just wondering if anyone has any tricks or thoughts on this.

I have tried a lot n willlist some fails n other success. But hope to hear some info and others stories.

I always wanted to try n re use the gent carts back in day but I found it hard to not burn out with just regular use so I never really lasted to the "time to clean" period . But I likes the simple technology n Qwik use

I then going to coil type with ceramic
-- single and double in this case

I feel this matters ❓ since In all the items I have they have limited space so double could take so much space that the gunk or if your oil isn't super pure you get yuck stuff stuck Around the sides n bottom and nothing to get it out with due to limited space n not wanting to damage titanium . or preferred material.

So the single coils I have had the most luck with.

I have tried the take apart method but 90 % of the time damage something. Especially the coil. ⚠️ But if u like getting down n dirty rebuilding is probably the best option no matter what you say .... If u don't mind ordering supplies n gettin involved

So I have soaked in 99% ISO and also tried ether and both have been successful with all the major brands.

Short multiple soaks are best Imo Instead of long term soaking or Long term waiting in between cleans ??

But both seem to work. Soak. Then pick around with a dental pick carefully. Then soak n shake a but in the sutuon. ( I use a pill bottle )
And repeat 3 times and after a long long burn always below the correct voltage and let sit and let burn to get all the charcoal off /gunk and get alcohol to completely disappear !

This has been my best technique after other fails n other ideas I have tried. I will discuss later.

But I do wonder about and try and just change carts often because even if I get taste back and almost perfect I just don't understand why after cleaning. Ussually I find the coils need more voltage ? So if it was 3.7. Now suddenly no more glow till long 4.3 v or more sometines ?
Any thoughts on that one ?

Any other ideas out Thur ?

More to come from me. Thank you all !!!

Pre-filled cartridges are designed with production efficiency in mind. That is to say, vendors will fill up the cheapest carts money can buy (in 1k or 10k quantities).

They are not designed with longevity in mind. Cart manufacturers will not get compensated for spending more money to build a robust cart that will survive the long haul.

I consider you lucky that you were able to consume the contents of the entire cart before the cart experienced catastrophic failure (worn-out seals = leaks, gunky wick = poor taste, burnt coil = dead cart).

Trying to reuse disposable carts involves alot of labor, and you can tolerate the results for only several cycles. It is alot like trying to reuse disposable diapers for babies. There are plenty of people who do that to stay within their budget, but they would all be better served using plain cotton cloth.

If you can afford store-bought cannabis concentrate, you can afford to buy a reusable tank/cart.

I think I was asking wrong way. My bad.

I was talking about more permanent / well not permanent but long lasting parts / heating elements.

Ceramic elements almost clean themselves.

But the titanium coils and the ceramic and other wicks in the major portable companies. Of course swapping out is best.

But sometimes they get gunked up due to ...idk. Poor quality material or maybe just switching the taste. Can't I clean them or are all considered throw away. Most I only load .3 most
But the titanium 2. And the ceramic and the airstone ?

Can I clean. Is there any tricks.

I mean even if I get the best atomizer sometimes I need to kinda work a bit after a few sessions to make best clouds. ?

Anyone have advice.

I know rebuilding is also option. But maybe in between rebuilds.

I agree about pre filled. I'm stuck on east coast in pa. So my choices r limited. Thx
