Asking for advice on a good desktop vape

I'd say the majority of Nano users aren't here to suggest you get the Nano because they are too busy getting vaked with said vapes. The Nano is also eminently repairable by the user, and gets a lifetime warranty for FC members. :D

Hi,

I own a Extreme Q and a Volcano as my desktop units. Since getting the extreme Q the volcano has been pretty much gathering dust as I love the ability to connect my extreme Q to glass.

I am looking for a unit that produces high flavour and taste with little amounts of herb, as I feel the extreme Q uses way too much... Maybe thats my tolerance. I use around 1g a day currently, looking to cut this down.

I recently preordered a vapexhale cloud evo as the fact it uses tiny amounts and produces high flavour was a big plus to me, however as I am international, I have not recieved this and decided to cancel my pre-order.

If the vape comes with glass that would be a plus (like the evo does)

i think you could do much better than the nano your on 220v also so opens other doors

Some people find the EV2 to take long or too much space. The EV2 looks like the biggest log I've seen.

The nanos are still being produced, I thought he was trying to get rid of the EV2s.

I don't think he'll choose the Aromed because the E Nano screams simplicity, I imagine users getting scared just looking at that.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
For personal use a log vape will be fine. If you are going to be partying with 2 or more people, the LSV is a much better choice.

The LSV has a much larger bowl capacity as well as much larger "reserve" power. It will fuel group sessionsway easier than a log vape. Also, it can conserve if you can. Meaning, it extracts just as efficiently, you just find yourself wanting bigger and bigger hits.

I used both my LSV and HI in group settings last weekend and the LSV won hands down.

The AroMed is not ascetically pleasing to me... I want a vape that looks beautiful not like something found in a hospital. :2c:

I am still torn between the LSV and the e-nano. I assume both are going to be an upgrade from an extreme Q anyway. Decisions Decisions..!

some good suggestions in here... you cant go wrong deciding between a log, an lsv, or an evo. i have one of each and like them all. i would say get all 3!

start with a log for small loads and efficiency. then get an lsv for knockout hits. i would suggest considering an ssv (or dabuddah) w/lsv heater cover. its similar to the evo when setup this way. i use a male male adapter with an ELB inside and can mount water tools on top. its a bit cumbersome to invert an ssv due to weight but very doable as long as you hold onto it. i think the cost is similar with the lsv if you go for a blemished model.

the evo is great as well and does what the lsv does but a little better in all areas except reliability and heatup time. i use my log during the day and the evo at night. the lsv is the ultimate backup and i use it a few times a week for change of pace/different vape signature.

Have you checked out any of the log websites? Some offer exotic woods that might intrigue you.

Yes the Walnut e-nano looks really beautiful. But the big hits of the LSV sound tempting, I do love massive clouds.

I am intrigued by your idea of using the LSV heater cover on the dbv to use it like an evo. Are you talking about the regular lsv heater cover ($20, I think). What size male to male adapter, and does the ELB fit in the adapter? Do you find that this setup is stable?

yes, the regular lsv heater cover fits on ssv and dabuddah. i dont have a dabuddah but i use an lsv hc on my ssv. its my preferred way to use the ssv. i got my lsv hc at vapornation... was like $16 shipped after FC discount.

the male/male adapter has to be 18mm both ends. the one i use the ELB slides right in snug like the top of the evo. BUT... i have a few other 18mm male/male adapters where the ELB is too large to slide in. they were made w/slightly thicker glass. you kind of have to find an adapter that will fit it right. the adapters i got with pieces i bought from china dont fit the ELBs. but the one i got from a u.s. vendor did fit.

another option w/the adapters is to use an arizer dome screen to cap one end and a rolled basket screen in the middle.

RKvlczM.jpg

in the pic above, on the left is the chinese adapter that the elb doesnt fit. the glass is a bit too thick. on the right is one where it does fit. the bottom opening on the right you can see the ELB slide in and out. on the top on the right is the arizer dome screen and rolled screen in the middle. obviously you'd only use the ELB or the dome screen/rolled screen combo, not both. they're both shown here for illustration purposes. (note: i have a mini elb cap in the dome screen on the top right if you're wondering about the double cap - its for small loads but i dont use it often)

to answer your last question, yes, it is stable. might be even more stable with da buddah since it is 100% vertical.

The e nano can hit just as hard as a lsv but you just have to refill more often as the bowl is smaller to some this would be a plus I no I love this about my nano

logs hit hard but an lsv hits harder from my experience (at least hit for hit.) the larger load size, larger diameter load, the surface area getting vaporised per hit, powerful heater, all glass, better taste, etc.

i do prefer logs during the day for the small load size. and when i just want a buzz, not a greenout.

i have done back to back to back loads in a log and been levelled, so you can certainly do that. :science:

i might have a higher tolerance than some on here... although i only vape flowers and some hash.

I agree with @as I would rather do smaller loads even though it means taking a whole 20 seconds to dump a spent stem and load a new one. I like the Taste with no waste that comes with loading .005-.01 per stem. love Sittin' back doing 20 or so stems throughout the evening.

I really don't see any vape hitting harder then the Nano Or Underdog no matter what.

No, I haven't used an EVO so I guess I can say that may be the exception. I also don't know anyone who has large glass. I know my UD can hit as hard as the Lsv/Bubbler combos I've used.

I did say "I really don't see" and could have said "in my opinion", since this is all subjective personal opinion.

Well thanks for the input guys, but I just ordered the e-nano from epicvape.com. Can't wait until it arrives! To be honest, loading back to back stems is kind of my thing, I like to vape for taste rather than effect a lot of the time and 20+ bowls over an evening sounds like my idea of heaven. I had to get the adjustable glass adaptor as the all glass one was out of stock(? i think? It said in stock but I was unable to pick a size).

Thanks for the help guys. I have £200 left over to buy some nice glass to match with it now! :)

20 seconds your slow its all about 2 stems one on the vape one filed redy to go if needed

I need a new gong really then I can have a pretty loaded gong

Edit @Silent its a new site and he has a new glass blower so it could be pout of sdtypck or The site might be playing up but both stems ate good I use a all glass gong most

I would get a few packs of screens as the ones you need you can only get from epic vape

Remember, the E Nano runs at a native 120v. IDK what you have over there for your power grid, but the Aussies and dudes in other EU countries need a step down converter to run at 220v.
