So I decided since I already have a decent desktop to try and cover my portable bases first and went with a Dynavap M and a Haze Square Pro. Hopefully the haze hits relatively hard and I really liked the idea of being able to load up that much. If that doesn't cut it for around the house then I'm just going to bite the bullet on something like the milaana or sticky brick. Will let you guys know how I get on and post up a review or something. Thanks!

You talk a lot about controlling odor and honesty the portable dry herb vapes are still gonna leave you a bit dank. Vaping outside is a good idea just as it would be with smoking. When I'm prioritizing stealth I go with a concentrate cartridge since the vapor isn't anywhere near the "somebody is smoking pot" smell of a dry herb vape.

For all your walking around or stepping outside options I'd recommend the Fury 2. Several pot smoking friends have switched to vaping after trying my Fury 2 and then getting their own.

My Fierce just got delivered today and I like it so far. That might be a harder hitting option since the bowl is bigger. It depends how annoyed you'd be by the Fury 2's small battery.

I love my Fury 2 though and prefer the really compact size when I need to pocket something for vaping out or even road trips.

Don't fuck with a Solo II or even an Air II. The glass stems make it a more fragile portable option.

I love my Lil Bud and would recommend one to anybody for great on demand convection, however there's more of a learning curve and you need to fuck with 18650 batteries. A Fury 2 or Fierce will be hard to beat for the money if you're primarily looking for a portable electric that rips.

The Fury 2 is so affordable it's this whole forum's top recommendation lately. Everyone should own one so they have a sense of how high they can get with a $130 vape. Get a little bubbler and a water pipe adapter too and you can get a vape bong hit when you're home or at your friend's. That's how I use my Fury 2 most often. It's everso slightly kinda like a poor man's flowerpot because I'm just capping the wpa with the Fury 2 heater for each hit. Works a treat though.

Update: I'm digging the Fierce so far. The built-in mouthpiece is nothing to write home about but the bent stem is easy and flavorful. The wpa is really satisfying and effective paired with my modest D020. The biggest, most comfortable max temp hits I've gotten from that bubbler.

I’d say the mighty out of what you have put up, especially if replacing points.

I really wish I could recommend the Grasshopper. It hits all of your marks. Quick, if kept clean doesn’t smell too bad and hard dense joint like hits.
Unfortunately reliability issues keep it from being a true contender. But I guess it’s something to keep on your radar. Maybe versions 5,6,7,etc. will be reliable and you can purchase it then.
Out of your listed choices I think a ”sticky brick” something might be a good choice.
Sorry I can’t be much more help.

Ya Gh also a good contender but in my experience too beta stage to recommend to anyone as a purchase unless they understand just how unreliable it might be. Mighty is a goer! If smoked joints not bongs I reckon a night would suit me to a tee

Ya mon?
Where is the best CANNABIS grown & why?

YaMon

@ataxian difficult to say as quality is subjective until there is more science around Cannabis. Frankly most cannabis is cured far more than need be for vaping. Indoor growing techniques have become so advanced the best for you maybe grown in your basement, at least that is wher I hope to end up.. Respect! -YaMon

Yeah I definitely agree, there will always be some smell I learnt that the hard way (pinnacle pro), but maybe I'm overstating (or underestimating) the importance of smell. I figure it's going to smell a bit in use, but if you vape out the window of a closed room, it isn't going to travel around the house like smoke would? And so far in my experience it doesn't really linger like smoke either.

Grasshopper looks cool but bit pricey/unreliable. I picked up a dynvap m and a haze square. If the haze square doesn't cut it I definitely see a Mighty in my future, apart from portability and price I think it ticks all my boxes. I think I accepted the fact that one vape can't really do all the things I want it to.

It’s not going to be the fastest heating or the hardest hitting (those are mostly desktops or heated with torches), but from what I’ve heard it’s a perfectly respectable option that should hit harder than most portables.

If you put it up against a powerful desktop like a FlowerPot, Herborizer, Sublimator, Evo, etc. for power or an on-demand convection portable like a Nomad, Milaana, Li’l Bud, etc. for speed though, it’s not going to keep up. Most torch heated options* like the VapCap, VapMan, Elev8r, any of the Sticky Bricks, etc. and some other battery powered options are also relatively or very fast. There are always compromises though, so if you did some research before buying then unless you have to have the hardest hitter or you have to have it heat up in seconds there’s no reason to feel bad about buying the Plenty.

If you didn’t do know a lot of what I just told you and you think it might not be the best option for you though, you may want to do some more reading before opening it so you can be confident you have the right option for your needs. If you decide to keep it, don’t feel bad. If you want something else to meet a different need in the future, you should have even more great options. :)

If you do take another look at things, I believe the Fierce is in a similar vein to the Plenty and a lot of people here have been loving it or its little sibling the Fury 2 so that’s another to check out.

*Some of the torch heated options are heated directly as you inhale (which personally I don’t like because I don’t want to breathe in whatever byproducts or unburned butane are coming off the torch), and some heat up in like 5-15 seconds but need reheating after a draw or two which may be better or worse than a longer heatup time and a longer seasion like you’d get with the Plenty and most other vaporizers.
