An honey connoisseurs here? I recently got a gallon of "primo" raw honey.

It is soooo good, and so good for you.
Similar to our beloved herb, it too has many medical benefits with all the pollen and goodies in it.
The history of honey is fascinating as ancients used for many medical uses.

Anyone else into raw honey?
This batch was just filtered to remove the big chunks

....It never seems to go off....
..............................................................

They have found many Egyptian tombs with pots of honey (for the afterlife) where the honey is still good.
My gallon will last a long time and still be perfect golden goodness.

I used to go to a barber who happened to raise bees so had a great "connection". Now retired, he's too far away but found a good one on Craigslist LOL

local, always try to get local. this is important for developing a stronger immunity to outdoor allergens in your area. its useful in small amounts taken regularly. wildlflower and gallberry are my favorites.

Raw honey crystallizes when it gets cold.
It is Still good and lasts forever.
Supposedly raw honey is toxic to newborn children up to age two. I heard that somewhere .

Crystallized honey is an easy fix. Soak the container in hot water until the honey liquefies. Don't put the container in a microwave.

This is where I get my honey. http://www.theunitygardens.org/honey.html

Why Honey From The Hood ?
Our Beekeeper Tim Ives has developed a unique method of keeping Bees that produces a great Honey. Unlike most other beekeepers he never feeds his bees sugar. Instead he leaves enough Honey for the Bees to feed on and does not rob all the Honey to sell and replacing it with cheap sugar. He also gives the Bees more space to live in which means larger populations of Bees in the hive, and captures local feral Bees for his hives. All this results in stronger Bee colonies. Stronger Bees Forage better and earlier in the season.

My dad keeps me stocked with local honey . He has a friend that keeps bees and he provides him with more delicious honey than he can handle . This pays off for me as I am a honey in tea , on peanut butter banana sandwich, or straight kinda guy .

I'm always eating raw honeycomb. It's expensive, like shatter prices compared to its bud counterpart. But well worth it! Always try to buy local and support those raw organic growers and producers. We've got to starve the fake food producers to death that way they'll no longer harm our health and environment. Cheers!
