Balls in a butane device intake?

Has this been done before?
It seems that having some thermal mass you could preheat the intake glass and get a more even extraction.
Playing around with a new toy and the thought crossed my mind.

Check out the Lamart Flam, I'm not sure it would help enough in that narrow intake

The flam seems intended to be used more like a vapor Genie, with the balls acting as a filter rather than retaining heat on heatup and heating the air. Granted I've not used one, so maybe it can be used differently also.

Invertedisdead's sandcastle idea is closer to what you're describing, since the balls are what heats the air.

Yeah I have seen better DIY, the flam is supposed to be hybrid in that regard but no longer being made as it was anyway

With my Runt (and metal restrictor in) it seems if I preheat the glass ( flame going in intake a bit before inhaling) its a way better first hit. Some sort of glass ball matrix inside the intake seems like it would do more of that.
Only if the TA heater portion attached directly to the intake tube.....
