Salutations PaytonPenn,

Although this appears to be addressed to Crisallin i'd point out he specified "on the long run", as i recall...

Maybe i mispelled or something so i could be wrong.

:peace:
You're right, re-read the thread and the MFLB is a good choice, but I'd rather choose the genie.

I got the mflb as a first vape and while it was all i could want for a while, eventually I paired it with the Power Adapter and water filtration, it still can't produce the volume of vapor the lotus or the PnP can make. It is a great vape to get into vaping with but if you like potent hits and quick sessions IMO it doesn't satisfy for very long.

Have you considered the indica vaporizer? Its new so reliability is still unknown but so far it looks good and sounds like it matches your criteria

Hi again PaytonPenn,

...MFLB is a good choice, but I'd rather choose the genie.

MLFB or VG, hummm... Both batteries and butane cans can be expected to remain available for a long while, no need to worry about it. The VG suits my needs but those who can tolerate dry cannabic vapor may prefer the other option i guess, though it seems to me that VaporGenie also offer a radiative-heat based MLFB clone, the Volta, without most of the conductive-heat component if i understood this correctly.

Hell yeah man.

Indica looks amazing however I don't want to jump into it just because it looks good, for now I'm mostly inclining towards MFLB also considering the Solo but stealth is super important in my case. But I do need something that would give me a heavy buzz throughout the day, is MFLB not a good choice for that? I'm generally not satisfied smoking just one joint I end up smoking at least 2 to get where I need to be, but again I'm using dirt weed so the results might be different if I'm vaporizing.

Also I do have access to some dry hash, it doesn't melt or anything it's the infamous hand rubbed charas from India, similar to Moroccan hash. I'm sure I can't use that in the MFLB but I think it would work fine in the Solo.

Hello FC, I'm new to the forum however I have browsed around looking for the best portable vape but it seems the more I read about it the more confused I am about which one to choose. I'm currently in between Pinnacle pro, Pax and the MFLB and possibly the Ascent if it weren't for the offgassing issue I've read about.

Anyway, I'm inclined towards the Pnp for now I just wanted to know does it smell like the Pax presumably does? Thing is I live with my folks so I can't risk having a device lying around that reeks of pot.

Also I'm in India so I don't want to buy a certain vape and run into issues which I probably can't even get replaced within warranty because of my location. I know Pax requires frequent cleaning which I could manage if it were more durable compared to the Pnp in the long run. So far I've only heard good things about MFLB's long term use, but I really don't want to carry around a bunch of batteries in my pocket.

So, which would be the better choice for me considering that I probably can't take advantage of the warranty on any of the device I'm left with choosing the one known to be the most durable for heavy every day use.

Also I'm assuming the chargers are of 110v to 220v.

Cheers.

Haha I'm in Delhi too I didn't expect anyone here to own a vape. None of my stoner friends knew about it until I told them. I'm in South Delhi in prahladpur. I'm pretty much going with the Solo after watching a few reviews.

Also how well does it work with the local weed we get?

Salutations Crisallin,

None of my stoner friends knew about it until I told them.

Please tell your friends, on my behalf, that they should enjoy their luck very much!! At least they should, 30-some years ago i wish i had got that very same luck, actually: being told about vaporism by caring friends.

Really, if in addition we consider the context then my guess is we can safely state those friends of yours are being done a potentially lasting favour. Just don't abuse.

I haven't tried it yet, but have been reading a bunch of good things about the vapormax flowermate. Seems to be exactly what you're looking for!

I just ordered an Indica, I really think it's the best combination of things you're looking for. Much more portable than the Solo: fits in the pocket better because it's smaller, less fragile (no stems to break, Indica is made of metal), and battery lasts at least as long as the Solo according to most reviews. It's cheaper than both the Solo and the Pax and requires way less cleaning and upkeep. Plus it seems like the manufacturer of Indica is a solid guy, he made a lot of fixes to it based on suggestions from the FC thread. Overall it seems like a really quality product and I'm excited to stop smoking and start vaping.

For now I'm leaning towards Solo because of the quality of the product, I guess a little compromise on the stealth aspect is fine considering the reputation of the solo.

@crisallin - I'd rather vape than smoke all day long, but I have not had great results with crappy weed. If you only have access to bricks, then just know that vaping will get a ton better when you get some good herb. Better herb has more actives on the surface which makes for better vapor. I've bought what was described to me as mids (mid range quality) before that did nothing for me when vaped, so I just smoked it and it wasn't that good that way either. With good weed in a good vape I would anticipate usage compared to joints to be nearly 25% to 50% of normal. With average weed expect less spectacular results.

I don't want to scare you off vaping, but rather I am trying to help you manage your expectations. Get a vape and then do yourself a favor and try to get some good shit to use in it!

The dirt weed isn't all that bad if it does what a joint does it's good enough and I'm not a huge fan of the couch lock high either it's something I would prefer at times but not most of the time.

The other reasons for switching to vaping is because I run out of breath climbing a flight of stairs and I hate that. So a healthier alternative is better. Fortunately I will be able to try out the solo before I order one.

I like the Solo. As long as Arizer can get the battery issues under control, hopefully they already have. It's not as stealth as some, but with a wooden stem you are good to go. Also it has a car charger that helps when you are on the road.

The Solo has a 2 year warranty on the unit itself and a 1 year warranty on the battery. The battery is easily replaced by the owner. Not like some throwaway vaporizers where they don't have a fix for a warn out battery. You pay over $200 and you are out because after a year the battery is no good anymore and there is no replacement.

There are many portables out there. But not all have the flavor of the Solo. Try looking through the Ascent threat also. It has good flavor too.

If you can find one I couldn't recommend the T1 enough. It's one of the most rugged, reliable, and cleanable vapes out there. They can be dropped in water, fire, or even thrown down the street and still work like the day you bought it. There is a site called vapor envy that will sell brand new units for around 100 bucks and it's "pen" style so it easily fits on your pocket. Last but not least it's one of the only vapes you can boil and clean 100% resin free

What vape has a lithium battery that gives out after a year? That would be some real heavy duty vaping- somebody must be handing it off for 2nd shift use.

I should have made myself clear. I mean a battery that can be replaced by the owner. I have a unit that would need to be sent back to the company for a battery change. I have a vaporizer that doesn't have a battery that can be easily replaced. My batteries are down to less than 25 min.

For that matter they aren't standing behind some cracking plastic on the upper body of the units. They are charging the owners $60+ to fix units that are less than 6 months old. They say the units aren't covered under warranty. It's up to the company to decide what they will cover under warranty. They decided their plastic wasn't defective.

IMO pnp is an absolute joke and should be left out of this thread completely. That is the LAST option you want man, especially because your worried about smell.

I can take the pax in a full theater and rip it with the my smoke buddy and havent had one problem. I fired up the PNP on level 2 in a full theater and before I even took a rip multiple people started sniffing and looking around while asking what the smell was and making comments about weed.

To me the PNP stunk just about as bad a burning joint, but maybe it was just my unit/material?

Overall the PNP is a plastic piece of junk that is barely supported by the manufacturer. Not to mention who wants a vape that melts plastic IN the vapor path? This is all my own experience/opinion but my recommendation is stay the hell away from the PNP.

I could only get Brickweed for the first few years after switching to vaporizing.
And I mean low grade to very mid grade mids and found vaporizing raised the effects and taste to a much higher level. Yes it may have taken two bowls in the Vaporgenie to get where I wanted to be. At the time spending $400 or more an oz was out of the question and $60- $80 was pushing it.

I still try to pick up a little low grade brickweed because for me none of the top shelf buds come close to it for pain relief, maybe nature/god knows something we don't.
