Oh the coils ability to heat the nail is not what i find issue with. It the entire thermodynamic form and function as a nail with out regard to material or how well a enail coil heat it.... the flaw is in the vaporization suface being a ring with the air path going down through in the middle of the the heated surface...this by defult is a reclaim making machine....i want the concentrate to be deposited in my brain not my glass

Will the Auber's flat coils work with the D-Nail slim series and SiC dish?

Should I go with Auber or High5 for my controller and heater coils?

Yeah auber coils work with the d-nail halo/slim series.

They're both great units. I guess it comes down to the options that you want. The high5 would be the cheapest and gets up in temp quickest out of the units I own but the Auber gets to temp quickly too with a little tuning. The Auber's knob temperature adjustments are way nicer than the high5s button temperature adjustments and the auto shut-off timer on the rdk 300 is nice too.

I believe the rdk 300 is still on sale until December.

Thanks to all for sharing info and their experiences.

I have decided to go with the Auber 200 with a auber 20 mm coil, and a hive 20mm ceramic nail.
Is there any reason I should not go with this combo. I was considering getting a flat coil and a sic nail but it would be more than I'm willing to pay. However I'm open to reconsidering the sic nail, what do u guys think?

I think most people on here, myself included, would say go with the sic. Personally before sic ceramic was my go to for flavor, but I found my ceramic nails very rarely lasted more than 6 months (others have had theirs over a year and a half but I personally never had that good of luck). Sic matches the flavor profile of traditional ceramic if not surpassing it, while also being wayyyy more durable than ceramic or Quartz. I have a d-nail halo and I love it! Everyone with a liger v2 seems to love those as well, IMHO those are the best on the market right now and they'll last forever (with proper care)
Edit:I only went with dnail because I've never been disappointed by any of their products, I've never used a liger but it looks like a beast as well. Either way if you go with a hybrid nail you'll always have the option of sic/Quartz, and if you break the insert or halo you only have to replace it not the whole nail.

Thanks. I ended up with 20mm coil and the ceramic from hive. Will let u all know how I like it.

Hey everyone! Just received my unit and went with the Infiniti style and flat coil. Not happy in comparison to my Omani style so I'm looking for a replacement coil and nail.

Does anyone have the xlr pinout for the rdk-200? I would appreciate it big time

Thanks guys

I ordered my RDK-200 from Auber on Feb 15 and by Feb 19 I was back in action. (Dropped my enail controller box Sunday Feb 14.) I was surprised of how much a pain in the ass the torch was compared to using a enail. I actually ordered 2 different control boxes, I read everyone's reviews and picked the Auber and another brand. I figured I'll never go without a enail set-up again. I'm very impressed with the Auber RDK-200 and for $81 (just box) it keeps a steady reading and has a nice feature of letting me know what the cool-down temp is. Burnt my fingers enough times...Easy to use and works like a champ

Can you fine RDK-200 owners show of some pics of your 'dab station'? I am on the fence between this and the other economical PID controllers, and am curious how this setup works logistically. Does the auber sit flat or hang vertical in most of your setups?
TIA

I received my auber with the 20 mm coil and a hive ceramic 20 mm nail with the dabber. First impression of the nail is simply that it looks and feels quite nice without any unnecessary layer of glaze. The auber unit is nice and small and I can't wait to really try it out properly. The coil however iis just a bit too large for the nail, it does not make full contact with nail. I gave a try with the slightly loose fitting coil, and can not get a proper hit with auber set at 800. It's heating the nail unevenly.
I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can try to tighten the coil. Is there any reason I shouldn't tighten the coil, and any suggestions? Thanks

You're probably good to go ahead and tighten the coil, but just be careful not to tighten too much as you could risk cracking your nail (ceramic should be pretty durable though).

Also I assume you are using a carb cap, but if not then that's part of your problem.

I am curious why you didn't go the flat coil route with the ceramic nail? Seems like that would heat the dish more evenly

I just got one of these with the flat coil and universal nail. Been using propane for last few months... and HOLY FUCK...

Just get one.

I feel like I might have wasted some money on this nail though, I believe I have a 18-female, anyone have any recommendations for a better nail that goes with this flat coil?

WARNING: CAUSES ONE TO GO THROUGH A LOT OF CONCENTRATE! :)

EDIT: I got this in 2 days with their regular shipping method. STUPID FAST.

Thanks weenstoned, definitely got the carb cap. Tightened the coil earlier today and tried it out. Well folks, I'm happy to report the auber with 20 mm coil is looking to be a great buy. I would suggest looking into getting the coil off Amazon, it's nearly half the price. Could not be any happier with the hive nail. I really like having the option of replaceable dish. The nail is ridiculously expensive. Even the replacement dish alone is 30 bucks. Having said that I feel complaining about the price is probably a bit unfair considering price points on other quality nails. I do have a strong feeling this nail will last.
I have not had to clean it yet, but will let u all know if it turns out to be a pain.
Im a bit embarrassed to admit I already managed to knock the carb cap/dabber off a 3 foot table. The sound it made hitting the hardwood floor made my heart sink. But lo and behold, there it was fully a single piece without any cracks. So far I'm very happy with this combo.
Thank you to everyone who contributed in this thread.

I wanted the hive nail and I don't think they offer any enail options with flat head coil. Only ones I saw were for the barrel coil in 18 and 20mm.
The impression I have is that the coil you get depends on the nail or vice versa. Im sure in the future if I see a nail I really want to try like the sic nails, I can simply buy a flat coil from Amazon for about 35 bucks. And adjust some setting on the Auber unit.

So it seems a connection of one of the wires To 20mm encased dnail coil came loose and shorted under the sleeve. And now the control unit is nonoperational. The red standby light dont even flicker when I plug it in. An email to auber rewarded me with a step by step intruction on how to take the box apart and open the fuse box. But nothing in regards to how to tell once youve opened the fuse box if it a a blown fuse as well as left to be desired the the specs of a replacement fuse as well as possible places one might be able to locate ine

Greetings here ;)
Been reading and searching over a cheap solution to finally get some consistent heat dab with my extract.
Auber is seriously in my mind and I have a low budget.
I already have some HE INFINITI nail.
So 1 Auber station and a 20mm coil should be good ( I remember having read about some cheap option through FC...) ?
I'm in EU anyone else on 220v with Auber here ? I suppose I need some transformer ?

Then if I would like a bit of "taste luxury", I was thinking I could be buying only a saphire insert to do the trick ? Even reading and comparing through DNail website I'm not sure it will pair good with my InfitiniTI ?
Any experienced ?

Same question about Auber and coil compatibility ?

Thanks for your answers, and if you can picture what I want I will appreciate some good advices.
Even some other brand, if you know any 420 deal going on.. (bit late though..)

I have had the rdk200 for awhile now...I usually dab at 615....but when I try to go past 700ish to clean my nail up bit...it stops at 700 and won't go further about 80% of the time. I think it's a setting I can change..
This is for a flat coil BTW....

Right now I have it at 950 and the actual won't budge past 700..

I use both, the 200 and 300 without converter but with the special 220 V version coil they sell
:D
But I guess if you want to use it with 110 Volt coils you will need one

You need to adjust the settings, there's another thread here that I found to tweak mine. Auber support might be able to help too.

Can you post a pic of your exact nail? I'm pretty sure you need a flat coil for that. I would email Auber about 220v support, the site says it's supported though you may need an adapter.

I don't think the sapphire insert will work with the InfiniTi, could always e-mail D-Nail to be sure. It will work with the Halo's though so you could upgrade to a SiC Halo without needing a new base.

You can see some here : https://www.google.be/search?q=HE+I...tLHMAhXCiywKHYN1DyUQ_AUIBygB&biw=1440&bih=780

Even a picture from reddit (on the up right) with a flatcoil. Which kind is it ? 20mm ?
I'll ask Auber, thanks ;)
I still wonder about temperature stability with Auber station ?
It's just a flat coil, all flats should be roughly the same size and will work.

I'm testing an Auber RDK-300 now, it takes a bit longer to get to temp with some initial over/undershoot but it's a great deal for the price unless you're willing to spend more on a unit.
