Best desktops for flavor chasers

I love my ball vapes. And I adore my halogen desktops. But I'll tell you that some of my most satisfying sessions have been with a nice log vape. Flavor that keeps on going and just a nice cozy experience.

I would never keep to one vape only for life, but a good log is a nice way to pass the time.

Yeah it's not that hard to get good flavor generally, just choose accordingly, with pure materials and plenty of power, otherwise it's just personal preference really (there are so many great artisan-driven options that I think are the best for this in particular generally)

I don’t know if being artisan vapes make a difference but you have a few so which one do you prefer for a nice flavor experience?

ZX is great for flavour, as I dont think it gets more pure than Zirconia, and pure convection.
I imagine the coiled Quartz cap vapes are tasty also, but I don't own one.
I've never had a log vape, but they look like desktop TM2's to me, and TM2 is incredible for flavour.

Electrically powered my favourite is also the phase3 heads. I think the zxl might be slightly more tasty than the smaller heads but it's a very tight comparison. I mostly use the z8 and zx saving the zxl for a treat or if I need a bigger hit for another reason.

Butane powered would be the gvb 18mm killer closely followed by the elev8r. I have a tasty tube witch is similar to the terpsicle these would be excellent bedfellows offering different experiences with the same power source.

Yes my tm2 is my go to

Yeah, I think it does, TM is the most mass produced artisan style I have, and I really appreciate it for everything including flavor... I would say it's comparable to my others like from Lamart and Firewood and more...

For desktops, yes a log would make sense, I have heat islands and GTR from Alan at toasty top, customs take a while on the waitlist, but you can email to see what he has in stock, a full setup from him is cheaper than anywhere else, and his build and materials are extremely pure so flavor is typically spectacular, I have not tried every log, but I have no desire to now.

Otherwise I have cloud connoisseur Atlas and Halo which are no longer currently available but hopefully will be again someday, so I would recommend the comparable options from cloud connoisseur that use the PID system like zeal omega epitome although I have not tried any of them yet because I do not have any enail stuff, but I will have them eventually

I also have the Tm2 but wanting to see if I can get more favorable hits from a desktop…a nod for my Dani fusion also has great Terry hits

Yeah that's why I'm saying as a reference point, most of my favorites are on par with it, but I rely on the portables more... I also have thermal accumulator that is a good option and that good vibes killer, but that is no longer available... Using a torch or induction heater etc is not as ideal as having a plug-in imo (the new 4MD design seems really promising but hard to recommend that)

I had not realized he stopped making them! To bad, it's great!

I suppose the new quartz lotus is an option as a replacement but it is much more expensive.
heat islands and GTR
Yes. These are probably my top two picks after the CouchLog.
cloud connoisseur Atlas and Halo
Yes and yes! The Musa 2.0 is a pretty good approximation of the Halo, although unique in its own right.

I chatted with him a couple of months back and he was trying to find someone to make them for him. I guess that's not been successful 😞 I'll be babying my one for as long as it lasts.

Quartz needs hydrogen rather than propane to get a hot enough flame and a lot of flame workers don't do that for fear of the longevity of their torch is my understanding. I'm not sure what quartz workers use generally...

Just putting in my :2c: for logs (mine is an E-Nano OG) and the Phase3 (mine is a ZX/ZB). But I must admit my most memorable “peak experience” hits have been on my (non-desktop) old school Lotus (longer black stem, saucer cap).

Like @Grass Yes , I really like long, slow sessions with a log, for me preferably with multiple stems of different strains.

➡️ Are there any other (presumably stem-loading) vapes that support multi-stem /
multi-strain compare-and-contrast sessions as well as logs? ;pd;

[ Still in Michigan and missing my Oregon weed! 😢 But Sweet and Sour Jack has been my friend. 🥰 ]

But the king for me for flavor is still the Herborizer. Dunno what it is, but yet to be topped.
100% agreed.

I had some incredible hits (tasty and smooth) with the EMK but not easily reproducible with a torch.

I'm not sure GVB made the EMK in house. It requires different tools overall, not just a different fuel.
I asked the Ehle team about a custom quartz project and they told me that they have to rent a quartz workshop one week every year to make their own quartz items.

I mean... Even Thomas Ehle don't have the tools to work quartz in house...

I’m looking at the E-nano but wondering if I can find a cheaper Log?
