Yeah, got to agree with lwien. It does not look like Friday is likely. They just sent an e-mail about a new revision they are making

I doubt they will get it changed and have shipments ready for Friday. I hope I'm wrong, but this sounds like more than a day or two delay...

"...the item you ordered is a pre order item only and it will not be release until the end of this week. At that time the pre orders will start shipping out in the order that they were placed.

I wonder if they had units shipped to them, and they now are going to ship them back? Or they were planning on getting them this week to ship out? Either way, looks like it doesn't matter now. Obviously people aren't getting them by the end of this week.

I wonder if the mod to vapor density is going to be on/off easily. Some people will like easy airflow draw, others some milkshake draw. Because IMO, vapor density in some cases comes with airflow restriction.
Hope I'm wrong...

I doubt davinci sent sub-par units to any retailer to sell, regardless what GV says. they may have released some units for reviewers and contest winners, but I would be very surprised if they would allow affiliates to sell a product they don't feel is ready for prime time.
Davinci has said the first to get the products will be the first people on their own pre reg list, before GV (and any other retailers)
Bottom line, I personally don't believe anything anyone says about shipping unless it comes from davinci.

I feel like their marketing plays to the lowest common denominator.Personally if I didn't know anything about the Ascent, I would look at others because using sex to sell something makes me think sub-par product.I dont care that she does xxx movies, but I dont think a medical device requires this type of mouth breather advertising.

I agree with the sentiment, but not exactly the terms? Sadly, there are bean counters who can no doubt make a case for such ads being effective, and it's a short step to 'you need to do this if you want to succeed in the market'. It does sell, and well.

And let's remember that an important part of their customer base is made of testosterone driven young recreational users..... They got their rights too you know, just ask? And they have the 'disposable income' the bean counters crave.

To some extent, 'the fleas come with the dog'?

For myself, I hope to look past the distractions and make a rational purchase decision based on credible user feedback.....right here.

I don't know about the universal valve caps, but I bet Pipes could make a really nice PV (Personal Vaporizer) out of one of the "Handy Metal Boxes" they now come in.

What's a medical device to you, for many, is a recreational device for others and as a recreational device, sex is just as much at home with a vape as it is for beer.

What DV should have done is to put her into a sexy nurses outfit and kill two birds with one stone.

^^ hmm spam? since I'm canadian and live in ontario I might just go with the torontovaporizers route since they have a free grinder I can use. I'm sure the grinder it provides is way better than mine plus I think shipping is faster they quoted july 15th but everyone is speculating at this point.
