I will have to admit I am a bit of a vaporizer hoarder. I have given units away but I hold on to them a long time before I do. My newest unit seems to always be my favorite. You are all familiar with the "honeymoon phase".

I do go back and use some of my other vapes. Sometimes I use a vaporizer depending on what mood I'm in.

I notice some of you post the vaporizers that you own or have sold off or given away.

I have given away a Vapir No.1, MFLB and a Pinnacle Pro but still own:

I am keeping my eyes on the Grasshopper which maybe my next purchase - depending how things work out. I think most of you feel like I do - always looking for the right vaporizer.:cool:

My Extreme Q is sitting in the closet... Its needs an elbow in order to be able to use it... It sits in the 2nd back up spot right now, haven't used it in over a year.. If need be it will be there and I could have another elbow quick... I believe in having more than one backup..

Still regret selling the backup Solo

FWIW~ I did replace the Lotus I gave away, just can't go without that one!
Kinda regret getting rid of the Plenty, but don't want to drop the funds to replace.

After buying a new home and a recent engagement, my hobby money has been spent on all sorts of other "necessities".

I have a lot of different vaporizers over the years, and if I decide they are not for me, I let them go. I used to gift them to friends, and I think I sold one. As of late, I've been donating them to Vitolo, and will continue to do so, with his permission.

I used to upgrade my vape then sell the old unit to help pay for the new one. Thats changed.

Since joining this forum I've become addicted to buying new vapes and various accessories and now I kind of do all three. :D

I have given a couple to friends to get them into vaping.

Sold a few to get some $$$ back.

Hoard the vapes I love. :love:

I blame this wesite for the hoarding quite frankly. :drool:

I usually keep my vapes but not always.
A few have been given away to friends and a few sent to @Vitolo to help with the Pay It Forward program.

I am almost in the same boat as @FlyingLow , just bought a new house, so vape money has been spent "elsewhere"... Not complaining in the least!!
The move has kept me off the forum a bit and my VAS and GAS has subsided considerably!
Not something i enjoy but it is making me realize that what i have at present in the line up is pretty damn good!

Lately i am also discovering some of my "older" vapes that i fell in love with a long time ago!
Herbie was the first to come out of her box and man did i miss the almost instant heat up time when busy!
Dry hits with the Swagger HT are sweet!
The the Volcano was unpacked and bags were blown and devoured! Great but i find the Volcano bags to be quite dry, even at 5,5 on the dial. More experimenting!
Then the LSV, solid and always performs! Quick heat up as well!
Then the Vrip was found! :love: And all was good again in my world!
Then the Extreme Q stole the show with amazing bag after bag!! Best flavour IMO for a bag!

Through all of this my mot used vape was and still is my MiniVap, Teflon core!
It is a gentle beast that will punch you on the inside of your face when not looking!!

Later today i am going to break out the Aromed 4.0!

So the line up is pretty diverse, mostly desktop units that are seeing a lot of use!
Not really thinking about selling/giving any away at the moment.

Last vape i sold was my E-Nano and i still kind of miss it...!

For me the situation is different - I need to keep at least one copy of every vaporizer I can for my 3D models. Living or dead, doesn't matter - as long as I can use the chassis of the vape to test the fit of my accessories (And any future modifications to the design), I'm golden. Yes my 3D scanner allows me to keep a rough digital profile, but my scanner is nowhere near accurate enough to discard the physical vape.

I've only been vaporizing for 16 months and making accessories for 14, but I've already amassed a small collection which continues to grow slowly. One day when it's big enough I'll snap a picture of the "grave yard" :lol:

Yes, you need one. Vaporizing herbs requires a substantial amount of heat. This heat can cause stress on the vape in several ways (especially with electronic vapes).

I never suggest buying the same vape, but it's good to have a second vape so you're not tempted to go back to combustion if the worst happens.

For me, I had a Davinci Ascent - loved it. Used it 4x a day for 4 weeks, convinced me to fuck combustion. At 30 days of ownership, the vape stopped heating up. An infamous issue had reared it's ugly head - used the vape, turned it off, repacked it, turned it back on - no heat - wires inside the hinge snapped. I called that night and started the RMA process, but that involved sending the vape in for repairs. So I said fuck it and bought another vape that night with overnight shipping lol.

You can buy quite a few nice used vaporizers under $100 if you look around. Your Air should live a long life, but it's always smart to have a backup!

If I don't use something for a year & still don't miss it then I'm happy to part with it.
I started with a Da Buddha which I loved for ages. It broke & I was stuck without anything until it was replaced & finally realised the importance of a backup.
Like an idiot bought another DB, they're great but I should have tried something different. Finally bought & tried some others & eventually sold both DBs.
Had a Pinnacle for a couple of months but, well you know. There's a MFLB that has just sat in the cupboard since I bought it.
At the moment a nano & evo are my daily drivers but still occasionally enjoy the Volcano & Pax. Solo & Firefly still get use but rarely. Tastes change so who knows. I do know I know I'd love a Mighty or Sub but can't really justify either right now, I'll probably sell or pass on a couple of mine when I get my act together.

Having a 2nd vape as a backup has prevented me from going to the dark side. I even started a forum "Question for those who owned tried more than 1 vaporizor." because I thought having more than 1 type of vaporizer was a good way to have more that one option. At least thats my rationalization. :)

Perhaps having only one desktop and one portable, both under warranty might be a minimal choice for anybody VAS-o-phobic. Internal Batterys and the normal stress @Ratchett mentioned is a consideration if you own a single vaporizer of any kind. One example. I'm waiting on a return on a warranty for my EQ. Fortunately, I was able to make my portables into whip vapes with the attachments and some silicone tubing. So I'm not obsessing over that seemingly long RMA process. :( Or should that be two portables and one desktop?
BTW, I am considering an Arizer Air to get around the whole internal battery problem. My dream portable being something like a cross between an Arizer Air and a Summit.:zzz:

I keep the vapes I like to use, and unfortunately or not, depending on how you look at it, there are quite a few of those right now. I have sold off quite a few, and have also given a few away to friends and causes.

I currently have 7 plug-in vapes, 3 flame-powered portables, and 4 battery-operated portables with 1 or 2 more on the way. That sounds like a lot of vapes now that I think about it. Variety is the spice of life :tup:!

Even if I narrowed my vapes down to my "favorites", I still have too many because that's the majority!

Hello all. For those of you who don't already know me - my name is Seren - and I am a Vaporiser Hoarder Collector :D

But in my defence I only have a few, so far:
  • 2 logs
  • 1 battery powered portable
  • 3 butane powered
....and I use them all, so.... :shrug: :)

Besides, living in the UK it's not so easy to trade in second hand units - that's my excuse anyway, and I'm sticking with it :D .... and none of my close friends are at the point where they wish to switch from combustion to vaping, so I haven't gifted any of my own yet.

Like you @steama - I'm so very attached to my Vapmen - and my logs - I'll never get rid of them.... in fact I can only see me buying more vapmen - one ebony, a yew, and an etched one from @M0J0 - I think I'd like my very own Vapman army one day :D

Vapes are like people, you never know what your gonna get. Not every vape is for everyone. So............. I figure I Gotta try em all!
I like to give away my "old" vapes to help people make the switch from combustion. (Indica, Extreme Q, 3 Solo's, Lotus, Plenty, Pinnacle Pro) I have also used the Classified Ads here to both sell and buy. Gotta LOVE FC!

I don't think I will ever get rid of my E-Nano - Love my Nano!
I like each Vape for different reasons/uses as well as different situations/social settings. Can't take a Nano fishing.
I am always looking out for that next mind blowing vape experience.

I'm a minimalist but also a perfectionist, so I keep multiple vapes around, but only ones that I use.

The exception is my E-Nano, which has been broken for a while after taking a nasty spill and I need to send it back to Andy to get the wooden part repaired. I will eventually do this because this really is a nice vape. I've just been lucky that for the 6 months or so it has been broken, I've had some amazing other vapes to keep me occupied.

I have a Mighty, which I use exclusively for flowers at home through my Luke Wilson rig. I very rarely use flowers so this actually gets very little use.

I use my Vapman for bubble hash, which I consume very frequently and is my main night time medicine (chronic insomnia for multiple decades now). I find that the vapman is the best vape I have ever used for hashes that don't fully melt - with the possible exception of the Sublimator (I had one and loved it but sold it because the timer just made it impractical, however if someone over in the sub thread finally figures out where the timer is in the circuit and a way to remove it, I'll buy another!).

I use my D-nail at home for oils (all of my oils are absolute shatters, with the exception of some cbd saps) on my Pyrology rig usually, and one of my 2 x minicron lites with dual coil Kiss Alpha Centauri cart with either the globe connected to my Ryu Wilson rig if I'm indoors or the metal outer casing alone when out and about.

I do not use flowers while I am out of the house at all unless at another friend's house who vapes.

I predominately use absolute shatters in my Minicron Lite/Kiss AC pen while out and about.

The vapman is used very frequently but not so much on the go, since I prefer not to use anything with much plant material on the go, as the couch lock is just not that helpful lol. The w9 pens are much easier to use for oils, although I must admit the vapman is great for this so long as you don't miss those invisible terpy tasty hits during the very initial part of heating.

I also tend to hit the vapman directly from the mouthpiece only to catch those early low-temp conduction invisible vapor hits - otherwise, it is huge whitewall rips through my Luke Wilson rig. I use the vapman for sleep, little direct draw hits are not what I need (although it is definitely useful for this method too!), I want a massive rip that'll send me into that sweet goodnight!

I have owned and sold a lot of vaporizers, all in the last 6-9 months or so. I don't hang onto items I don't use, I have very high standards (if you'll pardon the pun) for my vapes and if they aren't just right for the purpose, they don't hang about long!

Not a hoarder yet. Only have 4 vapes, and they all serve a purpose at the moment.

2 logs as my main vapes, I rotate back and forth. I have 2 as a back up system for each other (which is good as my Nano is in the shop right now).

My MFLB for stealthy hits on hikes, bikes, in public, etc...

And my Hammers for when I'm looking to go mobile in my house. Also great when all electricity fails. Which has happened more than a few times.

Currently a hoarder but I've given away the EQ, VTower, a couple genies, DV, and FMs.

When I get my gH I am hoping it will be a good reason to drop all this dead weight, I bought 3 Plano 4 pistol cases to hold my vapes and honestly would like only one and the Versa case.

I plan to keep only my Hoppers, UDs, Hammers, and Genies.

I consider myself to not be a vape Hoarder, but at the same time I've had lot's of logs, and have multiple logs (and counting) in different woods, a number of portables and a couple other desktops.. I use most of my vapes on a regular basis though, but some sit around for the most part.. Once I have some vapes that I feel excel at what I look for, the rest kind of fall by the wayside.. I tend to always wanna get rid of any vapes that don't stand up to my main vapes.. Once I get it in my head that I don't really like, or have a use for a specific vape, I tend to not really want it around anymore.. All I need is a decent variety w/ a couple for back up's and designated travel vapes..

I've probably only ever sold a few vapes, but at this point I've lost track of how many have been given away.. IMO Vapes make great gifts, and it's better to pass vapes along, rather than let them sit there.. Unless you're trying to build a Vape Museum or something ;)
