Angus Enhanced

Does anyone lube the o ring of the stem holder base? I thought of applying some coconut oil, but am not quite sure. Other than this, this vape keeps smacking me everyday into valhalla for 2 weeks constantly now.
Interesting, I just answered a similar question on Reddit. Any food grade, cooking oil/grease like your suggested coconut works. I use "Santa Cruz Shredder Shredder Grease" in the lipbalm tube. It's just hemp oil in a usefully small sized container that works nicely. Less is more.

Everyone still liking their AE?
May be a case of "no news is good news".

Yeah, I still like it. The only parts I don't use are the stem inserts to hold balls in the stem. They reduce airflow too much for my taste, even without any balls.

Other than that, I do recommend getting the data cable. Primarily to check if the default temps are set as specified, but also to fine tune to your liking.

It currently gets used daily along with Tempest and Venty. These are also the three I took on a recent vacation. It was really nice to have the side bubbler in the included hard case.

Haven't seen much activity here. I'm still on the fence and was hoping to see more posts. Everyone still liking their AE?
hell ya. still the best bang for your buck. get it, you'll be in high cotton. it will rock your world, it melt your butter, it's going to shock your monkey. lol

I think it’s ugly, but it’s used daily or near as makes no difference for me. If I could find a stem that cools well enough but is more open that’s the only change I would make to mine.

try and use a dry bong full of 8mm marbles or boro balls; or turn down heat or use ss screens to fit the glass tubes will with 6 mm gems or balls. they work for most people.

Yeah the inserts are a nice idea, but in reality a pain to use. The screens clog really fast and when using bigger balls they block the airpath really fast. I switched to smaller balls I had and it works, but the airflow is not as good as I like.

Using the AE outside in this temperatures, the whole concept seems to struggle, as it takes ages to get some decent vapour. I restricted to airflow to half open, which seems to help.

Overall the AE still satisfies me and is in my current rotation, but maybe it's not a vape for everyone. Trying to start a group session during holiday time, hoping that the ae plays his advantages: getting a group of combusters high with nice flavours, while not hitting them or their lungs like a truck.

Frankly, easily clogged screens are maybe my biggest complaint about the AE. 2nd place would be no longer having a foldable mouthpiece or an easier way to make it pocketable without risk of glass stem breaking or poking out like that.

But small quibbles compared to such high quality sessions with that dope halogen flavor.

I have solved this problem by simply replacing the screen with this screen. The screen takes way longer to get gunked up and even increases air flow. Don't grind your material too fine or it will escape the bowl. The screen is a perfect fit and i know you will have fun finding other devices to fit the screen in.

to transport, i remove my stem and put it in their doob tube carrier and carry it in a different pocket.

a med grind and use modified small basket screens on each end of stem, works well

Yeah, good ole doob tubes! Brilliant.

A very cool @Duba project could be a leather AE case with an integrated side compartment for doobtube to hold mouthpiece.

@kokolokokolokon I love the airflow and increased temp options but the thing that's kept me from the Angus Enhanced (I'm on my 3d regular Angus) is that I actually like the cooling chamber on the OG (and the one on the Mighty). Any chance YLL will ever make an optional cooling chamber to make it more portable.

I love the straight up stem design on an on-demand vape (like the Aerolite), but on a session vape that stem looks like it will start burning my throat after a couple minutes. Am I wrong about that? Beside that fact that I'm scared I'll crack it carrying it around in my pocket while walking my dog (my favorite time to use my Angus)

I find the stem with a small balls that it actually cools very well. I don’t find it burns my throat. If you crank it up to 210 or above, it might slightly but really it’s not bad. I don’t think it’s any worse than say Venty.
