Best Option for MicroDosing Vape

Hey everyone!

Have been using a pen battery w/ 510 oil cartidges (from actual reputable manufacturer, not underground stuff) for about the past 6 months. I only micro dose to deal with ADD, chronic pain, and to help with sleeping. I'm talking 1-2 puffs maybe a couple times a day, but varies from day to day. I'm not a session user.

However, I am not sure the health implications of the oil cartidges, and looking to switch to a dry herb vape.

I have my options narrowed down to a DynaVap 2021M w/ induction heater, or possibly the Crafty+ w/ the dosing caps. Both are about the same price after a 15% discount on the Crafty+.

Based on what I'm saying, which would be the preferred product or are there any other products I should consider?

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

I’ve yet to find a better true microdose solution than 510 cartridges. I’ve been using 510 carts to micro since 2012. For me oil cartridges give me the most control. I can press the button for one second and then call it quits if I want.

Tafee Bowle is a fairly close approximation of an oil cartridge in a flower device, but IMO it’s missing a few things to truly compete. Being able to deliver flavor with every draw makes oil carts very unique, the only thing that can really do that is a Volcano.

A log vape would be a good suggestion if you are interested in a plugin. IMO they key to microdosing is mostly just having a small bowl. Dyna is very popular for this usage style of course.

I have Omni 2021 with new IH and its perfect for micro. The tip can be set to load only half way and the IH works very good. I also have crafty+ and I use it only when I want less smell and more stealth, otherwise I consider the dynavap more effective than crafty and better tasting.

Yeah if you need for home use, plug in is okay, absolutely get a log! The cheapest option would be the heat island, email Alan@Toasty-Top.com to see what he has in stock to make / sell now, he has a longer wait list for exotic woods, but he has a lot of standard woods and a bamboo options ready to sell now! Wide variety of stems too, for microdosing the best is the small steel bowl tip that goes inside the steel standard core, it can be a WPA or a long stem, and there are many more options!

Underdog is also great people, they have that same steel tip bowl option along with the glass stems, the regular size and the monster alpha dog... Enano is a pretty basic option that many seem to love, though you will see quite a few that don't... Woodscents is big fancy wood, vap cap integration, so that could be a cool option if you can afford it, and want to try VapCap as well (though it would probably be best to get an induction heater with that...)

I'd also recommend a log vape if you're fine with being tethered to a wall. For a portable, I'd say something on-demand would be what you want, as opposed to the longer sessions of a Crafty.

The Dyna w/ induction heater would be a good on demand option, or something like the Firewood 7, Tetra P80, Tinymight, etc.

A vapcap with a battery-powered IH is a pretty compelling choice for speed and convenience, esp. now that all the tips have adjustable bowls (tho loading less works just fine).

Flavor’s solid as long as you cash each bowl, which should be easy enough if you’re microdosing.

My favorite 3 small dose (.03 g to .05 g) vapes are my E-Nano, LSV and Magic Flight Launch Box. The MFLB as an on demand conduction vape is real efficient when doing small loads, but one has to be careful or its smoke time. The LSV is good if the user is willing to fiddle with load placement and prefers convection to conduction. The E-Nano is my preferred small dose vape, easiest to use and because it runs 24/7 it's always ready to go.

I've been using my tinymight for microdosing. It's on demand and allows you to out quite a small amount in the stem (just covering the CU)

Ditanium works great for microdosing with my smaller chamber. Looks like .02 or .03 g?
Before I added the screen/spacer it was probably closer to .05 g.

Hey @gearhead_96 , did you notice that nobody is recommending the Crafty for microdosing? For me it’s a solid session vape but that’s not my preferred use anymore. So I’ve moved on.

I use carts out of convenience. I find the flavor of flower, almost any flower, superior to carts. But sometimes I just don’t feel like dealing with the flower ritual. Immediate gratThat’s just me....

Rather than refer to the comparison as microdosing, I think of it more in terms of one-and-done. True convection vapes provide that option so that you can fill a load and use what you want when you want until the load is done. If that interests you, it expands your choices and saves you from needing to empty and reload after each use.

Have fun shopping!

vapman, the concentrate sieve & microdosing.
vapman was developed specifically for microdosing. Due to its sophisticated heating chamber design, it achieves incredible efficiency, enabling it to effectively vaporize doses of up to 0.001 grams. The optionally available concentrate sieve is recommended for this purpose. It allows for more even vaporization with small doses, resulting in better taste and control.

I agree. I want to add that with the station for heating it's absolutely perfect for microdosing. I find it a margin better in consistency than with a jet lighter, though even jet lighter only is really really good - it just requires a bit more technique.
That said, if you want to microdose quick and dirty but still reliably efficient you can use a Dynavap. The Vapman-Station Combo is someting that takes more time, but the process is calming and easy to do. The slower extraction with the Vapman gives a more full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes and because it is no cloud chasing device, it is highly efficient and surprisingly heavy hitting.
It's the David of all vaporizers and instead of a cloud machine more like a flavor machine. Love it to bits but my life is hectic and less time for it. But I will return to it for sure!

I am using this gorgeous powerhouse of heating joy with a Dynavap 2020 M:

It's so easy to use and you can either go for consistent heating cycles, with an initial ramp, by respecting the click, just count for pre-click low temp high flavour extraction or - if you are careful because this thing really does pump that juice - go 'beyond the click' for a second to get huge hits!

Build quality is great, it's tactile, simple, ergonomically satisfying and I want for nothing - no VAS here

The price point is quite frankly unbelievable :o

I am not associated with VapOven in anyway just a very happy customer

edit: the image shown there does not show the embedded magnet - it sits between the chamber and the button and is very convenient!
