I'm so glad to hear my post was useful to you guys. As for what treeman said about getting the item held until you pay the VAT, I guess you've got two choices. Remember the post I made a while back?
The first option is you can ask them to mark the package with "goods to be declared by importer" so you only have to pay the $11(£7) import VAT but you'll have to wait for the form to be sent to HMRC and back.
The second option is you could get it sent as normal and pay the £8 holding charge on top of the £7 import VAT but you may receive your package a bit quicker.
Personally I'm in no hurry so I'd be tempted to go for the first option but of course the choice is always yours.

Fellow UK vaper here. From the North West of England, my weapon of choice is currently an ssv but i'm looking into portables for purchase early next year (inhalator or the zenpen). Bud here is generally £20 for 1.5g, or I can get about 6.8g for £70. The quality varies massively which is important when vaporising. Sometimes I'll get 12-13 good hits from a bowl, sometimes I'll get 4-5

To those who grow their own; Aren't you worried about the potential consequences were the worst to happen? Growers get shut down all the time around here. I really can't wait for the older generation to die out and for our country to be run by people who know what they're doing such that prohibition can go away.
Anybody know any decent places in the UK to get glass from? I'd really like a water based setup for my ssv, but don't know much about it.

46 married with 4 kids. Househusband. Been smoking since 14, serious since 18.
I can only get pollem £100 or £130 for very good quality. Per oz
Could get skunk but £20 for a gram..wont pay that.
Im from kent.
I need to look after lungs but not sure what vape would work with pollem.
Can anyone help. I am waiting for new nails for my glass dome vape. Burnt 1st one out straight away on 5v.
Will let u know how it works.

Welcome to the forum @peterpiper. All I want is some good or reasonable quality hash. Lucky git lol. £20 a g for weed? Crazy prices. Im also from Kent, £20 gets me 1.5-2g! Still way too expensive.
A solo should do polm quite nicely with a screen or cotton. We have limited vape options as Im sure you well know!

Hey peterpiper, jealous of your hash connections, I almost love pollen more than weed. I put it straight into my dabuddha vaporizer, no need for weed or plant material as well. It's so efficient and so sooo tasty. I once put a half gram in their, cranked the heat quite high and I didn't have to reload for 3 days (took countless vaporbongs), just keep stirring.
I've heard of £20 a g before, hell here its £25 for 1.5g but I can get better deals visiting home.
Good to see so many people vaping in the UK, of the many people I've gotten very baked with a vape only one has actually went and bought one themselves.

Hello fellow UK FC'ers! What a great idea for a thread - it's really nice to have some place to come for UK specific discussions. In response to your questions then @misanthrope:
1) I'm based in Wales
2) £20 can buy anything between 1.5g and 4g. The quality varies quite considerably - sometimes it's top notch high grade, at the other extreme it's occasionally damn-right bunk! But in the most part, the herb is relatively good - blueberry and cheese do the rounds quite often, as has kush lately.
3) The street price of herb is most definitely rising, sharply!
I actually acquired a complementary large black bag full - but unfortunately it must have come from the wrong field, because it wasn't up to much I combusted back then, but only vape now. I only have 2 vapes (so far), my first purchase was the Solo, my second the Vapman Pure - and I absolutely love them both. I think my next purchase will either be a log or the SSV - I like the efficiency that the logs offer, but am also taken with the glassware that the SSV offers - oh, decisions, decisions!

I don't recall the Worthing shop, or the Lancing one for that matter, but I remember visiting a shop in Rhyl around about the same time I think. It was a great little café selling mushrooms over the counter and the green stuff below. Sadly that didn't last too long either. Pity - as it probably would have injected a bit more life into the town in terms of tourism - it was the sole reason for my one and only visit there in any case

Hi there, i am in Sussex. Lots of us from the south coast then. I have been vaping for about a year and a half. I'm currently using a slightly modified Vapir no 2 which i am loving now. I was paying £25 for an eighth though sometimes slightly under... new guy is 1g for £10. I'm 35.

Hello from Staffordshire - I'm aged 46, and was inducted in the world of weed when I was working in the US aged 19. So it's all the Americans' fault...
I've been combusting ever since, bongs then later spliffs, but was getting really concerned over the health implications (I have a couple of kids). I've read only recently about vaping, really, largely because I don't really know anyone local who still partakes. I needed something portable and stealthy, so plumped for a Vapir No.2 which is actually waiting in a box at home for me right now. The Missus really hates my habit and will probably freak out at the new apparatus but I will cross that bridge later...
I feel a bit overawed with all the information on this site about my new toy and the new methods I need to employ, but I'm going to try and remember to soak the stem in warm water and remember not to stick the cleaning brush into the chamber when it's hot! Any other newbie tips welcome.
I've known a guy round here for years who's looked after me who will only sell by the oz. for various types of super smelly stuff. He wants £180-190 these days.

Got my arizer solo friday and i love it. Still combusting the odd single when i take the dog for a walk. I hit pollom at no.5 for a few hits then stir then a few more hits. Then up to 7 to finish it off. I put a sreen in, pull it out and insert the other way as a dome. Then put another screen straight in. This reduces the bowl from .5g to .25g. Just right. This lasts about 2-3 hours. Honestly. I cannot do in one session. Have to keep switching off. I started a bowl at 2pm and only just gone up to 7. Will give up combusting soon but dog looking at me

Hey @WTE. It sounds like your friend really does looks after you, IMO those aren't bad prices at all.
Hopefully if you explain how much healthier vapourising is to your Missus then she'll see the benefit of your new apparatus. Also you should see a drop in your consumption if you give up combusting so that'll save money which might help persuade her.
Unfortunately I've never used a Vapir No.2 before but I'm guessing if you ask any questions you have about it in the dedicated thread then someone will be able to answer them.

Liking my Vapir No.2.
At first, I wasn't sure I was "doing it right" - (like the first time for lots of things...), It doesn't produce much vapour at all, but I got really quite toasty so something was working. I wasn't sure how long to inhale, for how many times - but it's fun finding out! Although relatively small, it's not quite as stealthy as I'd like and it's a bit more fiddly than I'd ideally like. However, four sessions in and I've already invested in a better grinder and I'm already considering getting the MFLB too!
I'm really believing that I can now finally give up the demon weed - tobacco, that is. I'd be really pleased if I could. Plus, I'm wondering how long my remaining material will now last. Smoking spliffs, I reckon it would normally have lasted a week to 10 days. We will see...
P.S. I know was asking in the wrong place, Richy, but even this 46-year old big kid was excited about his new toy but was finding it difficult to plough through 80 long pages of that thread. I appreciate that newbies can be pretty irritating and I promise to behave from now on.

Don't worry man, you weren't irritating at all. I'm sorry if I made you think you were. I just thought I'd direct you to some of the people who know best about that device. I noticed there are a few very knowledgable people on that thread like Vitolo, he really helped me out when I was making my choice to get an LSV.
I'd recommend reading the first 5 or so pages and the last 5 or 10 pages then if your questions aren't answered there ask the question in the thread. Personally I don't believe someone should have to read 80 pages to find the answer to one question. Of course there are always some people who get funny about people asking questions that have been asked before in the thread but I just tend to ignore them if that information isn't easily obtainable, you'll find most people quite understanding of the fact that it can be tedious to read through 80 pages of material.
From what I understand the MFLB does require a certain skill to use it which some people have trouble with but don't let that put you off. Just have a little read of the thread and you'll probably find out if it's a good choice for you. As you already have a portable vape have you given any thought to a desktop unit as they tend to have a bit more power so you can get thicker more noticeable clouds? I only ask because you said you weren't noticing much vapour from your NO2 and maybe something that's a bit more of an "asskicker" would help you with giving up smoking as you might get more satisfaction from feeling the denser vapour in your lungs.

First post and another one from the South East. 23 and orginally from Croydon but now in a small town in East Sussex. I haven't got my vapour yet as i only found out about this a week ago looking for other ways to take the herb without smoking it. It really hurts my lungs now unless i drink alcohol which i find strange. I'm ordering a solo on Tuesday so hopefully it will have the same effects it has on everyone here
