anxiety, paranoia and pepper corns - supposed fix?

A good friend of mine told me that Neil Young has a trick so that you don't get that anxiety or paranoia when you are high. apparently the secret is to chew up and swallow a couple peppercorns. I have no links or sources from this it was just a friend who over heard this in an interview.

has anyone ever tried this? apparently it only takes a couple bits of pepper. my buddy tried this with a small handful the first time, and then had to throw up! (so don't do that)

I've not tried it yet, but if it works. I am going to be taking advantage of that while things are still "illegal" over here. I believe that's where the paranoia and anxiety comes from in the first place. the stigma of it being "bad and illegal".

WOW, i read about that.
crazy and good to hear

i think it has something to do with the terpenes present in pepper as well as in cannabis

I heard the same rumor, and tried chewing up a couple of peppercorns... lss, when I quit barfing myself to death I was no longer high. Therefore I say it works, but ymmv, and you have to decide if it's worth it. Yuck.

Imagine someone who has a car, motorcycle, bicycle, etc. that has an under inflated tire so he heads to the nearest gas station to fill it. A few days later this person notices that the tire is under inflated again so he heads back to his local gas station. This continues indefinitely because he is managing a symptom rather then addressing the underlying problem. It seems pretty clear that while putting air in the tire is a necessity, it does not fix the root cause of the problem. Yeah?

The same is true about the peppercorns. They might temporarily lower one's anxiety, paranoia, etc., but they certainly do not fix it. In fact, this likely increases one's symptoms over time, which would require more peppercorns (assuming they actually do anything), which again, would likely increases one's symptoms in the long term, which would require more peppercorns, which does not seem helpful to me.

Thankfully there are natural and organic methods for addressing the underlying root causes that would be the equivalent of patching our friend's leaky tire. Yay. :)

I just eat to come down. It doesn't matter what I eat, but it always kills or at least dampens my high.

I would wager that the source of the symptoms of the issue regarding feeling anxious is not actually the drug itself, but the negative stigma of it being illegal. I know I would not feel self conscious about it if society wasn't judging me for enjoying something that makes me feel good.

In that case, peppercorns might not help.
