Advise on getting a portable vaporizer

First off I want to say, this site is amazing, I stumbled across it just recently and I've been spending hours, in the forums.

I started with carts and they were ok, but left me unsatisfied. So I've only recently gotten into dry herb vaping.

I have a desktop vaporizer (E-nano from EpicVape) that I absolutely love, but as much as I love it, I don't like being tied down to an outlet. So I'm hoping to get some advise/recommendations on a portable vaporizer.

I've tried and liked the Venty, but it's way out of my price range. I've tried another friend's TinyMight2 and I like its replaceable battery but it's still a bit out of my price range. I'm not looking for big rips/clouds, I'm a micro doser and do most of my vaping on the lower end of the temps. Looking for something with convection/hybrid heating and a replaceable battery. The budget puts me in the sub $250 range, so a mid-range/low end of the high-range unit. Oh, I'm also in the US sourcing from overseas is not a great option for me. Does not need to be stealthy, but being easily portable is a must.

Thanks for any advise you all might have.

Welcome to FC!

I of course think the TM2 is worth shelling out for, if you can find it somewhere, used even the previous version, but also with aftermarket stems... At least hook at home?

You might want to check out the firewood however, FW9 might still be available, new X is being produced, it is similar except more hybrid conduction with a ceramic chamber instead of using the glass stem as your chamber (still has glass stem pathway) with the same battery and full temp range capable, should be a little cheaper at least...

Welcome to the forum, I might be biased but the Roffu sounds like it will suit your needs, you could add a WPA and capsules and come in well under your budget,

I second the Roffu, and add to that, you may want to consider getting a Solo 2 or Solo 3. The Roffu uses a replaceable 18650 battery, but both Solo (2 and 3) don't have replaceable batteries. The reason I suggest either as an option is that the battery in each unit last so much longer than regular batteries, and can also be used while plugged in if the battery needs charging.

But, the roffu is smaller, and much more portable. I used my solo 2 multiple times a day for 7 years and the battery still works. I just prefer the experience on the roffu.

As long as your not set on having a battery powered device, I'd like to recommend what I've discovered way too late, a great tasting, portable which is great for (quick) microdosing: the Vapman Click. You can get it for under 100 and just need a torch to get it going. Maybe also worth a look for you. You can also get it in the US.

I will second the Arizer portables even though they don't have replaceable batteries (most can actually be replaced by opening the unit). I have a Solo3 but you could be under budget with an Air Max or SE which are great for microdosing. In fact, I think they're updating the Argo imminently and it does have a replaceable battery if memory serves.

Other than Arizer, a lot of good portables have been mentioned already. Have a look at the POTV Lobo as well.

Nothing easier to keep clean than any of the Arizers, broken up buds are fine so grinding is optional. Going out on the back deck right now with an Air SE and some very nice herb, Redbuds are in full bloom down the hill.

I have to agree with Shit Snacks. I started with a firefly 2+, then a Davinci IQ2, then a mighty, and then a TM after I found this site. That was 3 years ago and I still use my TM2 (I just gave my TM to my brother). I would have saved ~$700 if I started with the TM and skipped the first 3. If you already like vaping with the plug in, you know you like vaping. But I do get having a budget, maybe keep your eyes on the classified, I do recalling seeing TMs offered occasionally.

If you join the discord EntExchange (you can google it for the link), there are regularly TM2's listed for sub $250. There's actually one up right now for $225, although it may go quickly. Good luck!

As others have said, the Arizer devices are also great for convection leaning hybrids, and you might also consider Sticky Bricks or Dreamwood vapes if you're ok with using a torch (totally understand if you aren't tho). If you really want a budget vape, XMax V3 Pro could be good too, but know that with budget vapes you'll be sacrificing flavor, especially coming from the E-Nano, which has phenomenal flavor.
