Today I pulled out my Legacy. I decided to do a little Maui Wowie. My goodness…..I’m super well medicated, AF!! I forgot how well this beast works!! I think that sometimes we need to change up our routine and dust off one those that you have not used in years and see if it rings your bell. You might be surprised. Namaste, y’all!

Same to me here with my OG brick…
Dayum ! I forgot after 2 or 3 hits (sic!) i wasn't able to count hits anymore...
It took dust because of it's potency, but now i remember why… :D :D :D :D :D
BTW, i'm high AF now, that device hit me like a truck (a big big one…)... I'll write on my sticky brick box : "Handle with care".
…at least, next time i'll remember why there is some dust on it ^^

Just to remember to get ready for a game as i open my box, i wrote "FUMANJI" on my weed box… F instead of J is here for "Smoke" in my language... :D :D

I still don’t quite get the on-demand feature. But, three minutes and I was floating.
I got an iq2 from a friend swapped him an old da buddha as i have the SSV now, it odd experience i do get vapour but its not at all satisfying like the rips i get out of the legacy which are insane ive tried that spacer ans air dial all ways id say it needs to be fully open, suffice to say it wont be replacing my legacy anytime soon but for a small stealth one its pretty good :)

I’ve owned the legacy. It’s a very good device. I have a new one now as well but will probably sell it for the holiday herd trimming lol.

I pretty much gave up on "on-demand", with 12 seconds to heat up, it works much better in session mode. With the "new" screen component it never chars any more. I usually start out at 400 or 390 so I get vapor out of the first puff. Then I move it down to 375ish for the next and from there I'm good to go at 360 where I leave it for the rest of the session. It still works fine if I just leave it at 360º but it takes a couple draws to get the "big vapor". Anyway since I gave up on on-demand mode I love this thing. Flavor is outrageous, especially with any minty flavored herb.

I love dropping concentrate in a bed of ground flower in the Legacy. First it's flavor-town and then the effects come in... Never used a concentrate pad, got a Source Orb Versa with a SIC crucible when I want a straight up dab.

Hey guys, now that it’s almost mid way through 2022, how are you guys liking your devices? Did the special editions fix the initial issues? For those of you that have used or own a TinyMight, how does it compare?

It works great but it does not hit like a tinymight. But I have to open a close my tinymight often to reset it to work again... so it's not ideal but I still use it since nothing else hits like it.

How would you compare the two for someone in the market for an on demand portable vaporizer with a clean, all glass vapor path? I’m a bit of a lightweight so I may not need to massive hits of the TM

I'm the biggest booster of the Legacy I know. I've got maintenance and cleaning down to pit-stop crew efficiency and I'm very into its performance strengths. I recently purchased a TM and in general it has many advantages. If I had to choose only one it would be exceedingly difficult. However, the TM is more versatile, I would say. Yes, it hits like a howitzer but that is very controllable. Having both is, for me, ideal. Hope this helps.

If you mostly vape at home and want to use a water device with it, get the TM. If you want something to take out and about with you then get the legacy.

Reasons: The tiny might can be hot without water, but it's the only true all glass air path between the two. And the legacy sucks when used with water adapter.

I purchased a green special edition and couldn't get it going correctly it is in the drawer but now I might check you previous tips to get it going like it should work. You've given me new hope! 😊

I don't have a TM but I have a Tetra P80, Splinter Z, Mighty, an Xvape V3, and a Firewood 7: the Legacy is still in my rotation. My wife likes it the best. We have an original, but with with the "screen component" and I did remove the tiny D shaped screen. The Legacy is underrate it is definitely a great vape. A little messy, you have to stir to get the best flavor, and you have to get your own maintenance system down, but as for flavor, and cooling it's been top notch.

Her latest reply this morning after I asked if it will be a successor to the legacy, when it will be announced, and if they will do the $99 preorders again:

Hi, just wait another week, and yes just for, it will be a better version of the legacy, better cleaning, bigger chamber, and yes you can get it around 130 again, presale. updates coming next week;) just wait for this, it will be the best vape this year for sure!

I’ve learned my lesson with AirVape. I won’t buy another product from them after the Legacy debacle. Their CS is terrible. Note how you ask will there be $99 preorders and she replies that you can get it around $130 “again.” I don’t recall a lot of demand for bigger chambers. My first vape was an X and it sits unused along with my Legacy.

I'm a little confused about this "Legacy" debacle. I also got a $99 preorder. Yes it was nearly impossible to use before they added the "screen component". And I know some people were pissed about he $5 shipping to get the screen, but I've been pretty happy with it ever since. I've had a couple issues with the magnetic lid BUT Airvape CS has been very helpful getting those resolved.

Since then my biggest complaint has just been that it's messy, maybe that "bigger chamber" means it will be easier to fill...

So i'm watching some reviews of this vaporizer and it seems that the only big problem was combustion in the V1 version but now they sell the V2 version that has a gold screen to make some distance between the weed and the heater, does the vape has any other glaring flaw?
Also, can it be used as on demand device? like since the heating is only 15 sec and the heating method is convection could i realistically use this one to get a puff here and there with zero cooking between draws if i turn off the device after any draw? not sure if it already has a dedicated on demand function.

Also what is the deal with the pro version, is it only available in usa?

Thanks.

Edit: ok after reading some posts from @floribud , i think that device is not for me, i hate stirring and high maintenance required:p

You mentioned you don't like maintenance, and both versions of the Legacy really do require some maintenance. There are much easier devices out there, so I guess the Legacy wouldn't be so good for you (although if you get comfortable with the maintenance it is very rewarding). I'll answer some other questions for the record, just because I'm a fan.

Yes, there is a dedicated on-demand function, and it works well. However, for whatever reason, the Legacy seems to operate perfectly in session mode, with slightly less hassle. When you're not drawing, it's not vaporizing, so the material stays fresh, and you don't have to wait for heat-up. But some may prefer on-demand. Both are easy.

There wasn't any version 2 (except the Pro). But after the original came out people started modifying it in all sorts of ways to work better, and that led to them distributing an extra part that made it all work better. It was kludgy, but it worked well. It wasn't so much that the material was near the heater, but that the hot air came up in a narrow column, and that darkened some parts a lot while leaving others greenish.

AFAIK the pro is available everywhere. It improves some things over the OG, but Airvape isn't what I'd call strong on design. They have some great ideas, but from an industrial design standpoint they're rather weak. So the Pro is better in many ways, but not really a leap forward. More of a clumsy step or two. OTOH, it hits much, much harder.

The device is really perfect for a certain kind of use. Perhaps someday you'll enjoy it. Good luck.

I'm probably gonna open a topic for my next portable in the askFC section and the legacy is gonna be one of the models that i'm gonna put on the list, you're welcome if you wanna make your case there and defend his honor:D

P.s. i can't find the pro in europe...
