Welp, I've been happy with my AVLP and was planning on doing trade in deal when this came out, but this preorder special is too good to pass up! I'll echo what others have said and really hope the dosing capsules still work with this new version. Also would be amazed if they found away to make working with a water pipe easier.

Now the only question is what to do with my original AVLP when the new one comes in.

Is this just an aesthetic change? Vapor path sounds good and all and display. Hoping for a smaller version of the AVLP2

The vapor path was a huge issue and apparently its fixed. For me...that was really all the improvement needed. It is a pretty perfect vape. I love it lots.

Do you have to do anything special if you use a dosing cap with half of it left empty? Sometimes I only need a micro-dose, and other times a full one. I remember people saying that there was a thing you spin in the lid to make it work better with less flower. What do you do when you use a dosing capsule?

That option is only possible to use without capsules but I do not see why would there be a problem with half filled capsule. I have capsules but do not usually use those, I prefer to use a mesh filter cut to size over the material and pull out the dosing thing as far out as possible without falling.

I've underloaded the dosing caps many times. They vape just fine being underfilled. You can underfill them as much as you want. I do not use the microdosing disk you are talking about, I removed it since I use the caps.

Is that to get better air flow? What do you think of the airflow? Is it very open?

If you really need an open air flow TM2 or solo3 might be better, I use caps and remove the lil oblong vape path screen and micro dose disc (hassle to clean but they're gone in the new alp2 I think) which opens the airflow up a bit. The new vape path may help with that.

I just bought a Tempest 2 and Aroma XL in preorder form. I hadn't read much on the og legacy pro until AFTER a knee-jerk fomo price-fueled buy (good job with your comments on here, everyone!).

Having read a bit now, though, I'm kinda excited to give it a go! I don't use my Mighty+ as much anymore (the slow pre-heat kills me) and haven't felt like spending the money on the TM2 so it'd be cool if this is able to somewhat fill that void. I've not had an on demand type flower vape yet!

Hopefully the issues with cleaning are fixed. I just need to figure out what else i need to get like the dosing capsules (Hopefully at least one or two come with it).

The AVLP is the only pocketable heavy hitter on the market and in my opinion, the perfect size to power ratio. Any smaller and it would be slower to heat up. Any more powerful and it would have to be larger. It’s the smallest DHV in its power class.
