have not needed too but i think it's time- instruction on how to change chamber/oven screen easily?
Someone asked this before. Maybe this post can help.
Received the AE and tried your method. Works well. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great! No problem 👍
So far my problem is with the dosing capsules. My fat fingers don't work well with the lids. They just won't close on the glass capsules. Going to leave them off for now.
Yeah they're a bit fiddly but I figured out how to load them without too much fuss. Try this post. If you can get the technique down, then you can remove the screen in the stem holder and that makes the airflow even more open.

First I had some problems with the capsules. Now I am having a heck of a time removing the battery covers. I feel like an idiot. I resorted to wearing rubber gloves and strenuously pulling on the covers to remove them. WTF am I doing wrong?

You have to slide them up and then out I believe. You can't just pull them off sideways.

Initially I wanted to wait until the Aerolite before deciding but I had the opportunity to score a brand new AE for only 150€ so I just had to take the plunge. Hopefully it won't be outclassed by the Aerolite but because the AE is a Halogen vape (something I don't own yet) I expect it to be a worthy addition to my collection anyway.

Do you have to deep clean the AE bowl and accessory with ISO before first use or will a few burn offs do the job?

My AE should be here tomorrow. I was planning on just doing a burn off. I don't think a swab with ISO would hurt anything but not sure it is necessary.
clean first WITH ISO. then do 2 rounds of 5min session burn-offs@max temp. let cool down slowly for 15 min. i take vape outside into sunshine for 30 more mins for a suntan. then it's ready to go. i do this with every factory vape, no matter to what brand of dhv and battery concentrate rigs, it might be owning. pid ball vapes, i refer to those experts in pid ball vapes (not me), because i do not own one and same with artisan vapes.

So how are you finding the AE?
Thanks for asking. I kinda miss having a display. However, I must say I pleased overall with the vape. As I mentioned, using the Rocket Stem (at least for me) works really well. The battery compartment covers now are easily removed and replaced. Still having issues with the the lids on the cooling units so I stopped using them (the lids). Also, your suggestion to try the BB9 turned out to be a good one. Interestingly, I don't find the flavor as pronounced as others have found. Overall, very satisfied.

All's well that ends well I guess! Happy that you're pleased with it overall.

You mentioned the lids on the "cooling units" but I'm guessing you mean the lids on the glass capsules? If you're still willing to give it another try with my technique, you might also try slightly bending the metal flaps of the lids inwards a bit to make them easier to slide inside the glass when the top goes on.

I'm only mentioning this because I personally really hated using the screen that is in the stem holder section. The mesh got clogged so easily so I was happy to get rid of it when using the capsules. I'm guessing you have to still use this screen otherwise your flower would travel up the stem.

@TigoleBitties technique was an instant game-changer for me; thanks again!

I had been dong just the opposite when trying to put the lids on, and it was like putting an older USB connector in: try; try again; try again; … .

Then just by switching it up on your advice: never missed it again, always get it on the first try, … just works!

Hey everyone,

Just got the AE and was wondering how to remove/replace the stem holder screen- do you just push it out with the end of the brush or something and then push a replacement in?

Also, could you just use a capsule screen on top of the oven without the capsule base or stem holder screen?

why replace ? clean it iso on q-tip both sides. just push it out with a q-tip-- bottom up through the top. you have replacements in your ae kit.
i would not use cap screens for that. you have 4 good screens in your kit. you can remove screens to clean them 30 to 50 to 100 times or more if you do not damage the screens. 91% iso and you can remove and soak them too.

i use my baby finger to push my top screen through the top.

Yep. I got tired of that screen gunking up after even one session so I removed it and just use the capsules. I found the airflow even better so it was a win-win for me. I've never tried just the capsule tops without the capsule base though. I'm not sure if a strong draw would unseat it without the friction of the capsule base.

Thanks for the responses on the screens. I was also wondering what people do with the avb & cleaning when out and about- do you bring a brush or something with you and just empty/brush out on the go?
