Yo clicker, I heard Backes and Schwartz are injured. Anything serious? Also, what are your thoughts on Schwartz as an Nhl'er? I saw him a few times with Colorado College. Always stood out from the crowd.

yeah they are, as well as sobotka, but all three are "day to day" so im not concerned. in fact sobotka and schwartz could both be back tomorrow.

regarding schwartz... Blues fans LOVE him. hes not a monster sized llayer but he plays a big mans game. tenacious on the forcheck. kid just does not give up on a play. in fact i thought he was our best player in the playoffs last year. kid is a gamer and is a lot of fun to watch.

on a related note... Steener signed a three year extension with my Blues today!!!!!!!! everyone thought he was gonna test the market being that he is second overall in goals and in a contract year. well all the other teams can forget it! he took less than 6 a year to stay in STL. love that shit. great player and winning is more important than payday to him. beautiful.

ah ok. I saw that the Blues had lost a couple in a row, that's not like them this year. Then I saw somewhere that those two were out. Good to hear that Schwartz is a force in the big league.

I've got a really good friend who is a Blues fan (fairly casual) but he's wishing the Wings were still in the Central now that St Louis is a top team. Always fun to whip Detroit. Thankfully the Hawks got their revenge on them the last few years before sending them packing to the east!

i hate detroit as much as the next guy, but i never considered them a big rival. i say that because in the end they always would beat us. to them it was not a rivalry either. i would like to have them in the central still, but it doesnt break my heart that they arent. their reign of terror is over IMO.

Habs in town tonight and Schwartz is back in the lineup. ill be in attendance and expect him to be flying around. backes, sobotka, leopold, and reaves are all still out. weve got serious depth though so im not concerned with it.

yeah I can see why Blues fans are sick of the Kings. Somebody on the hockeysfuture boards was saying that LA is 15-2 against St Louis in the last 17 games. Can that be right? Hard to fathom. Good lord I'm sure it would take about 1 playoff series between CHI and STL for things to get ugly and nasty again.

Not really feeling too hateful towards any one team right now. Having the Hawks win 2 Cups in the last few years has left me feeling that sweet,sweet hockey bliss! We'll see come spring time.

nice. there are a few of us on here from STL. good to see another Blues fan! late game tonight in Oil country. i hope we can keep Perron off the score sheet. he has been pretty good for them. better than Pajarvi has been for us. im thinking itll be another 2pts for the Note though. they have had some rough periods in games lately thats for sure. i just got a text notification that Polak was placed on the IR today. lower body injury. this recent rash of injuries is getting old quick. Roman has been a horse this season for our squad. Coliacovo will likely be penciled in, but he is no replacement for Polak.

i see youve got some vapes ive never tried. things like the cloud (sorry homie SM55!) and some log vapes. would you be open to a vape sesh sometime? ive got a solo, XP, a couple of Hakko mod vapes (amazing with glass, think vrip), liquidized ejmix w/ ecig gear, and some BHOLT gear i can share. i have been dying to try a cloud. just never got the funds together for one and with my son (4 y/o) i needed to get more stealthy around the house. a cloud just doesnt fit that need, but damn i wanna try one. also would love to try a log vape for good measure. whoops off topic...

without Backes, Sobotka, Polak, Leopold, and Reaves tonight may prove to be a difficult 2pts. with schwartz coming back and still playing amazing and Stewart finally getting it going we are in good shape, but they cant take a sec off like we have seen in the last 6-7 games. that shit has gotta stop.

I suppose they aren't doing too bad considering they have a lot of injuries. They seem to start slow and are always playing catch up. Having said that, they seem to catch up most of the time.

As for the vape session, two things are going to make it difficult. Both of these things are my issues but I feel I should be honest about it up front. Anyway, for one, I travel quite a bit and it is often somewhat spontaneous, as is the nature of my job. For two, I am a social idiot and find it very difficult to function in social situations.
I would love to share my vapes, that isn't the issue at all. I'd actually like to try the solo. So if I can over come my own fears, we might be able to hook it up.

regarding the session... no sweat my man. as for the Blues... you are right about playing from behind. that did seem to become a trend for them with the weak 1st periods.

and yes i just heard Backes will return tonight so that helps a ton. i think we will be ready to go. as long as we dont get into a track meet tonight we should be ok. the Edm defense can be worn down with aggressive offensive zone pressure. if we give up odd man rushes they will burn us. if our D can do its thing we will win. if they struggle the oil may make a game of it.

on a positive note it appears that Leopold will be back soon. which is good considering Polak is out 2 weeks. also Reaves should be back shortly as well. i thought Backes played great in his game back last night. Perron threatened a few times, but Elliott was up to the task. fun game to watch last night. love seeing Stewie back to his game. the guy can do it all. score, pass, forecheck, 2-way, hit, and fight. hes got all the tools to be an elite player in this league. as soon as he was traded to STL i went and ordered his jersey.

not sure they know how bad steens injury is. they are just saying "upper body" and that he will miss Mondays game for sure. that could mean day to day or they could put him in the IR with a timeframe. i think they were going to reevaluate him today or tomorrow. so im sure we will know by tomorrow sometime. because of that Dimitri Jaskin has been called up from the Chi Wolves. he played a few games last season during some injury and looked great IMO. he has good size and great offensive potential.

game against the hawks coming up. hopefully we get a couple of guys back before then.
