Auction to benefit our excellent mods - their Christmas present

OK FC membership, lets repay our moderators for the excellent job they provide us. Without them, there would be no www.fuckcombustion.com...

So I will provide the following pictured set of items up for a single auction. The winning bidder pays direct to VTAC. The proceeds then will be split between the moderators as their Christmas present for their work.

Also, I will match the first $75.00 to make sure they have enough to go out to dinner on us. Moreover, I provide shipping to the buyer free. My own play it forward to them.

Rules for the auction.
  1. All bids are in USD ($)
  2. The minimum bid is $25.00
  3. The minimun increment is $5.00.
  4. There is a minimum 30 minute snipe rule. If someone bids within the last 30 minutes of the auction, the auction close time extends up to 30 minutes. What this means the last 30 minutes must be bid free, so the auction will continue until 30 minutes passes without a bid.
  5. Any member can bid and as many times as you wish as long as the other rules are followed. However, I will only pay shipping to the lower 48 states. If you live outside that, I will ask for the additional amount to your destination. I will pay the first $25.00 which is my estimate of shipping in the lower 48.
  6. Winner must pay within 72 hours of auction close.
  7. The lot of items will be shipped after the item is paid as confirmed by VTAC to me. Buyer provides me their address via PM
Please be respectful and do not bid unless you can really pay and the winner must pay within 72 hours. The payment is worked out through PM’s between the winner and VTAC.

The auction starts midnight PST on December 4th and closes at midnight PST on December 23rd.

Just when you thought PhotoRider couldn't be any more generous. :bowdown:

When this site was created six years ago I couldn't have imagined that it would blossom into the thriving community that it has. To me that growth is in large part a result of the thoughtful cultivation by our caring moderators. Their selfless dedication and invaluable wisdom has in turn made this a place that thoughtful people want to be a part of.

We've had many contests and giveaways to benefit our members and I think something like this is long overdue. Thank you so much @PhotoRider for helping make it possible. You're the Santa Claus that fc deserves and a hell of a photographer. :tup:

It's an honor for me to start the bidding at $26. :)

Yeah, that didn't seem right to me either. Can someone clarify when the bidding actually ends?

I hate bidding on ebay. My results here will probably be similar. :lol:

I wish I could afford to do this, but I can't. What I can do though is wish all the mods here a VERY Merry Christmas. It's a thankless job and they deserve the thanks.

Wow! I've seen the auctions, which are generous to begin with, but this is a really cool gesture.

I have no need for the glassware, but I really like the idea of the mod-dinner you are funding. Maybe I could throw a few bucks at that to say thanks for all of the hard work and for being so helpful in the past year I've been actively participating here at FC.

[EDIT: I know some of the mod are geographically disparate. I hope y'all can get together for one joint rockin' dinner. ;) Cheers!]

Hmmm... no "S"s on them, but not all skittles seem to have the imprint. (I was trying to guess the candy from the other contest)

Skittles Darkside or Skittles Wild Berry?
