Airizer Air vs Flowermate V5.0s

Depends on your needs, bought both to take with me to a recent trip to Eastern Europe (visiting in-laws). The intention was to leave the Flowermate behind and bring the Air back with me (sans dirty glass, naturally).
While I was there traveling around cities and visiting old castles, I found myself leaning on the Flowermate - it was a nice "disposable" vape which I could comfortably carry in my pocket fully loaded and ready to use (Note, I'd pack the oven full and run one session at each temperature to get a complete extraction). I tended to save the Arizer Air for sitting on the front porch of my inlaw's house and relaxing.
I love the Air, it's great for sitting around and puffing away slowly on a vape. It has a bunch of aftermarket stems to alter the performance, and the taste is better than the Flowermate (slightly different oven designs). The tradeoff is that you have removable 'stems' with the air - this is an extra bit you need to carry around - of course with a travel pouch, you can have several stems pre-loaded and ready to vape. Plus the Air has a replaceable battery, so you can always have extra juice.
It's really a toss up on which one is better - depends on your situation (as it always does - there is never a "best vape" for everyone - just like cars, everyone one's needs are different).

Thanks. I've got the Flowermate and I'm considering getting the Arizer Air if I get a favourable comparison.

The Air and the Flowermate both use conduction heating (the oven gets hot - heat is transmitted through physical contact). For the best experience in an "upgrade", you should consider a convection based vaporizer which pre-heats the air before it hits the herbs - This provides greater flexibility in load sizes and a better overall taste and extraction (herb isn't really cooking when you're not inhaling)
Yep left it in my wife's childhood bedroom, waiting for my next visit (left the batteries at roughly 70% charge so they won't completely die on me). Although I hope to bring an even better vaporizer with me for my next trip like a firewood

I'm a firm backer of the Air and Solo, with a bit of bias towards the Solo.
Why?
The best Terpene profile (Heavenly Flavor) at low temperatures, and incredible efficiency. All glass vapor path. My bubble hash tastes soooooo friggen good out of a Solo stem.
Amazing product considering the price.
@PlanetVape has both The Air and Alfa on sale, add in conversion rate, and it's fairly cheap...
However, I personally love @VaporNation and Randy @PuffItUp has an astounding reputation, and he will price match any legitimate offer.

My first vaporizer was the FMV5.0s, then got the air a few months after Vaping on the FM.
IMO the Air has better build quality and smoother vapor. I'd pick up an Air if you were looking for smoother and better vapor quality...but if money is a concern you can't go wrong with spending $80 on the FM.

I've used my Arizer Air countless times, my friend's FM 5.0s, and my other friend's FM Pro.
I highly prefer the Air to both units.
Vapor potency and flavor come through in the Air ime.
My friends seem to like their FM's more, but I see many more positives in the Air. Plus, I love being able to pre-pack stems and be good to go, and also the fact that the only thing that really needs cleaning are the stems. Super easy to keep non-smelly, super easy to clean, super easy to vape, I love everything about it.
*must note, some people find airflow an issue with the Air.

if you want top performance for under $200, get the Arizer Air imo.
WAIT until one comes up on classifieds, might actually be one there now, as you can get an Air for ~$100. No competition then. I ONLY see FMs winning in terms of price, but if you can match the price or get anywhere near the price of a FM, you win imo.
I purchased my AAir for $170 having never used one or any of the flower mates.
I would pay $170 again, knowing what I know now about all three units.
Happy with my purchase.

Something to consider is the FM (aside from mini?) lacks an isolated air and vapor path and no user changeable battery. There are better, cheaper units out there in the xmax/storm, imag+ and dare I say herbstick eco. But I digress, why by something you KNOW you'll want to upgrade from?
Arizers hold their value very well if you decide to buy and maybe sell down the line. I suggest you buy a different vape, strait up.

...i would suggest considering the solo over air
especially if your using it as a daily driver/main vape...not knocking the air, its a great vape (mini solo?), but imo the solo is heads above. i grab my solo over my air 100% of the time.
I think the replaceable battery attracts people towards the air but i wouldn't make your decision solely based on that.

The solo is just a tank that I would never have a place for, unfortunately, and others may be in the same boat so I'll shed my light
My Air is to be discrete...I only have one battery (so the "replaceable battery" doesn't get much use)
While I've heard the solo has slightly better performance (Imagine the exact same setup with a larger battery...technology is still the same, just a bigger battery), and so it has faster heatup and can hold temp better, but its much too large to get any use from me. Also believe battery life is better.
I see the solo as a laptop and the air as a phone...
You aren't gunna pull the solo out when you're walking down the street...you'll most likely wait til you're stationed or in privacy (assuming your legal status).
But...You'll always reach for it over the air when you're at home.
The Air being a phone, can be pulled out with ease with pre-packed stems, easily passable as an e-cig.
It all depends what you need the vape for.
I give +1 to the solo, just not for my uses.
