the way i read this, and the other post about June shipments... and i may be wrong.... makes it sound like GV will have units before even before we can get them directly from the MFG???? i really, REALLY hope i read that wrong.

It's called dealer BS, intended to get you to send them your $ and then be forced to wait until they receive a shipment (or two, depending on how many people they can convince to 'prepay'). I'm not saying that every single person who preregisters with DV will get a unit from the first batch, since I don't know the numbers or how long the pre-registration period is, but if you put your name in early there's no way that any dealer shipments will arrive first.

Unless DV is coming into your home and stealing your weed, you should be fine until they release. Hit your other vapes, or light up if you have to, and then enjoy this when it is finally released.

The vaporizer market is getting bigger and bigger and it seems like almost everyday we have the next new awesome vaporizer...don't be overwhelmed ! unless you grow money on trees I suggest you wait a little bit and see how this vaporizer performs...

Well I am still out of herb until end of the month but I will say last resort was grinding stems. Worked great in the pax!
So speaking of interesting things to vape... think you could put kief in the oil jars and it would get some vape even though no air would heat it?
And yes we wont know til its out but if someone did something similar etc.

I have been lurking here for a while as well. I am very willing to be patient for what I believe to be an excellent vape, but I hadn't really thought to speak up before I read Nano's post. I should prequalify the following statement with the fact that I had tried to purchase from GV twice with bad luck. I wouldn't trust anything they say with regards to shipment. Their site often lists items as in stock and then they report back that the item is on back order. On both occasions (withing the last 2 years), I contacted customer service and received very negative attitude regarding my concerns. This is my 2 cents and from now on I will always prefer to do business direct with the manufacturer.

Sorry guys it's my fault. I haven't been in the vape scene in a while and upon my return, whatever I set my sights on gets delayed. First I was thinking about getting a Vapexhale and then their manufacturer got all messy. And now I have been thinking about getting the Ascent and now we are delaying into the June area. I am your Jonah -- cast me into the sea.



Honestly though, to those getting upset and wanting to buy something else now.. really? You can't wait until next month for the vape you've been waiting half a year for? Hang in there buds. Would you rather have a quality vape or a subpar 1st gen prototype with a few glitches here and there? I'm kinda glad they seem to be being pretty OCD about QC, even if it is delayed a little. Cheers to everyone staying in a positive light.

I'm considering waiting on it all together till all the companys really start competeing. theirs already another one that looks really nice. the hammer seemed like a cool idea, doesnt sound as cool as it seemed though.

their is a new pen coming out that looks very flipping cool, and a new clam shell stand unit that looks freaking amazing. Im holding my pennys till this all hits the market myself thaN again i already have a pax and a arizer tower. so im set plus i still use my glass pieces so. i'm bad but nothings like smoking a fat....well anyway

Hey all, sorry haven't been on here in a while. Craziness is going on in the office!

First of all, thanks all for the kind words a few pages back. I really appreciate that you appreciate us being here..made me tear up a little, not gonna lie.

This is absolutely the MOST advanced vape to hit the market. I know that is everyone's BS taglines, but this puppy has a lot of technology in it. Of course with new technology comes trials and tribulations. Luckily, nothing is really wrong with any of the software, tech specs, temp settings or any of the important stuff. We will be releasing very soon, and as soon as I have a date..I'll tell ya.

We got a little antsy waiting for the packaging and made a few tweaks here and there, all for the good, but it set us back. Even the review units are postponed. Good news though....packaging is in the factory.

As far as the other retailers go...if I don't know...how would they?


Also, regarding the temperature. We used a specific blend of ceramic because it held heat so well. I can't tell you how many vape chambers I've measured that spike to 370 and down to 220 and then up again. We've worked very hard to keep ours at a consistent temp.

I'll update as I have more!

Any vids that we can put up in the interim..got a new camera and promise I won't drink or vape until after I film...but not before I edit.

Davinci - how will the ascent handle small/persei loads? I fear that the large chamber will be ineficient for casual personal use - any thoughts about creating a little ceramic bowl insert/reducer?

I've used it for smaller loads, but it definitely isn't as efficient. Hmm...I like the reducer idea. I guess the oil jars would work too. Let me check this out.

A video that showcases the vaporizer and its features is all we need. stable camera. good focus on the actual product not the person holding it laughing and the camera focused on the person's face and not the ascent.
