Fair, but they also nixed the wood, which is never a bad thing. Wood doesn't belong in vapes and comes at the cost of ability to sanitize on the user end. The same with leather, or hemp fiber decorations.

I would have preferred a metal shell, myself, but it's clear they are aligning closer to the aesthetic of another vape on the market, which I think will work well for them.

Few hundred threads on wooden vapes and accessories in this forum that would tend to disagree with this overreaching false statement.

Also material safety is not allowed in device threads.

I love that the Angus Enhanced can be wiped down with a alcohol soaked cloth to sanitize the outside of it. As a portable vape, I like that it can go from somewhere filthy as the outside world to as clean as my bed with a proper procedure. I was tempted to try the previous version when it was on sale, but had to avoid due to not having this feature.

This is predicated on it being made of a type of plastic that can handle rubbing alcohol, of course.

Do you have a compromised immune system?
How many things do you regularly sanitize this way? The knob on the bathroom door? The front door? The car's steering wheel?

I am not thinking right now of any vape that can't be wiped down on the outside with an alcohol wipe? Including the og Angus.

This is putting a damper on the first statement, above. Why say you love this feature of a brand new product when you are not sure it is a feature?

First thing an IT tech does when they touch your mobile phone is wipe it down well. Know how many people use a phone on the toilet ? 🤮
That's different, it is a stranger's phone, don't know where it's been, etc, etc.

I questioned (for one thing) the need to sterilize one's own vape simply because it had been exposed to the "filthy...outside world." I don't happen to see my world that way.

@maremaresing, my apologies for focusing on this, I hope this is not taken personally, nor too seriously.
And sorry to the Angus peeps for going off topic on page 1!

Wonder what the OD of the stem is, that WPA looks awfully similar to the POTV adapter, e.g. the OD of a dynavap or FW9 stem.

Curious what the heat up time is. I imagine roughly on par with the last revision of the previous Angus.

I too was surprised to see they dropped the wood on this version, but maybe it's for the best.

The new design reminds me of an outdoorsy flask.

I think the OD of the stem is 12mm. I recommended to them to make this change of mouthpiece to avoid ant plastic in the route in a easy way and give thw chance to use custom stems. I didn’t know potv has a similar mouthpiece (i’m from eu and i dont use to check potv)

The heat up time is the same of the normal angus.

They quit the wood to avoid problems they had and to make the device not get so hot on the outside

Yeah that was my first thought. This should hopefully avoid the wet batteries issue. A smart upgrade.
I would be shocked if it was moisture coming out of the wood, that would be an indication of extremely poor quality control on that material.
In the fine woodworking game, a shop without a moisture meter is like a car factory without a tire pressure gauge.
Maybe they had no great dependable sourcing on the wood and walked away from the idea, as 'plastics' are so much more, uh, dependable in manufacturing.

YLL blamed the wood, and that appeared to match with customer's experience. In any case no wood body to be found here, so I assume that is not an issue.

Oh but it is still the Angus, basically the V2, although it is quite different and they probably have so much stock of the original that they don't want to go with that naming convention lol I'm sure they will continue to sell that cheap as long as they can...
So this should be moved into the Angus thread, since this thread is for there on demand model that is totally separate, this new Angus Enhanced has the same heater and chamber etc, the shell is different (including the batteries doors) and the mouthpiece, plus it has ability to set the temperature options... Seems like it solves two of my big complaints on the original although I'm not sure it would satisfy my other problems
So @Shit Snacks , do tell, do tell: what are your other problems? … the regular Angus thread is a bit intimidating in that respect. Plus, you addressed some issues that this model addresses here. So: what remains? Inquiring minds and all.)
I didn't like the build design or size/style much personally, but also the fixed metal chamber and session cooking implementation of the halogen (poor flavor and vapor quality though others felt differently it certainly was powerful, and the owner of mine seems to be very satisfied)

(Quoting my posts^ on this subject from their on demand thread so they are more on topic here)

Yeah they seemed to streamline the design for better mass production and more mainstream audience...

That bubbler mouthpiece actually looks fantastic, like an easy go-to way to use it... The new glass mouthpiece is great for the modularity, although I still wish it had capability for glass stem loading as chamber and not just pathway... However those new glass dosing capsules seem really interesting! Though I guess they still go inside a metal oven?...

Although I'm not sure session style device like this is going to be for me, I think the ability to customize the temperature settings so they can go lower would be a much more enjoyable experience for me... Maybe I'll get to try one someday and find out, hope they nail the build quality control, we shall see!

My Roffu handles iso wipes just fine.:2c:
They quit the wood
I liked the look of the wood but the retaining system for the batteries would not work too well made from wood.

Does this new unit have LEDS for what temp you are on or does it use haptic feedback only?
Also, the USB-C ability to change temps sounds good but would be even better if available on a BT app as well.
It looks like a nice upgrade.

That is why I said
BT app as well.
I would still own a Mighty if it had BT control as well as the LCD screen kept crapping out and my Puffco Peak Pro would now be useless as the LEDs on the unit have stopped working...the app saved it from being early landfill...the more options for control the better...the old saying, better off to have it and not need it than need it and not have it:2c:

Well I guess I'll tell you what the negatives were then, often the bluetooth is always on and drains the battery, also the apps are often not consistently supported (and can drain the battery of your phone forcing you to enable location and other settings etc not to mention privacy concerns) and it just being an extra complication, though that is an interesting example where it really came in handy! Ya so many angles of course, compromise

craaaaazy, counterfeit CE logo still there 🤫
Yes this one is the "China Export" marking and not the European one ("Conformité Européenne").

I don't think a lot of vapes companies have submitted the technical file for CE compliance. Dry herb vaporizers are probably not concerned yet by EU health, safety and environmental requirements.

The good one is on the left :
