Anonymous video uploads?

Hey Ya'll!

Looking to start filming some videos to share with the community. Instead of uploading to my personal youtube account, I'd like to upload the video to an anonymous site which doesn't require a login to upload videos.

Can anyone suggest a good site?

If you want true anonymity you will need to use something like TOR to upload to a new youtube account...an account which you only access through TOR, if you need an email to register the youtube account you will need to create the email account over TOR as well.

Video sites that you don't have to login to upload are not what you're looking for.

Ok, well I'm not using Youtube. Google's old "don't be evil" mantra is long gone. I won't use them for uploading video. Any other suggestions for alternative video hosting sites?

What's the reason for not using youtube?

Too connected to everything else google-related. As a digital marketing director, I know only a fraction of information they have access to, and even what I know scares the hell out of me

I'd much rather use a 3rd party video site not owned by google so it's harder to establish any relationship based on ip addresses or other meta-data available (I like to cover my tracks without rasing unnecessary questions such as why the person is using the TOR network)

Youtube/Google is best because it has the highest traffic which means you can hide in plain sight, TOR is there so you don't have to worry about your IP being traced or unnecessary questions(which wont happen anyway).

By comparison, a site offering anonymous uploading is not safe, you have to separate the uploading part from the anonymity part to be truly anonymous(even the file hosting site doesn't know who you are) ...for the anonymity part only TOR is worth using.

As Imgur does not provide an effective solution, lets examine the alternatives:

www.Mediacru.sh (also on Tor: http://mediacrs5ujufxog.onion/) Pros: located in Sweden, does not require JS, open source, clears all metadata/exif, respects do not track, encrypted connection Cons: Tracks with Google analytics

Tracks with Google analytics if Do not track is set to off (not a problem with Tor browser)
Oh look its only anonymous if using TOR ..which means you may as well go with TOR and Youtube ...more traffic > less traffic.

It is also anonymous, in the sense that Google Analytics does not get your info, if you do not set your Do Not Track flag. http://donottrack.us/ No need to use TOR for that. (although you may have other reasons to use TOR)

I use YouTube, but my account is private. Meaning you need the link to see the vids. I only link them here so it is like " invitation only". Doesn't stop others from sharing the link.

I've got google do not track on. Dare I try....
It depends on how much you trust Google

As for DNT:

Effectiveness
There are no legal or technological requirements for its use. As such, websites and advertisers may either honour the request, or completely ignore it. The Digital Advertising Alliance does not require its members to honor DNT signals. "The Council of Better Business Bureaus and the Direct Marketing Association will not sanction or penalize companies or otherwise enforce with respect to DNT signals set on IE10 or other browsers."

I won't be repeating my earlier advice ..horses led to water etc

All I did was make an email account at mail.com with fake name and everything, then created a vimeo account with that email addy. Sure they could trace my ip if they got a warrant issued to my isp, but I'm a minnow in a big ocean if you get my drift.

Ever try using Mailinator? I use them all the time to create fake email addresses for websites I never intend to sign up for
