So I have been doing some reading on batteries today. First I read that Panasonic and Tesla are switching to the 21-70 format photo. 21-70 or 21700 is 3 mm longer and has a 5mm larger diameter than the 18650 so they will probably end up being the best value for size/capacity soon. Supposedly those two companies alone will produce more 21-70 batteries than the rest of the worlds manufacturers combined produce 18650's. It looks like most people are speculating the 21-70 will have between 4500-5000 mAh, and one rumor claimed up to 5750 mAh.
Next I read that Fisker is unveiling a new electric car in 2017, and they claim they have a new battery technology that is far ahead of any of their competitors, they said their car will have over 400miles per charge, compared to 300 from Tesla. Fisker claims the new battery technology uses graphene to reduce charging time and extend both its range and operating life.
So when do you guys think we will see the first 21-70 or graphene battery vape? Larger units like the Mighty seem like they could potentially fit (2) 21-70's without changing the size of the unit much. Can you imagine a unit with (2) 5000 MaH batteries? We could start seeing some crazy battery life portables soon.
