Forgot I had the chaos LMAO.
There you go! lol!
What do you like about thr zxxl and thr tko?
The ZXXL is still in production but should arrive soonish, but the ZXL, which is essentially the wired version, is exceptional in terms of flavor and power. It's one of the best vapes for flavor I have, I think, and it runs at very low temps. I've got mine running about 520 right now and it's powering through loads like nothing, fully roasting ~.1 loads in one hit and leaving fairly dark duff in its wake. I usually use it at like 480 or so and same deal but better flavor and a tobacco colored roast.

The TKO I have set up with the Titanium discs and that's another surprisingly flavorful vape, also at lower temps (around 520 I think). It's designed for bigger loads but it can do a screen covering nicely.

@Grass Yes is right, I don't know how I forgot the Epitome! I have recently set mine up and have only used it a handful of times but that is really nice as well. It's got pretty good airflow despite the depth of the ball chamber. I'll have to give it a bit more of a workout but I have only positive impressions so far.

Hey FC!

Now that I’ve made it through this 55 page mega thread, I think I’m getting close to jumping on the ball vape wagon! I’ve been using my vapexhale evo through a bong for many years now as my primary desktop setup. While she has been good to me, it’s time to upgrade to something better and without dang baskets to always clean!

I think I’m leaning towards the ZX, although still trying to figure out how long it would take to get one once you pre-order! So I’d love for any final opinions to sway me. Here is my order of importance:

1. Big strong rips- like to have the option to be blasted from a single bowl when I want (evo struggles with this)
2. Flavour!
3. Ease of cleaning
4. Wife will be able to operate it/wont burn her self

For big, strong rips one can't discount volume. I use a Cloud Connoisseur, Omega configured as a diffuser in that role.

For flavor, the ZX is hard to beat. The base design, selection of the zircon material and precision manufacturing all come together to provide ample opportunities for tasty hits.

Ease of cleaning: The Omega's stainless steel body and multiple parts are a tiny bit more involved. The ZX is a simpler ISO and Q Tip job, real easy.

Safety is very much about the operator as it is the vape. My burns always occurred in the first few days or weeks of use. The ZX may have a slight safety edge, being less cumbersome, but it's a small edge.

Thanks for your input! Is the primary difference between these two omega kits the bowl? One glass and the other is the omega bowl? Do you have a preference over these? Would you know if the PID is the same? The second one is different in the pic and looks like it has a on/off switch to use with a smart plug which would be a plus for me!

The top one is a picture of the older CC PID controller. I believe that all kits have the one with the XLR connection on the back. I don't have a CC PID controller so I can't say if it can be turned on with a smart plug.

The difference between those kits is the bowl. The Vulcan bowl can also be used heated (by a second coil and controller).

I'd personally skip the wired kits and go for one of the wireless ones. I've run the Omega wireless since launch and it is still my favorite ball vape.

Thanks for the input! I was a little concerned that wireless setups would not stay hot long enough or be a pain to always remember to re heat in between bowls. You haven’t had any issues in that regard? With the glass bowl that comes with the kit, can it be used with both the diffuser and injector heads?

I assume if I go wireless, it makes sense to go with this kit?

I find that the heat is perfect for about 1.5 bowls. But I just stick the Omega back in the coil while I load the next one and that is plenty of time to reheat. It's never been and issue for me.

The coiled kits above are the lite kits so they only come with the diffuser module. But also I don't think any bowl sold by CC works with all three modules. Some of them work with both the 14mm injectors and the 22mm diffuser.

That's the kit I would pick. Although the cheaper kit with the axial will absolutely work just as well. The Armor coil is just a nice little QoL upgrade. The nice thing about the armored kit is that it comes with a nicer bowl and all three modules.

You get used to setting it back into the coil pretty quickly--there's nowhere else to put it. That's a fine set there, imho.

Thanks again for all this great info! I figured if I go wireless I might as well spend the extra 40 and get all the modules. Curiosity would get me at some point!

What are folks favorite injector bowl if I want to have everything I need to try both module styles from day 1 if I go this route?

I honestly like the JoDa CouchLog WPA as my favorite injector bowl. It's for the 14mm module, which is my preference generally for injectors.

For the 18mm module, I think most bowls are fine, but I actually really like using it like a diffuser over a Tinymight stem. It makes for a unique experience.

Tinymight is the next portable on my radar, you may have just accelerated that decision 🤣. I mainly use a combo of the mighty/crafty depending on the situation for travel these days. I don’t find they hit as hard as my hopper did (the whole 8 times it worked) and have wanted to find an alternative for a while now. But this is the ball vape thread, so I will get back on track!!

What do folks expect in terms of 420 sales on the omega and/or ZX, if any at all? I don’t really want to wait but if sales have been decent in the past…. Feels kind of silly to jump this close to that period, but vas and all🫣

I suppose anything can happen but I don't think either of these have had 4/20 or Black Friday sales ever.

I'd reach out to them but I think their margins are so tight they can't really run sales. Otoh, the Omega kit has a ton of bang for the buck and the ZX is worth its price no question.

Thanks again to both of you. Great info and the push I needed not to wait!! I’m going to reach out to the omega folks with a couple questions and then it is decision time!

Here's a steal: O'Connell's got a half-dozen SKO kits (body, balls, coil, bowl, stand, and funnel) for $80 each.

I have an SKO and I can recommend it highly. Really a great 14mm injector vape and an amazing bargain.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm pretty new to vaping, so I was very skeptical of making a larger investment. This is my very first ball vape and it just came in today. WOW have I been missing out. You guys were not kidding!
