Arizer Air MAX

After being able to use this device for a while now, I can say it works well and as advertised. The draw on the glassonglass 14mm connection when using a water piece is quite restrictive. Id love more airflow through water. Im an old Solo user, so the glass stem doesn't really bother me, but I could see now, after not vaping for a few years, that the glass stem is the weakest link on this thing. Still a great vape and worth purchasing. My 2 cents

I have the new Max and the airflow is much better than my Solo 2. I didn't have any issues with flow in the Solo 2, but the Max seems like its as free flowing as can be.

Does anyone use an upside-down basket screen for shorter sessions/microdosing? Is there any other method used?

I agree that it is too restrictive with the glass screens with only four holes...There are no stems without the glass screens?
I had to break the glass screens and put an ss screen. totally different experience...now a session goes faster

I have used a standard flat screen over the four hole glass screen in the Solo2 stem and that created better airflow, as it kept bits of flower away from the holes.

I'd recommend getting a pure convection vaporizer, probably a plug-in desktop, to use through water instead of this one, it does not have that much power with its hybrid heating and limited air flow as a result, you can find ways around it like avoiding the holes in the glass stem, with a good WPA, but I think the money would be better spent or saved up rather on a superior vaporizer for this specific purpose in my experience

How did you break only the screen without breaking the whole stem ?

How's everyone liking their air max? Compared to my air 1.5 feels kind of weak? Also when it's real cold the air max won't turn on unless I warm it up while the air chugs along fine.. air max also heats up quick I initially but turning it up mid sesh results in very slow heat up... bad unit?

I usually turn mine on to about 400F with the glass in and let it run a cycle to warm up before use. It's a slow sipper compared to my convection vapes, but the flavor is great throughout the whole session in my experience.

With my convection vapes I feel like I get 2-3 great tasting hits and then it's just meh for flavor. End results are pretty similar though.

Loving the Air Max for flavor and just relaxing. If I need to get shit done more quickly, I reach for a convection heavy vape.

Anecdotal, but that's my experience with the Air Max.

Right, if I need a real quick huge hit or two I grab the dynavap some greens and a little wax :p Hmm I just figured the air max would be more powerful than my air 1.. even though the air1 can't hold temp on real fast hits, even though it heats slower and is 6 years old, just seems to more evenly and quickly extract a stem :(

Lovin' my AirMAX. Having owned a Solo II, I had big expectations that have been largely met.

However, I've been a little disappointed with the heat-up time. With a fully charged battery, the device heats-up in well under a minute, as advertised. But in subsequent sessions, especially when the battery is less than half "full", heat-up times approach 2 minutes. Is that normal / others' experiences? I was wondering if I got a bum battery?

Say you heat it to 375, full battery. After some hits you bump it to 428. Does yours sometimes take a lonng time to get there?

Love mine. I’ve only got an ArGo and a Stickybrick OG to compare it to but I can’t find anything about the air max I don’t like. Easy to clean, heats up quick, vapour quality is good, it’s been great. I only use it around the house and the battery never gets below 60% so maybe that’s why I haven’t had any heat up issues, couldn’t really say.

Welcome to FC @Dressedspring1 1. Glad to hear you are liking the Air Max. Many of the people who have been here long term started our vaping careers with Arizer vapes and many many of us still use and enjoy Arizer vapes.

If you have any questions or concerns, ask away.

I have been using my new Airmax for a few weeks now, and I have to say that it blows the doors off of the Air 2 and the Solo 2. The form factor is superior to the Solo 2 in my view (smaller and easier to handle), and the draw off this is much easier. Theres so little restriction that it I had to get used to it, and slow down while taking a hit. Its the best of the portables by Arizer imho.

Far as Arizer brand goes, I've only tried the Air Max and really find it to be very flavorful. So long as you can deal with the restriction in air flow, it's great because of the flavor you get.

I don't believes the number of holes make any significant difference. The restriction is coming from the seal between the device and the stem not the holes. If it were the holes causing restriction the stem wouldn't be so unrestricted when inhaling through it without the device attached.

ok...:\
It's not a big difference but it's definitely noticeable. I agree that the biggest restriction comes from the seal with the stem and the air intake.
... much less restriction than the original doesn't seem desirable as it would mess with the performance of a device that is 100% conduction.
Now that it's a different experience I can assure you... easier to blow the avb at the end of the session and no bits in the mouth!..and yes the session is faster...
By the way... I never managed to put a flat ss screen, in front of the glass screen!! they were not completely settled on the glass screen and when blowing the avb it went with it and I ended up losing some

So I know I was complaining about the air max not extracting as good or as fast as my OG air 1.5, but it seems whatever it was, me or the device, has figured it out lol I love mine. I set the auto shutoff timer to 15 minute just because sometimes I draw out the session but I can usually finish it a lot sooner through glass. Just cleaned the 14mm adapter and dabbed the oil reclaim that was in it, didn't taste bad and had solid effects 👍

device still doesn't want to turn on if it's left out in the cold, say in a car. Weird but if I hold it in my hand or pocked for a few minutes it'll turn on and be about 51°F and work fine. Haven't had a vape that wouldn't start in the cold lmao 🤣

I have a completely unscientific theory that the majority of the air restriction is coming from flower being sucked up against the holes in the stem and blocking airflow.
