Battery Charger

I would like to get a 2 battery (18650) charger for travel. Preferably a good one as I don't like to take chances with batteries. Any suggestions?

I don't know that brand, so I can't say that.

XTAR is a reputable brand that has been around for a while, so I can recommend them.

I can recommend Xtar as well, i have a 4 bay for home and picked up a two bay for travel.

I checked IMR, and they don't carry the xtra's i have, mine are a couple years old so makes sense they have updated them.

I had to replace my prevous xtar 4 bay only because when i traveled, liquid got on it and one bay would act weird and i didn't want to take risks.

Seem like great chargers, variety of prices depending on what you want. I will say charges with screens that show what the current voltage is when you put the batter in and how it moves along are nice, more just to see how much of the battery you used if checking on things.

Use a nitecore daily for years. Solid charger.

I bought a 4 bay a year or so ago to upgrade the 2 bay. Old one still works and is probably over 5 years old. Used it daily with heavy use it would do 10-15 charge cycles a day

Yep, I'm with you...there seem to be slight differences, but to me they are not significant and my view is you can go with either and they will display interchangeable levels of quality and performance.

As an old flashlight hound, I will add kudos to the reputation of XTAR. One of the few chargers I trust when not at home. They don't offer half-baked solutions.

The Littokala Lii-202 is also an option. it's cheap (i got it in like 8$ i think, from website GearBest-and if you buy there.. make sure you pay with PayPal, not a CC!) and works well for li ion, i have used many times, it charges the LG HG2 well, for 1 year already. before that, I used it for AAA batteries. but don't use it as an external charger, here's a review (check out the Conclusion too)
