Hi guys, I am new to the forum and have a question for any Aromed owners.

Has anyone that owns this machine verified that accuracy of the temperature at the light/heat source?

They have many claims on their website, they claim the Aromed can monitor the temperature inside of the Herb Material (I know thats not true by looking at the device).
I dont see a thermocouple so I am starting to believe that it might not even know the exact temperature at all, looks to me that they have just made a halogen lamp with a dimmer switch hooked up to a temperature controller, then calibrated the temp controller to read a certain degree at a specific level of power output.
If this is true what happens when the light bulb ages and starts to give off less or more heat?

 you can easily change the bulb with a new one.....believe me this unit rocks and this company is a serious thing...i've been a tester and IMO its temp controller is really precise....more than any vape i tried and they are a long list.....German people study a lot before selling anything....believe me or not this is their way to work...so i do believe to their claims!

enjoy vapor!

Thanks for the reply Marcuss, I really want one of these things for some reason. It is ugly as hell but in a strangely good way. I think this machine will last far longer than most other digital units since the heat is so far from the electronics and after looking at pictures of the inside of a Super Vapezilla I can see why they fail so often, the heat source is right next to the temperature controller and the Cal 32e temperature controller in the S. Vapezilla has an Operating Temperature of 32 F to 131 F, I can imagine the temperature inside gets far higher than that.

I read a post on Canabis.com forums in which someone stated Aromed was out of business and I emailed them over a week ago with no respose. Has anyone hear anything like this?

now is holiday time almost for all in europe soo...try later!
I met the Aromed staff in Basel in May and they were in the businnes at the max also with a new red "Testarossa" version of the unit.
I repeat this vape is one of the best desktop vapes for me for many reasons that i list here:

Precise temp control
Cheap heating element with nothing but light as source....
Glass filter, very small so no too much air in the vapor!
Strong as a german tank...sure it can last for years
The makers are long time in the businness and develop lots of projects/books to emancipate vapor against smoke, i like those crazy germans!
I cannot speak for warranty and customers service for i never need it but i'm sure they do their job seriously!

if you tell me Vapezilla i tell you...go and take a plastic bag with some glue and breathe...it is safer

I can confirm that they are in business. I have purchased one 3 weeks ago. I think it is a one man show of a company and they have been slow communicating in the past.... however, they WILL get back to you if you are seriously interested in their product.

Depends on how you define 'one man show'. Like almost all vape companies, staff is smaller than most would think, but it's not just one guy. Frank Fuchs is THE MAN for Aromed though.

Yes they are still in business, I emailed them from a different email account and they responded back within hours. Maybe their spam filter caught my other one for some reason.

Vaporbud I noticed in your signature that you sold your Aromed, can I ask why?

K i will give u the story. I am off me tit's so don't know how much sense i will make

Was telling a m8"(chronic smoker) i know about it and he's like "bs wtf a vapoizer your having a go at me" i told him to come over and give it a try.
I fill the aromed with a full load and he's start's taking massive hit's then he's like sitting there totally fucked up and goes to me "hey do me a favor and sell this thing to me" i said i would order him one online he goes "nah i am giving up smoking as of now if you sell it so i will give you the cash let me take it now then you order yourself the new one".

I had my other vape's to use so I sold it to him then ordered an I-inhale the same day was going to replace the aromed at some stage but though i might try out a new whip vape first and went with Da Buddha which i like a lot so far.

My next vape will probably be a bag vape always wanted to try the cano.
