I have been dealing directly with her. She is not responding to my pm's.
7 days now since @Davinci_vaporizer promised to overnight my replacement. It still isn't here. I wouldn't recommend this vape to my worst enemy. The whole release of this vape has been a joke, and now you can see that they don't give a shit about the customer once they have your money. Thanks for nothing@Davinci_vaporizer.
I just heard from customer service. They say they are going to mail my replacement today. 4 days later than they promised to ship it the second time and 13 days later than they initially promised to ship it. I am at a loss for words at this point. Every person I have dealt with has been incompetent.
I plan to do just that, turn of the heat and take a couple of large pulls and then leave the chamber open for a while.Another question, with my Solo after I take a couple of tokes and am ready to stop for a while I always remove the stem to stop the cooking of the medicine and allow it to cool more quickly.
It seems that the Ascent will hold the heat and I don't see a way to stop the cooking has anyone figured out how to "preserve " their medicine?
I thought it might work to turn off the unit and take the second toke with the machine already off. Has anyone tried this?
I second that, Nunavut Tripper. I have purchased two vaporizers from the States and paid zero duty both times.Unless it has been misclassified, a vapourizer coming into Canada from the US incurs no duty. The fees you are charged are the GST plus whatever brokerage fees the carrier charges. In the case of Canada Post, that is a fixed $10 fee. (Actually $9.95 if i recall correctly.)
Now let me get this straight.....we've got a thread for cotton?

Man that really sucks If you bought the unit with a credit card im pretty sure you can call them and let them know what happened. I had something similar happen called american express and they gave me the money back.Contacted DV regarding my DOA unit. Initially spoke to Arron who seemed very apologetic and helpful. Indicated I would need to leave it charging a bit longer, but if no action after 10 hours than contact them and they will provide a return shipping label. In the meantime the sent a email requesting info regarding the unit. Ok, all seems alright despite the fact this is yet another delay in me getting the Ascent.
Later I returned the email with the requested info and received a response indicating that in order for DV to replace the faulty unit, they require it be sent back to DaVinci for testing. Once they have tested unit and have confirmed that the unit is faulty, only then will they go ahead and replace unit. So I call DV to inquire as when I spoke earlier they indicated I would be receiving a return shipping label. Aaron this time is not quite so friendly or apologetic and informs me that since I live in Canada, I must foot the bill to have the completely defective DOA unit sent back to DV 100%. He said if you lived in US we could cover the return no problem, but policy was that outside US, too bad. I said that this is not really a very customer friendly policy and would they be willing to at least cover a portion of shipping (as he indicated if I was in US they would cover the whole fee, so why should they cover 0% if its not within US) and was flatly told no. At this point I said well what happens if by some fluke chance I send this one back and the replacement is defective, no I will have to cover shipping again?? His response was, well we would send out a brand new totally functioning unit so that should be and issue. We literally went round and round in circles without getting anything resolved really. I said well I paid $40 to have the unit shipped up, so another $40 back and now were at over $80 just for shipping alone! His response to that was I can almost guarentee you can ship it back cheaper than that. What??!!
So now I either suck it up and pay the return shipping (which I really have no other choice) or keep my shiny new $300+ dollar paperweight and enjoy looking at it.
Sorry for the rant, but after all the delays and customers having continued patience with DV its a little disappointing to see how they actually treat those same customers.
I'm a little disappointed to see companies still treat Canadians like second class customers
