My 13 year old, step daughter has decided she likes the smell of our local bong/hippy shop, so while out shopping with friends, she went and bought some incense sticks and a holder to make her room smell nicer...
After a short think, I put 2 and 2 together and realised that this is smouldering combustion, which as we know is bad....
I bit of research later, and my worries were confirmed, incense sticks are very bad, specially for young, undeveloped lungs....
Why are there not any health warning on these packs, why are they allowed to be sold to children???
I think people need to me made more aware of the possible dangers of burning these poisens in the home...
I don't allow smoking in my house, and this started to make my 3 year old cough, so it has to stop...
But I'm fair, and I understand she need's to express herself and become her own person, and part of that is her choosing how her room smells...
So I gave a 13 year old a vapouriser...
Just a cheap Chinese conduction, vape minus the dome and whip...
And it works really well with the sticks, I just cut them up and put them in the bowl and turned on low...
In a minute they were releasing the smell she likes, without combustion, problem solved, and now she is interested in mixing essential oils to put in it...
So was it right or wrong to give her a vapouriser/aromatherapy device???
And has anyone else vaped incense stick's? ???
