EXCELSIOR!
I think they did beat AVS by a few days. Unfortunately for HVT r/waxpen, their biggest supporters, seems to have moved on to the Molecule.
I still think the Sai is a solid option for people who don't want to deal with installing raw coils though. But $13 or so gets you 4 Mole quartz buckets.
Yes I really never understood this effort to use everything but coils that are easily & accurately TC-able . Donuts are fragile and definitely the weak link & expensive.
But in my tinkering, I use what resources I have, so I see how these small tiny companies
get stuck in their thinking & resources (cash poor)
Yeah that's why the Molecule is exciting. The new ceramic plate is an improvement over the donuts of old. But I can't see them outperforming the raw power of flattened stainless steel coils.
So right on man, colis TC'ed heating your insert just make sense ,
but vaping on them not for me, trying to move past that.
I've been using the Plate heater from Max Eagle with a deeper Quartz insert
it has a Tungsten wire in it. (had to do surgery on collar to remove to fit)
I can use the Sai Taf but I like the clear glass stem I use to see the vapor.
On the exposed coil front, I still haven't done an ISO wash on my Mole coils. Just doing a little q-tipping here and there. Still getting tasty, potent hits. Very little reclaim.
Hoping that AVS gets out my "Mole" & Quartz cups so I can compare the actual
quality of the Vapor on both. (all that really matters ) Bought the set weeks ago
but have no interest in just "Mole" without quartz cups. (it also had some breakage
shakeout issues so waiting for a better one & getting some extras seemed smart)
So let me know how the coil side of things go, & together we will cover the whole thing
