So mine arrived a couple days ago and it is quite nice! The design and all the accessories are very well thought out, even the manual is impressively simple yet comprehensive.
The build is solid, plenty of plastic but high quality that fits together well, while the parts that matter are all steel and ceramic. It is a little hefty though ergonomic and not too crazy considering there are two bowls and a lot of battery life. The cooling maze in the mouthpiece is neat and the whole mp is pretty nice. The adjustable airflow intake and onboard stir tool are also very nice touches!
It did have that new smell so I ran several burn offs after my extra long first charge, no outgassing or anything, so after a while I tried a bowl that was pretty pure tasting at low temps already despite that fresh high temp scent. I imagine it will break in quickly with more and more use, very nice to see with a product mass produced in China. The vaporpath and airpath are isolated, clean, simple, and seem effective.
I did put a screen in the bottom of the chamber I used just in case, since the holes are a little large though I would prefer to use them. The top screen in the mp is a bit better with smaller holes and more of them, but ofcourse that is where its more necessary so no problem as is. I also used the glass chamber ring for this first bowl (it also came with a ceramic one) and packed it full course ground.
I did 3 back to back 4min sessions temp stepping from 320 all the way to 425 at the end. After a stir I did one more session that I stopped early. Flavor really shined low and the temps felt pretty accurate for effects and clouds, you can really rip it too. The mouthpiece does a nice job of cooling even though it is so compact, however with back-to-back sessions it can get quite warm but the tip where you actually put your lips stayed relatively cool even so.
Anyway I of course have much more testing to do, but I wanted to share my first impressions with you all. I really like the stir tool and funnel (it fits perfect in the bowl, unless you use a chamber ring then it will sit on top) and look forward to the water tool experimentation... Feeling a lot of versatility here!
And some photos from that first bowl:
Glass chamber ring and my own steel mesh screen added to bowl over heater
And now all loaded up, with the funnel slotted into the empty spare bowl
This is after those first 3 sessions that were mostly below 400 I think, and this nice stir tool stores in the bottom
More to come!
