No overweight here and I have kept the same weight for the last 20 years while using MJ. All my "pot friends" are slim too.

During winter I am more lazy but it does not affect my weight because I naturally eat less.

In the summer, I cycle to work every day (25km round trip) and my weight will vary within 10 pounds. I usually loose about 5 pounds of fat and water at the beginning of the season, and then I gain it back in muscles, so overall I stay pretty much the same weight...

My personal perception is that MJ users in general are not overweight and I also notice that we usually look younger than we are. Or perhaps it's just me that likes to think I still look young :p

Vaporisateur,

here for the chicks
Nope, although I do seem to have a little winter belly going on at the moment, not sure what's that about :uhoh:

Still just 60kg @ 1,73m, so I guess I'm ok.

6 foot, 180 lb. Lots of brazilian jiu jitsu, running, hiking, some weights, SEX.

I like being 170-180, I used to be very skinny then started lifting a lot in college.

I'm a slightly out of shape, but not much at all. I'm 5'10", but I have no idea what my weight is. Last time I was weighed, I was at the doctor's lol As a gauge, I'm still plenty comfortable to go to the beach.

Must be about 140 on a heavy day, so, pretty skinny. Most of my rocker friends are skinny too; but that's probably just because the fact I'm at a Liberal arts college/conservatory

Almost exactly the same for me. 5"11 - About 150 lbs. Pretty trim mainly from not ever owning a car licence and cycling my whole life.

No I'm thin/athletic and I eat a well balanced diet, and exercise frequently even if it's just taking a walk daily.

The summer I smoked the most was said to be my highlight of my physique. This can be of many things tho it was also the summer I began playing sports on a daily basis.

(Hippie's a better man than I for being able to excercise, I still don't)

perception is different in France lol

Thanks to our wonderfull anti-drug campaign, pot smokers are (mistakely) seen as skinny. Because a pot-smoker is a drug-addict in France, and a drug-addict is always pale, skinny and stoned! SIMPLE

Of course, this is what TV shows, and a lot of people don't trust TV anymore ;)

Muut,
I've been overweight most of my life, well before I ever started getting high. I'm 6'0 and 240 lbs right now, but I've been down to about 180 with diet and exercise. I'll probablly start working on losing it again here pretty soon. I've lost weight and gained while smoking, but I don't think it effects my matobolism.

If I don't smoke or vape anything for days I will lose my appetite and become depressed, so I could lose weight that way, but it would not be healthy emotionally or physically.

Funny how depression affects people. For me, depression increases my appetite. Of course, they say that meth causes you to lose weight too. Not me. It just caused me to eat faster.

I started an anti-depressant treatment 1 year ago, and I have gained 15 kg :p I was weighting 61 kg for 1m72, so I was in good shape with not too much fat. Now I weight 74 kg ;(.

It is not a huge problem, but now I want to get rid of this extra fat so I'm going to work out ;)

edit: depression not caused by cannabis. I had quited for 2 months at that time. But now I have been vaping for a year and it has been 6-7 months that I'm living the happiest days of my life^^

I'm thin, sometimes I run a 5k. The weight issue is basically genetic.
My wife and I can eat the same thing and expend the same energy, and
she will gain while I will not. Genetics determine metabolism.

^^ Yup. If genetics aren't on your side as far as maintaining a healthy weight, it's a helluva lot of work swimmin' against the tide.

It's kind of ironic too if you think about it. Because for thousands of years people lived in conditions where having a slower matoblism and being able to store fat with fewer calories was a huge benifit, as in it helped you survive. Now it is the opposite and you have to work harder to keep healthy and live longer.

i totally see what you are saying, but really it's not "work hard", it's more like work out and get excercise like we used to. We got lazy since the industrial revolution or earlier... :p
